Stopped here for breakfast on our way through Sturgeon Bay and we definitely picked a winner. The pancakes are amazing! And HUGE!!! The cherry ones are absolutely delicious. The brisket hash was also great, could’ve used more brisket, but overall was delicious. Atmosphere was really cool and the wait staff was very nice. Will definitely be back!!!

My go-to place for black bean soup. Spicy and delicious to dip a homemade roll in! I took a cookie decorating class by the owner, Kelly and it was a blast as well! They serve Door County Coffee and always a warm, welcoming environment.

Stopped in to Pop-a-roach/rip-a-duece and felt guilty leaving the place with just a smell, so I decided to grab a morning bun and a cookie on the way out. Turned out to be a real HOLYSHIT experience. The pastries were the shit. The bathroom wasn’t bad either, nice private space. Would come back for the Morning Bun and the morning BM.

Our family decided to try this restaurant after a day touring the Door County penisula. The dining area itself is cozy, with a bit of an awkward entrance. You walk in to the morning take-out stand and a giant commercial refrigerator. Why is this not out of customer view? Or at least cover up the glass front? The meals do not come with any sides, so we added a salad and cup of soup. The salad was a nice mixed of greens; the soup was warm, but not hot and too heavily peppered. For entees, we ordered spaghetti and the chicken risotto. The risotto was heavily salted and only 1⁄3 was eaten. The spaghetti was middle of the road okay. Service was like our food. Okay, but nothing to take note of. All in all, a middle of the road place, not one to recommend nor revisit again.

Stopped in for breakfast. Many choices in the menu. Loved the antique tables and restaurant set up.

I hesitated between 1 or 2 stars but couldn’t really find arguments for 2. The one star is for location. We went here in the late afternoon after reading about their happy our. We enjoyed local beers with a dollar discount. The appetizer that was half off that day was the gorgonzola dip. Our server did not mention happy hour when asking if we’d like drinks. After we asked he did provide details though. We ordered a few starters to share. The food was average. The green salad tasted dry and as if it had sat in the fridge a while. The crab cakes and gnocchi were less than average. The sauces also left us unimpressed. Nothing stood out really and for that it felt a little pricey at 8 – 10 $ per starter. The salad at 3.95 $ was prices ok but didn’t taste fresh. The server did his job and that’s it. I would not go back or recommend it based on this experience.

Cold pastrami sandwich and cold fries. I was too hungry to wait for a new order(after waiting too long for my cold older) and I couldn’t find my waitress anyway. Told the hostess and I got some hot fries. Unfortunately, my sandwich was now gone. No one apologized. A simple«I’m sorry» goes a long way.

My wife and I recently stopped at the Inn at Cedar Crossing for dinner. I had the Grilled Chicken Risotto and my wife had the Seasonal Vegetable Risotto. The risotto was done to perfection with big chucks of chicken and tomato in the Chicken Risotto and several mushrooms types and chunky tomatoes in the Vegetable Risotto. Our server was friendly and very attentive. The beer choices were great as well as a very good wine list. We would go back again.

Stopped in for dessert today and had the best Cherry Pie. I highly recommend it. They also made our wedding cake and it was amazing. Good food and good atmosphere.

We came upon the Inn at Cedar Crossing while shopping downtown. The décor is odd but the food was great. I had the spaghetti with bolognese and my wife had a chicken salad. Bothe were tremendous and the server gracious and efficient. I would recommend this restaurant to all.

We had a fantastic meal here. New York strip perfectly medium rare, asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes. Spinach salad with bleu cheese, green apple slices and warm walnut dressing. Black bean chili. A green salad with delicious house balsamic and slivered carrots. The spinach walnut salad was out of this world! Perfect amount of blue cheese and dressing. The steak was done perfectly, though the steak knife could have been sharper and the cut of meat didn’t need the au jus. Those are our only complaints. The black bean chili had a delicious heat without overdoing it. Service was fast and courteous and knowledgable. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends!

We had dinner here on a recent short trip to Door County because literally every other place recommended by Unilocal was not open on a Monday evening. The potato rolls were probably the highlight of the meal. The food wasn’t bad, but it just wasn’t anything that special. The building has some ambiance, but the service doesn’t really blow you away. I wanted to go somewhere to get some fish(since I assume that’s a local delicacy), but the fish I ordered had several(like, 6) small bones in it. When I showed it to the server, she said, «Yes, those are bones. You probably don’t want to be eating a lot of those.» Good advice. Anyway, even without bones, I’ve had much better fish. My wife’s bacon-wrapped chicken was a bit tastier. All in all, just kind of meh, but a good option when there were no others.

Good food and prompt friendly service. Home made cherry preserves come with the toast. Bread and pastries also homemade. Popular with locals, easy to see why

We stopped here for breakfast while in Door County. They had a very nice breakfast menu. I even found a healthy frittata(egg whites and NO cheese) which I devoured! Their homemade strawberry jam was equally delicious. The staff was friendly, the restaurant was very clean and all the patrons there were happy. Being a breakfast person, I would recommend stopping here to start your day off in the right direction.

This is a very large restruant but has a very intiamite appeal. I enjoyed the old hotel looking décor. It feels like you are in an old time hall in a turn of the centruy hotel. I was a bit annoyed that we sat there for 10 minutes decided on what we wanted and still waited for our waitress. There were 4 tables and 2 waitresses on duty and they couldnt even get us drinks. Finally the busboy noticed we had not been helped and grabbed us drinks and told us about the specials. I went for the tuna melt that was not that good. It was an open face sandwich but had so much mayo it was just goo on toast. My co-worker had the special which was a BBQ pork sandwich. He said it was good it did not look like anything special. I may come back to try breakfast as they had a good assortment of fresh pastries. But I will not return for lunch or dinner.

We came here for breakfast on a Saturday in November. We walked in and I had to ask if they were open because the place was completely empty except for someone buying bakery at the counter. The décor is simple and quaint. I loved the hand carved backs on all the wooden chairs. Each table had a setoff chairs with a different carving. I ordered a breakfast burrito. It was among the best I’ve had. The portion was generous. The waitress kept the coffee cup full, which is a must for a good restaurant. I finished the breakfast with a home made cherry Danish. It was delicious and fresh. My wife enjoyed her breakfast special. We will be regular customers.

Very nice dinner this evening. We started with two excellent wines, followed by a salad that was very fresh and well prepared. The two entrees we had were Italian Wedding Soup, a house speciality, and a Mushroom Duxelle Chicken Breast. The Italian Wedding soup was unlike any I’ve ever had, pack with spinach, fresh veggies, tortolini and three humongous chicken meatballs. My only criticism was that it was too much food by at least half. I realize this is an entrée, not an appetizer, but there was more in the bowl than any reasonable person could eat. The Mushroom Duxelle Chicken Breast was superb. The crunch on the chicken married with the fontina cheese and herbs was a treat. Again, the potatoes that accompanied the dish were the size of two helpings. Maybe it was the end of the evening and the kitchen would just as soon give the food to the customers as throw it out, but the portion size was out of proportion to the protein on the plate. For dessert we had the house cherry pie. The slices were nuked to warm them before serving, but the reheating was uneven. Some areas of the pie were piping hot while others were cold. If you’re going to reheat any pie, do it in the oven so the temperature is even. The service was professional and courteous, and the room is very nice, with a lot of interesting art work and a fantastic tin ceiling. I’d certainly eat here again if I came back to Sturgeon Bay, but I’d sure like to see more human-sized portions!

Breakfast babe on the prowl again! We were staying in Sturgeon Bay so this seemed like a logical place to try. It is very north country cute with good breakfast choices prepared well. I liked the ambiance and the wait staff was very quick and attentive. I had the bacon fritatta that was really good! I didn’t even know I liked them but isn’t that what vacations are for, to try new things? I had fruit, English muffin, coffee and cranberry juice to round out the meal and enjoyed it all. Breakfast babe says, yeah, give it a try!
