Whenever I get a craving for Italian beef, or a meatball sub, or just a good pizza-I think of Genoa Pizza first. Their food is always fresh, whether you have it delivered or pick it up at the shop. They have plenty of great deals, including some really good lunch specials. My only negative comment would be in regards to their hours of operation. Being closed mid-afternoons makes it tough to enjoy a late lunch or early dinner. Otherwise, I’m happy to recommend Genoa Pizza’s Sugar Grove location!

Delicious Pizza! Great cheese, it’s gooey and buttery. Yum! Can’t beat buy one get one on Mondays and Tuesdays. We usually get half off pasta on Wednesday as well… try the baked mostaccioli ! Did I mention the cheese is amazing! Sandwiches are okay. Quick pick up.

I thought this pizza was a complete joke. Tasted like cardboard — had no flavor. Not good at all. Have only tried the pizza, so can’t comment on anything else they sell.

Its good! The pizza is good. The sandwichs are good. Seriously I have no complaints! Delivery is quick and they have coupons. I like Daves in hinckley a little better but all in all this is good pizza!

There are 2 pizza places in Sugar Grove(that I know of). Rosati’s in Sugar Grove produces pretty bad pizza and it turns out Genoa pizza in Sugar Grove does as well. In Elburn, the Rosati’s and Genoa is fine, I don’t know what’s wrong with the pizza places in Sugar Grove. Of course, their recipe could’ve changed in the last 5 years since I ordered pizza from Elburn pizza places. Oh, except for Paisano’s; their pizza is excellent. Anyway, I digress. I honestly have nothing good to say about the pizza. We ordered for the first time tonight. We usually order from Paisano’s which is definitely superior. However, I received an email from some deals website for $ 10 for $ 20. So, we decided to give it a try. We ordered at 4:45 pm on a Thursday evening and received our pizza around 5:30 pm, which wasn’t too bad. We received the mozzarella sticks and 14″ pizza(which was $ 22.or $ 12 with the coupon, technically). We ordered sausage and garlic pizza but I honestly couldn’t taste the garlic. They weren’t terribly liberal with the sausage as well. The crust tasted like cardboard and there was barely any sauce on the pizza. Dipping the pizza in the sauce that came with the mozzarella sticks made it a little better. Aside from the deal online, I do not recommend this pizza place.

We ordered 3 huge pizzas and some pasta for a rehearsal dinner and forgot to get some dinner rolls. The employees delivered the forgotten rolls on their own when they realized we forgot them. Awesome customer service. Great food. Highly recommended. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the future.

Can’t say enough about Genoa Pizza. It’s one of the best pizza places I’ve been too and their food is reasonably priced and consistent. I’m really picky about my sauce on pizza and very few places do it right, but Genoas does a fantastic job. It sweet, tangy, and still keeps a tomato flavor without tasting like straight tomato paste(nothing drives me more nuts than pizza sauce with no flavor). I do wish however that they would expand their salad menu to include something a little more elaborate then romaine lettuce and tomatoes. How about mixed greens salad with cucumber and red onion in addition? Anyways, their pizza is excellent. You get your money’s worth every time you go here.

The pizza is soggy and tasteless. Did not like it at all and never went back.

Stumble upon Genoa while on a lunch break at a conference out in SG. I ordered a slice of cheese pizza, which was decent. The crust and sauce were good, but I wasn’t too crazy about the cheese. I also ordered the Genoa salad. Unfortunately it was packed with shredded mozzarella cheese. I actually picked the majority of it off and it was probably about a cup or so! Other than that, the salad was pretty good. Service was fast and prices are good!

My favorite pizza of all time. It’s been a couple of years, but judging by the recent reviews, I’d say they are still going strong. They used to do buy one get on free on Tuesdays. They have Italian beef there and will put it on your pizza. It is amazing. I hope it’s still run by the same guys, because they were super nice.

This place is pretty awesome. In fact, my parents and I are deciding what we want to eat from there right now. Yes, it’s 3PM on a Sunday. Yes, I’m 21 and living with my parents for the summer. Don’t judge! On to Genoa: On Monday and Tuesday they have buy one thin crust pizza, get another one free. It’s a pretty great deal. They have a lot of delicious combinations, like the Olive Oil pizza. It has olive oil instead of marinara sauce, and it comes with ham, onions, bacon, and mushrooms. That’s my absolute favorite, but in the defense of every other specialty pizza, I’ve only tried the Olive Oil. My other favorite is a small thin crust with extra cheese, double pineapple, jalapeños, ham, and bacon. I used to hate the idea of pineapple on pizza, but so long as you have some salty meats to offset the sweetness, it’s pretty epic. The jalapeños are great on there, and the double pineapple offsets the spiciness. But hey, now I’m talking pizza in general, instead of Genoa’s specifically. My other absolute favorite item on their menu is the jalapeño poppers, with cream cheese. They are awesome! I’m a huge fan of poppers, and Genoa’s makes some pretty mean poppers. I’ve tried the fettuccine alfredo, of which I am also a connoisseur. It was pretty average. Not too great, but I’ve definitely had worse *cough*Rosati’s*cough*. 4 stars for great pizza and amazing poppers.

The pies are pretty good here! You can’t beat two large one toppings for $ 20. Cute little family owned place. The sandwiches are pretty good, too.
