Church’s Chicken

For some reason the chicken tenders are some of the best things they’ve produced. You can come up with several of these things and it is amazing. The package they come in is pretty big knowing you get your money’s worth for what you are paying. The only thing the chicken tenders are missing are a great sauce they need to complete the meal.

I was lured by the $ 2.99 chicken & honey biscuit bites. I did not like the chicken. It was dry and had a strange taste. It’s almost like the chicken is marinaded in something weird, but I can’t pinpoint it. The after-​taste is salty and leaves you really thirsty. Although the biscuits were good (didn’t need the accompanying honey sauce), I’ll stick with Popeye’s. At least I can taste the actual chicken there!

3 months ago i have purchased an 8 piece meal and when i got home i noticed that there is no biscuits which is supposed to be included in the meal. I was disappointed and called the lady (Maria) who took my order and asked me to come back and pick up the biscuits (that’s BS).
Last week i so happen to buy their chicken again since I have a coupon for a 9 piece MIXED meal. Edith Rubio (manager) took my order and as soon as I got home i noticed that she gave me legs and thighs instead of MIXED and the chicken was hard and recooked. I called her and she told me that now she remembered that my coupon said Mixed.
My point here is if they keep doing this, they need to put a sign in drive thru that say’s CHECK YOU BAGS BEFORE LEAVING coz they’re not gonna care if they give you the wrong order. Lesson learned but I’m not going there ever again.

This review is only for snackers like me. On any given afternoon when I want a guilty snack, I head out to the drive thru. Yes, yes I am no fan of my carbon footprint while I line up at the window :-)
3 items I have tried so far. Jalapeño bombers (3 pieces for $ 0.99), biscuits (2 for $ 0.99) and fried okra (S, M or L). The bombers are the best.
