Stix Billiard Club – Stuart

Visited a few months ago. Great bartender who I think was the manager. Didn’t open until 1600 when we wanted to play during lunch. Good tables, cues, and drinks. Open up earlier and I’ll give it 4 stars.

Unattentive bar staff, and dirty once smoking bar but not cleaned after no longer a smoking area just months ago, still stinks and is disgusting, order food from the roach infested kitchen next door, and the cook wont wear gloves, have a hat on, and will likely drool in your food because their so drugged off their asses. I’d suggest maybe burning yourself alive before coming here, or going to Amy’s which is a 7 minute drive.

I have been here several times, I think as long as you don’t go late it’s a decent place, but I have heard the stories about rowdy 20-​something
Staff is OK, kind of obsequious but attentive.
$ 10 an hour is a bit pricey for a table, but «happy hour pricing» is $ 5 an hour, and they bill by the minute, not by the hour, so that’s pretty cool.

Wow, this place was bizarre. Bartenders drinking behind the bar (one of the bartenders said it was his birthday), this is a huge no-​no here in PA. I guess maybe different laws in FL? No security staff, very little carding occurring (and even then it wouldnt matter anyway, because the place was so crowded and there was so little staff, it would have been EXTREMELY easy to pass drinks to minors). There was a group of young looking kids drinking liquor out of a brown bag out in the parking lot, the few members of staff who were working didnt seem to mind. Most of the bartenders working seemed more interested in looking cool than serving drinks. Place was good for people watching if you’re adventurous, and you kind of need to be brave as with no security staff (on a friday night mind you), it seems as if problems could occur at any moment.
The saving grace here was the older bartender, maybe early 50s, had a great personality, and seemed to be the only bartender interested in making drinks. Also, he is the only one I saw check an ID.
Overall, this place is SKETCH!

New and renovated place that opened recently in sleepy Stuart. Located in the same plaza as Tapa’s. A lot of constructions. Follow the signs.
No coat check but I.D.s are a definite. Amazingly friendly staff. I think they should definitely make an expansion, have an outdoor seating, and place more pool tables than just 8. Also, live music band would be fabulous! The only really dislike I have are the prices, a little awkward but they are doing pretty well starting out in town and I think their business and traffic would increase if they added the above listed. Overall, this place is a new favorite of mine.
