The interior was extremely dated but nautical classic. The drinks were nice and strong not going to argue with that. The food was extremely horrible. It is all deep fried or worse. I had a italian beef sandwich and god I did not know you could get bread and meat that dry. I dunked my sandwich in the au jus that came on the side and it was still so dry I had to drink water to wash each bite down. My co worker had a hot dog and fries, it looked average nothing special. For drinks probably a nice place to hang out for a bit, not all night. For food, avoid it all together.

Dated interior, but very interesting. Food just average. Reasonable prices. Found out some interesting facts about the building and the area. If you have an hour to kill and you’re in the area, stop in, get a Bloody Mary, and chat with the friendly bartenders.

The Nautical is a good bar. Really friendly staff and great service. The food I’ve had there was pretty good. It gets really busy at night and is a great place to go out dancing on the weekends.

LOVED IT! We all got fish and it was so good! The kids meal buffet was only 3.75 and they LOVED it! It is a must on our trips to Door County

I know I am old-​school, but the décor here is like from something before I was born. Don’t get me wrong, everything is clean and polished, but it took me several minutes to adjust to the darkness. The food also seems to be a throw-​back to days when everything was heavy. While it’s well prepared, I was disappointed the breading on the perch dinner overpowered the fish so much that it tasted like fish sticks. The waitstaff was friendly enough but seemed to be inattentive despite the fact that the restaurant was not especially crowded. Overall, you would not go wrong visiting the Nautical Inn, but you wouldn’t be missing anything if you didn’t.

Great building, good bar service — we just had some beers. They had a DJ on the Saturday night we were in. There wasn’t really any bass to speak of, but the music was OK and the plus is that we were still able to talk over it.

Nice place. Excellent service. Friendly people. Good salad bar and soup. We ordered off the menu and all 3 of us enjoyed our entrees very much. Would definitely go back.

This is a great little spot with friendly waitresses and stiff drinks. The bloody that we were served up was one of the best I have ever had. The menu consisted of a wide array of items and we only shared an appetizer. The food was not memorable, but hit the spot. If you are looking for a solid spot to have a casual dinner or a couple cocktails, then this is your joint.

It’s tough to rate this as it is a decent restaurant for «up north» but there are some big flaws inherent.
The Good:
GREAT décor — old school with great old paneling and a feel that you ARE somewhere.
The soup bar — consistently amazing homemade soups.
The booths — definitely ask for one. They are semi-​private and reinforce that feeling that you are somewhere special
The staff is really friendly
The SO-​SO
The menu is all about not so fresh foods. A lot of fried foods and the fish isn’t cooked well (speaking to the dried out halibut)
The menu just doesn’t have healthy options
The salad bar has some pretty consistently lame lettuce and only average toppings — the breads were all stale last visit
Bar tender is really slow, touches the fruit/​olives a lot (hey buddy — ever hear of a cocktail skewer? A toothpick?)
We go back as the ambiance makes the average food worth it.
