I called ahead of time to see if they had the pro long wear concealer in my shade, she said they had plenty in stock. Once I get to Macy’s they did not have it. «It was there just not out of the shipment boxes» and try sending me to rice village. After she told me there was plenty.

I have NEVER written a review for any business before… but after continuously having a bad experience at this MAC store i thought i should let people know about my visit. Whenever i go here its like i am invisible! They can atleast say. ‘someone is going to be right with you’…but no. instead, even if the store is like empty with 1 or 2 customers. they would act as if they havnt seen me… last i went there i knew what i wanted… i waited so long. that i had to sit down on one of the makeup chairs looking stupid. Never going back again!

Great collection of mac products and the associates are friendly. When I was younger, I did recall getting a consultation and walking away with a free face full of peoducts. Mac is truly a great brand to wear as far as studio and professional makeup. I have yet to purchase something but their primers and blush and brushes are worth giving a try. I will have to stop in for a more thorough review, sometimes they play music.

Hard to get help here, it was busy but it takes two seconds to say, «I’ll be right with you.» They will just continually walk past you repeatedly. Finally I just stood in the check out line and told the cashier what I wanted(since I knew the exact product I needed… i just needed someone to unlock it for me). He luckily was sweet and grabbed it with no problem. I’ve never been to this MAC location before this visit and probably wouldn’t return again… I’ll just go to my normal MAC location inside willowbrook mall.

Super friendly and knowledgeable makeup artist. It gets really busy here but if you are patient they will always come and help you. The products are great and compared to other high end makeup lines they are reasonable

This MAC Cosmetics section, located within Macy’s, is a hub of fun for makeup lovers. Cosmetic shopping is always enjoyable for me but sometimes the total experience can make it even more so. Foundations, primers, concealers, powders, blushes can be found that work with every skin tone and type. Lipsticks and glosses range from sheers to bold opaques. Eye shadows and liners are to be had in a great variety of color: subtle shimmer, metallic, nudes and bright, bold hues enhance and create looks from fun to elegant. MAC also sells quality accessories like brushes and sharpeners to help with application and upkeep of the products. I was greeted by three associates within my first minute of arrival at the counter. Everyone was helpful but not pushy. I was able to browse without pressure. When I made a decision and was ready to look at some items, the guy working there was very attentive and showed me several options. He also did a great job multitasking and assisting another customer. I left satisfied and will definitely return for further browsing and purchases. The area was clean and organized and had a good stock of merchandise. Even though the seasonal displays that surrounded the MAC area made it a bit cramped, I easily maneuvered around and was able to view the products and check colors. My experience here was very positive in every aspect and my purchased products are the high quality I expected. I’m extremely picky about what cosmetics I will buy and MAC has passed the test.

I totally agree with the other 2 reviewers. Here’s why: I went there knowing exactly what I wanted. A cake-faced saleslady(I wouldn’t describe her as a makeup artist) insists on applying a supposedly complementary product to my face, and since I’m pretty open-minded to getting something else to make my skin look better I get my makeup done. In the 1 minute it takes her to do my makeup she tells me my current makeup looks like«s-h-i-t» after I tell her it’s not MAC, my eye looks dry and wrinkly, and other really negative things. By the way, I think we spent more time picking off the fibers that fell off the makeup brush onto my face than actually applying the makeup. She was extremely heavy-handed and careless. I should have known better than to let her do my face makeup, seeing how she does her own, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt because I thought she was a makeup artist. It really amazes me how she could think that someone like me who wears no foundation and comes to buy tinted moisturizer would want a caked up powder foundation look, which now I’m guessing is the only look she knows how to do. Needless to say, I did not buy what she was selling. At first I thought it was a terrible product, but after writing this review I’ve come to realize it was probably just a terrible MAC lady who doesn’t know what she’s doing artistically or professionally. I don’t especially mind the crowdedness of the kiosk because I actually was greeted by 2 different people so it shows some effort in customer care. They can’t do much about brand popularity, right? But next time I buy something from MAC, I’ll try the one at Dillard’s. If that one is bad too, then I’ll have to pass on MAC all together because there are so many other great brands out there, especially at Sephora which is a 5-minute walk away.

I shop I spend money, but i dont like people who act like snobs. This Macy’s Mac Counter is just that. So I take my money and business to my regular makeup brand. Clinque, Urban Decay makeup consultants are color blind they treat everyone the same, no matter your color or class. These clowns at the MAC counter, thats okay I keep on moving!

I got my best friend a makeover with Melissa for her bday and she was great! She didn’t rush with anything and took her time. She was so friendly and very helpful. She did her entire face and helped her with recommendations on what colors looked good on her. The look came out great and what she was looking for. I was in the way most of the times because I wanted to watch her put the makeup on my friend, but she never made me feel like I was bothering her or in the way. I would def. go to her again and recommend her to anyone.

MAC Cosmetics are some of the greatest cosmetics I’ve ever tried. They’re a bit pricey, but completely worthy of that when their products don’t affect your skin in a negative way and when they have something to suit any individual, whether it’s foundations or blushes. They sell anything from skin care items to perfumes to make-up(foundations, powder, blushes, lip gloss, lipstick, eyeshadows). Their selection in each thing is quite abundant and it’s honestly hard to just leave this place buying one thing. They have something to match every skin tone and they have plenty of testers so you don’t have to worry about buying the wrong thing. Normally, you can schedule a makeover with a make-up artist and the cost of the makeover is probably for you to buy a product or products worth $ 40 or more. This particular location is a small kiosk in the Macy’s cosmetic section and is super cramped. You can’t get around and look at the various cosmetics, because either there’s someone already there or people are having their make-up done. Now, you must be wondering why I have all these great things to say about the cosmetics and its selection, yet why I’ve only given it a two star rating. When a brand has this reputation of being great, I feel that its ambassadors can range from the models all the way down to its employees. And the employees at this particular location are absolutely careless, irresponsible, and rude. It really deserves a one-star review, but the extra star is just to show that I DO love MAC make-up by itself and minus these grouchy employees.
