I love this bar. It has a great atmosphere and killer drinks and the prices are very very reasonable. The bartenders here kick ass. Not only do they make amazing drinks, but overall they’re just cool people who seem to really enjoy what they’re doing. It comes through in they interact with the customers as well as the way the whole bar is run. This is exactly the kind of place I want to come and have a couple of drinks after a long day at work.

Fantastic place. Bartender was great, and the people who go there are fun. I had a blast last night talking with the younger people. They were all entertaining and I wish them all the best.

Sickass jukebox! Feels like I’m in a cabin in a mountain. Makes me feel like it’s snowing outside, the weather compliments this place perfectly!

Good atmosphere, nice locals, loungey couches, right volume on the TVs and chatter. Fair prices, good happy hour, solid community events.

Really nice bar steward ;) Dead quiet on a Tuesday afternoon. But the place looks really nice and the barman was really nice. Also the barman is very reminiscent of Aiden from sex and the city. And he served a mean Cosmo.

My go-to bar, I’ve been going for the past three years. I go even even if I plan on milking a single drink for a few hours. The atmosphere, people, and chillness is just that good. The drinks ARE good. Don’t get me wrong. The bartenders make a damn good drink and are generally just really great, friendly people who really care about their workplace. You can tell they’re proud of it, especially since it officially because Residuals Tavern last year and went through some interior updates. The people who go are chill and personable. Somehow, it’s really easy to become real life friends with the guy you debate baseball with. I don’t feel pressured to dress a certain way(sometimes I end up there in my knee high socks after softball games, other times I’m in a dress). Sunday nights are really entertaining, karaōke there is just fun and it’s back in the swing of things after a little hiatus when the owners switched. They just started Tuesday night trivia, they have brand new dart boards, and I think I noticed a couple new TVs. Prices are good. I’ll pay $ 7 for a shot of Jameson or a Tito’s soda, I think. No food there but Sushi Dan, Vegan World, Tortas Mexican, Shish Mediterranean, and White Drop Snow Ice are in the same complex so you can order from them and bring it in. Don’t think about this, just go. And be happy.

I’m very pleasantly surprised! I was expecting a tiny bar, considering the size of everything else in the area, but it turned out to be a roomy, comfortable place to lounge with friends. My margarita was delicious, and it was fun getting to play darts with my buddies and chat on the comfy couches.

Good place. They just renovated the place. They have good drinks… pour heavy. The staff is super friendly. It’s a typical dive bar… the only negative thing is that the bathroom was super dirty on both occasions. Also last time it was super hot it there. But the cool thing is, you can totally bring your own food. They’re is a sushi, Mediterranean and Mexican restaurant literally next door… so that’s a super plus :)

I have been coming to this bar for over 2 years —(back when it was Meaves Residuals) I’m never disappointed. The bartenders are all very attentive, and friendly. The bar is undergoing a facelift. It looks amazing inside, and plenty of room for parties. There is no kitchen, so you are free to bring in any food you’d like, and there are plenty of great restaurants in the area. They do karaōke on sundays, live band karaōke — «Corey-oke» once per month, and whiskey wednesdays! daily happy hour specials as well. Great place to go!

My friends and I were looking for a new bar to check out on a Saturday and came across Residuals Tavern. We noticed that this place had recently been renovated by the previous reviews and thought, «why not?» It wasn’t too busy, the bar seats were packed but there were booths for us to sit in. I don’t remember the bartender’s name but he was a really nice guy and never made me or my friends wait too long to get our drink orders. There is also a decent sized parking lot so parking was not a problem. This wouldn’t be my first choice bar to go to again as it is a bit of a drive from where I live, but if I’m in the area I would visit again. Definitely worth a try if you’re looking for something new.

The Sunday Karaōke Guy is a Jerk. But, otherwise, it’s a great place for food and friends. Just not on Sundays.

This bar just keeps getting better. everybody’s usually pretty friendly, its easy to get a good conversation going on here. the drinks are cheap, happy hour 7 days a week i believe… I only wish the two smaller TVs at the bar were bigger. Service has gotten way better lately. perhaps its because i’m there more heh. the renovations have made the place nicer. the crowd does change abit as the night goes on(younger later)…Glad to have a good dive bar like this in my hood.

This places used to be Maeves Residuals and is now just Residuals. But now its even better. They have redone enough to not be gross but still retain that divey, neighborhood bar feel. New TVs so you can actually enjoy watching a game. Bartenders have been and remain awesome. Relatively cheap. Darts and board games available. Highly recommend!

Maeve’s no more! They’ve really fixed up the inside, much nicer place to hang out, but still has the great vibe that it always had. Every time I’ve gone in over the last couple of months there’s been a new improvement. Happy hour 4 – 7 every day with happy hour pricing all day Monday. Karaōke on Sundays. Usually a special or two on the blackboard at the end of the bar.

Residuals Tavern: Damn. Love this bar. And I’m more than happy to throw down the first review. Formerly Maeve’s Residuals, a main stay on Ventura for hundreds of years, the Tavern is now open under new management who is kicking up the atmosphere. Updating the quality, while keeping the soul. The place is evolving weekly and inside is looking better and better every visit. A very, very solid neighborhood bar. Worth visiting, even if it isn’t your neighborhood. Hidden on the back corner of a Studio City strip mall… This is truly a «Cheers» atmosphere. It’s a bit of a chameleon, though. The Happy Hour crowd is little of the the older set, which evolves into the younger set at night. Board games, metal darts, good beers and a great staff/crowd. It’s also very spacious with plenty of nooks and corners to tuck into and hide — compared to it’s British neighbor«Fox and Hounds». Especially on busy nights, you’ll appreciate it. Most importantly, the staff is friendly and drinks are great. Good, classic drinks with none of the pretense or price of the other places. It’s not trying to be anything other than what it is: a good damn bar. The nights to attend: SUNDAYNIGHTKARAOKE — That’s my usual night. Finally BACK after a long hiatus, it’s slowly getting it’s wings back. Malena and Don from Q-It-Up have a great selection. The incredibly talented crop of regulars on Sunday, who sing, drink and dance the night away make everyone up on stage feel like a complete rock star. Support these guys! They’re putting a lot of time and love into the reopening. Relax. Have a drink and join the fun. You’re sure to make a few memories. WISHLIST: Make an arrangement with Tortas Mexico next door for late night food service on the weekends!(UPDATE: THEYDIDITONWEEKENDS!)
