There’s something totally shady about this place. Their gas pumps have not been scanning cards for over 2 weeks now– and I try to avoid going there, but I recently moved to the area and it’s the only gas station I can seem to find when I’m extremely low on gas. I have to go inside and THENANDONLYTHEN, my debit card works. They claim their pumps and credit card scanners outside are working fine, yet it never takes any of my cards. When I asked the first week, the man inside said the credit card machine was down, but I could run it inside. When the same issue happened next week, the man stood by while a lady attendant said my card was declined and that was why it wouldn’t work outside. Impossible– it’s a debit card and I have money in the bank. With one attempt inside it worked. So after clarifying that the machine outside must still be broken if my debit card was approved, she shrugged her shoulders and maintained that it was working. Very frustrating experiences each time. Also, I received a letter from my bank stating my card had been compromised on one of the days I purchased gas from this location– so I now feel like my suspicions were somewhat validated. Never returning, if I can help it!

Because, it is hidden in the neighborhoods between Lexington and Williams Trace, people that don’t live near it or pass by it regularly probably don’t remember it is there. However, I always find it friendly to go there if I am on my way to the mall and/or that section of highway six. It only tends to be slightly busy during peak times.
