Finally made it to this amazing place! I’m sure you know Romanov family has been around a very long time. But this place has been around for 16 years. I’m sure if the walls could talk they would say a lot. I have been trying to come in and enjoy a dinner for a while but was to busy, however finally it has happened. The food is amazing, they just changed there menu and the food ingredients and source. I’m happy to say that this place is truly amazing. You really get to dine like a Tzar!!! I’m coming back this Valentines day will give you an update on what I like and what I recommend.(I hear they are getting a new cocktail many, can’t wait to try!!!)

Went there for their live mic night. Entertainment was amazing! But the food was horrible. I ordered the salmon because I saw on Unilocal that they were a restaurant during the day, or so I thought, so I decided to spend the $ 22 for salmon. Well I was charged a service fee… ok sure I guess your including tip. Not an issue. But the food was the worst I’ve ever had. It was definitely frozen fish n they tried to use balsamic glaze to cover up the fishy taste. It was served with a side of fries. And I was hungry so I thought I could stomach the food but I guess the food is really along the lines of bar food

Enjoyed an amazing evening with great friends last weekend at this very classy venue. Such a beautiful environment, great food, staff took great care of us as always… If you are looking to meet great people, have amazing food, enjoy great entertainment and have a fun time then this is the place. Thanks Romanov for always taking great care of us and treating us like royalty! We will see you again this weekend for another birthday event. High class all the way!

A great place for corporate events. I’ve looked at many places and decided to host the company event at Romanov. We selected a pre fixed banquet package which was excellent. The place is elegant the entertainment was great. The restaurant management and the waiter really did all what they can do to make our event super. Although the restaurant is known as on a high price side it actually not since the price includes a gourmet banquet menu with hot and cold drinks and alcohol, in addition they have live music and a dance floor. The place is suitable for gala evening wear to dressy casual. We started the event at 7.30 and all stayed until midnight. The same event at a high end hotel settings would be far more expensive and usually it ends by 10pm.

This place has the worst food in the planet . They should take pride serving there Russian food but it’s exactly the opposite . They charge a flat 100 dollar per person and it comes with the worst food which I did not touch . If you want something better they charge more it feels like bait and switch.

The worst experience ever. Food was terrible, music was so loud. They charged 120 $ for per person but food was not even 10 $. I will recommend everybody not to go there. All my guest left home hungry.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. I had the worst experience I think I’ve ever had at any bar/lounge establishment in LA. A few friends and I decided to go support a friend of ours who was performing. We asked a server where we were allowed to sit, because some tables had reserved signs on them. She told us anywhere that doesn’t have a reserved sign and pointed us to a table that would be fine to sit at. We order food from the one saving grace of this place, our server, and wait for the show to get started. We eat as more of our friends show up and order food. As the show is going on, some freckled face man comes over and is telling a security guard that we are at his table and need to get up. The promoter comes to us abs says«y’all gotta go, this is a reserved table» we try to explain to him that there was no reserved sign and that the server sat us here. He shrugged and left. Being that we were still eating, we continued to stay seated. A tall Hispanic male security guard comes back to the table and tells us we need to «get up» and didn’t care that we were eating and placed here by a server. He said«it was reserved for some NBA players» I explained that we would get up but that they needed to accommodate us at another table. The security guard started cursing at us and telling us he «doesn’t give a fuck» angry at being spoken to and treated this way, we refused to get up until the promoter/manager came back. The freckled face guy starts standing in front of the table so we can’t see the stage, we ask him to please move and he explodes on us LADIES! He starts yelling for us to «get the fuck off his table» and then the Hispanic security guard comes and chimes in!!! I was livid. Never have I ever been spoken to like that by anyone, let alone two«grown men.» I felt EXTREMELYUNSAFE! We decided to get up, and find the manager.(No where to be found). We paid the server because she was great, but left before even getting a chance to see our friend sing. I will NEVERSTEPFOOTINTHISGHETTO, UNPROFESSIONAL, ABUSIVEESTABLISHMENTEVERAGAIN! The best high end Russian restaurant in this city! If you have been to NY you know what a Russian restaurant is supposed to be like. Nothing in this city can come close besides this place. Not cheap, but you have live band and a show to entertain you while you eat and dance. Be prepared to spend about $ 100 per person, but you stay here like 8pm to 1am easy! Heat place to entertain guests as it is beautiful inside. Excellent for private parties and weddings. Mine is happening here 2÷14÷16. That’s right, I’m getting married ! The world is surprised but the time has come for this stud to settle down. Romanov has friendly staff and Amir the manager is very welcoming unlike most in other places. They have a smoking area for those who would like to increase their chances of cancer and an elevator to get to the place if you have old grandmas Iike myself in the family. Valet parking is present as well. Trust me, take your date here instead of an typical restaurant and she will have a great time. Your chances of getting what you want will increase afterwards as well.

So we had a Girls Night Out at this restaurant just because we wanted to see our favorite band Paris Chansons on a Sunday night. Ok, so this place is very smelly, the ambiance is not welcoming, the décor is so kitch and both the food and the service are awful, not to mention the outrageous prices. We will not be back at this venue ever, it was a bad experience and to top it off I got food poisoning from their old smoked fish plate. I wonder how this restaurant is still in business. They couldn’t even accommodate what they had on their menu, and also the drinks were not even close to what we ordered. We really had high hopes for this restaurant, but the pictures shown on their website are very deceiving. It also looked like a place where young russian girls could find a good ol’ husband for green card. Very disappointed …

Location is Great, Food is awesome, Décor is very beautiful. Who is from Russia or Former Soviet Union they will love to go there since Music and atmosphere is very close to the heart. Went to a friend birthday party and I never stay in any party past 12AM, here I stayed until 2AM the live music was great danced so much which i rarely dance in any other places. Service was good. They have great shows I am not sure if only on Saturdays or any other days as well. But worth to spend money to do birthdays or gathering there.

A great upscale premier Russian Restaurant with rich décor, wonderful food and service and spectacular entertainment! We celebrated our dance studio’s 1st year anniversary there, with a lot of Russian and American students. Everybody was delighted with the whole experience and attention to detail! Thank you for doing such a spectacular job in the field of food and entertainment!

If you are a person who really appreciates great food and live entertainment you are in for a real treat. This place is great for small groups or large groups. They are located in the heart of Studio City. The food is first class from A to Z. If you love Vegas entertainment you are going to love the show that is close to O. This place is very classy and very a suite is proper dress code: The have outstanding caviar to great warm dishes. I highly recommend coming here for a special occasion or holiday party. No matter what you order you will not go wrong. If you love to dance you will enjoy the music. This place for more of a night owl. You will not want to go home until they close. Hands down one of the best Russian restaurants you will go. The entertainment is worth everything.

I had my birthday party at Romanov and was pretty happy with the experience. Romanov is perhaps the most expensive Russian restaurant in LA, and also has the best show accompanying the dinner. This is the kind of place where you throw a party — a birthday, an anniversary dinner, or some other celebration, where you invite people for a dinner/show/dancing at a certain set price per person. I have a lot to say about this place, so I’ll try my damndest to keep it brief. PRICE: Romanov has set pricing per person, and 3 food packages to choose from(low cost, medium, and most expensive or «czar’). The price per person also fluctuates depending on which day you host your party — if you do it on Friday or Saturday, it will cost more because those are the days they have a show as part of your package. Generally, you are looking at spending about $ 100 per person, or in my case, $ 125 per person including tax, tip, alcohol, for a good package on a Saturday night etc. For that price, they provide you a bottle of vodka per 10 people in your party, which is a paltry sum, so do plan to bring your own alcohol(hell yeah, at Russian restaurants its customary to bring your own alcohol). I had 20 people in my party, so we had to bring a lot of alcohol. Food: Romanov provides a huge Russian feast, which ought to be a case for the price tag. You’ll get zakuski(small appetizers prior to the big show), including the best babaganoush I’ve ever had. You’ll be served red caviar with blinchiki and sour cream, Chicken Kiev and some other meat dishes like sashlik. The food is good and plentiful, so come hungry. The Atmosphere: Elegant, though a little kitschy and gaudy. The interior looks like a fusion between a Russian palace and a blue-lit nightclub. Virtually everyone here is Russian, Armenian, or other former Soviet folks. A lot of families and groups of friends. There is a dance floor, where you’ll see lots of people dancing to Russian and other music. The Show: They put on a show with acrobatics and dancing that is fun to watch. My memory from this part of the night, thanks in part to vodka, is fuzzy, but I remember clapping and being happy. Romanov is a fun place for a very special occasion, especially if you are Russian. I would recommend going here at least once, even though the price tag is a little shocking.

Difficult to actually describe what happened here Friday night, but here goes. Armenian-owned, Russian banquet-style food setting, in ridiculously huge(somewhat wasteful if you ask me) portions, decent service, great live music, dancing, cirque de soleil acrobat-type performances, packaged around about 4 – 6 hours of food and music. We left around 2am and I heard the party still goes until 4. Something to behold. Especially enjoyed the live music where they mixed Russian pop song covers(Verka Serduchka — Dolce Gabana, yes!!!) with Rihanna, with a couple happy birthday song shoutouts to patrons in between. Food was good if not great, and the prefix menu we chose had: pickled everything, lots of delicious potatoes, main course of fish, beef/chicken kabobs, awesome mushroom and eggplant appetizers, even some red caviar to boot. The crowd seemed pretty classy and well dressed, sans a few young-ins at the bar rocking the hoodies with big dragons on the back(stay classy!!) For the price ~$ 100 including tip, corkage, and the entertainment, it was a good time had by all. The menu and entertainment choices change here every few months, so I could definitely see myself coming back sometime next year.
