My first time here. Loved it! All 3 dishes we ordered were perfect: saag paneer, navrattan korma, chana masala. Reasonably priced beer(Kingfisher Indian beer… yum!) and wine. Full bar. Lots of Indian patrons which speaks to its quality. Fantastic rice and naan. Ask for mango chutney and add to every dish. So glad there were leftovers!

Let me start by saying what a great customer service, when we entered we were greeted right Away, we had a big group and ordered whole bunch of different items such as Biryani, lamb chops, chicken Curry and few other items, everything was pretty delicious. We also had some desert I don’t recall the name but was pretty good, we will return soon.

This place was okay. Had the chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. Food was okay but nothing to brag about. The dish tasted like they went EXTRA easy on the Indian spices. Lacked flavor. I asked for it to be spicy. I was asked for spice level on a scale of 1 – 4. I asked which level is ‘Indian spicy’ and was told 2… and that 4 would be ‘hot, hot, hot’. But 2 would be spicy enough. So I went with 2(I LOVE spicy but figured I’d play it safe with a new place… but getting 2. since the server said it was spicy). Boy! Not only did my food have NO spice. it was like negative spicy… lol!!! Not an ounce of spice or flavor. I don’t know if that was by error or not, but it took away from the flavorful features of that dish. I may give them another try just in case it was an error. But food was timely, hot, and packaged nicely for takeout.

We have been coming here for the longest time, ever since they changed the name and owner. We come here for authentic north indian, read punjabi cuisine. We do not bother with the Indo-Chinese(recently added) or even the few south indian dishes. Lamb rogan josh and goat biryani are our standard dishes along with butter chicken(for son). Also have tried lamb saag(without cream), must say its pretty good. Even though they cater to the American palate, they are flexible enough to make it authentic Indian. Also, the service and ambience is top notch. The owners and the staff are extra caring in their effort to reach out to the customers.

Worst Indian food I’ve had in years. I can’t believe a place like this can exist in a community with such a large Indian and Pakistani community. We ordered the dinner package for two, and couldn’t eat anything. The lamb sheekh kabob tasted like it was turning, the chicken tikka was bland. The saag paneer was barely edible… I literally sat there looking up other restaurants we could go order pickup from because we spent $ 60 and we’re going to leave hungry. The food is barely edible… It’s like just a gimmick«Indian» restaurant that’s dressed extra«exotic» to trick non-Indian people into thinking it’s good. Seriously, go to the chevron gas station at voss and hwy 6 if you want a better meal.

The food is Excellent here. Buffet for lunch is 15 buck all u can eat. The quality is great. U get free Naan with ur buffet. The garlic Naan is the best. Service is awesome. They very quick to refill water and other extras. However the manager is a bit of a pervie. Everytime I come here either with guy or girl friend he always give dirty look and once or two time come to my table when I was by myself and whisper«u are very pretty». And the next time he goes«u been here before, I remember u». As much as I like this place, if u are a relatively good looking woman, don’t come by urself. It get weirder as I’m thinking about go somewhere else for Indian.

Heard about an all you can eat lunch special on Sundays for the month of August 2015. We decided to give it a try. The atmosphere is fairly comfortable and inviting with comfortable seating and plenty of it. No wait at all when we got there for lunch but very quickly got packed not much long after. For service this definitely gets a higher star rating. The servers are very attentive quick and efficient. It is all you can eat and buffet style so you have to serve yourself. They Do a good job of seating and filling up your glasses and taking away plates. They have your standard Indian food choices that caters to the masses. Chicken tikka masala wasn’t as hot as The standard recipe calls for, was a little bit more mild in taste. The tandoori chicken was kind of dry, but had good flavoring. With this one I felt like you win some and lose some. I had a few of the vegetable dishes and I must say that all them were fresh. The naan was made fresh. 3 stars because the food was lacking in taste and flavor. I guess when looking to eat Indian, I expect a robust flavor! I would recommend this place if you are in the area and are looking for a quick Indian buffet style lunch. But I wouldn’t go out of my way to have this as my Indian restaurant of choice.

The food here is delicious and the service is excellent. I go here quite often because the food is so good and also because my friends enjoy it. Today, I tried some new things like the mango dessert and a starter that consisted of very light pastry with veggies inside. You fill the hole in the center with a spicy/salty/watery sauce. I also had a Cosmopolitan. The lamb bryani I had was wonderful. Fantastic meal from start to finish. Also the décor is relaxing and beautiful. And the staff really does go out of its way to help customers. One time a server actually helped my friend set up her iPad. Wow! Now, that is going the extra mile.

I decided to update and clarify my review. Our office co-workers and boss decided to go eat here since in the past we have been a very big fan of this restaurant and the food. The restaurant had made some changes with valet outside and the windows gave it more light inside. Now that the change over in Management things has changed. The new owners said the chef that was there has been there for over 2 years. Even though the manager said that their is a new Head Chef. The assumption is that the food was amazing to now just disappointing. First lets talk about the food. The food was bland and had no flavor and taste to us. A few months again the items on the buffet was delicious as usual but on 7⁄18 it was just horrible. The Butter chicken was watered down or runny. The saag paneer was disappointing and bland. The naan was a little burnt and over cooked. The salad was good and so was the mango pudding. The fried items were a little soggy. The group was a little disappointed since we were use to the amazing food of the past. My co-worker had uncooked and part raw Chicken Tikka. Second lets talk about the service. The staff was gather up by the side area in front of the kitchen talking. It was a challenge getting them to help us refill drinks. I personally bused the tables and try to flag down on of the waitress to remove the dirty plates. We had couple empty baskets on the table so I stacked them so we would have room. Needless to say the service was not excellent. Lastly, when we found out that the chicken was under-cooked and had raw parts. We saw a lady with clipboard with the manager entering the kitchen so we speculated that it was an inspector. The owner Karina said it was not. So we decided to wait till manager was available to speak about the issue. Once the person left we informed him and his chef that came out. We had a group there of all diverse nationalities. The co-worker that had raw chicken was never spoke to. Instead the manager and chef spoke with the only Indian person in our table not in english. So the translation that we got was that the chef did not think realize how quickly the Chicken Tikka would run out and took it out of the refrigerator. This is why there was raw and uncooked chicken. He told our fellow co-worker that she will be ok and that it will not kill her. Keep in mind that they never said an apologized to the person that had the issue or event spoke to her. According to government standards chicken need to be fully cooked to 165 degrees to prevent any Salmonella poisoning or bacteria. So the rest of the co-workers felt aliened by the staff there since they did not address the issue in English. Which we can understand what happened to our chicken that we were eating and the situation. A simple apology would have been nice to the co-worker but instead nothing was said to her. Then on top of that they placed a 18% service charge on the bill. We were pretty upset since the service was less then par and the food was unsatisfactory. Now this is what happened after we left the restaurant and we posted an honest review about how we felt. Since in the past we loved their food. We had brought clients, catering, and even family to the restaurant for the last 4 years. So the manager knows our phone number and information. So today they called and harassed my co-worker rather than address the issue. He politely told them that he felt that the food was bland as well and the service was poor. They asked us to take down our unsatisfactory opinions even though it is our right and the truth of the matter. Not once did they speak with me until I sent a email to ask them to stop bothering my co-worker for that is unprofessional. I have gotten emails from Karina that asked to speak with me. I courtesy called back and was told that she was not there often and she was out of town. Her emails stated that our review was libelous and false. We had 6 other people there that had witness the situation. Regarding the uncooked chicken and how the lack of service unfolded. After several more message Karina asked me to call her husband the owner Abhinav to speak about the matter. My personal feelings is that they are not interested in improving the matter professionally. The Unilocal community is there to give honest feed back of their dining experiences not to be censored or bothered by the restaurant for paying customers’ honest review of their experiences. When something went wrong with the raw chicken not one word of english was spoken to the rest of the customers so we felt discriminated by their actions. Even the person that had the raw and uncooked chicken did not get one sentence of an apology. It has been a couple of days and all I have gotten is that they want this review to be taken down since it effects there business. I understand but everything on this review is factual.

Rumor is, management changed again… not sure, but usually that would result into the food being better or worse… but after yesterday… I was impressed… All veggie dishes were great, tandoori chicken was good(bit salty). Only concern I had was, the chicken tikka masala was a bit runny, not sure if this is how it’s suppose to made… but it sufficed…

Food: I love there variety. The food was flavorful and it wasn’t too spicy but it was not to mild. The Tiki masala, saag paneer, and the vindaloo chicken were my favorite dishes. I was blown away by the mango pudding. It was one of the most richest mango pudding I have ever had. Price: About $ 15 per person for the lunch buffet. It’s a little pricier than other Indian lunch buffets Customer Service: we were immediately greeted by the host. The waiter occasionally and asked if there was anything else he could get us. The waiter would periodically check on us and whether or not we enjoyed the food. Overall: I recommend this place for the lunch buffets! It’s worth a try.

This is my 3rd Indian lunch buffet in the Sugar Land area. It’s been the most expensive so far and, probably my least favourite if I’m honest. It wasn’t horrible, it just wasn’t as good as the other two I’ve tried — it also wasn’t as busy as the other two restaurants. The naan was light and fluffy, but quite tasteless and bland. I tried these things: Goat curry Veg curry Chicken tikka masala Saag paneer Mixed veg pakora I didn’t hate anything, but nothing blew my mind either. Not a bad place to have lunch, but there’s better out there. Sorry Bombay Palace! My Indian buffet exploration continues :)

Probably one of the best Indian places I’ve been. Service outstanding. Buffet is great. Something not on there you want? Just ask! Wow we expected to pay for an additional dish– I mean that is the idea for buffet right? You get what is there, if you want something else ask for a menu– but these nice guys said«What, there isn’t Manchurian veggies up there… hold on» Out came a steaming plate! Gotta love that. Interesting and changing selection everytime we go but always good. Ask for the homemade icecream– I love ginger! Oh man get your own serving don’t share :)
