I just had a very nice shopping experience at the Sugar Land store! First, as I am a Soma ‘member’, I got a quick phone call yesterday informing me about a special VIP sale shopping day yesterday and today and reminding me I had a $ 10. b-day credit to spend. Since I had 2 gift cards for Soma, I was glad to shop! All in the store was at least 15% off, much of it more. I will admit figuring out some of the sale was confusing as each rounder seemed to have different deal going. However, I got helped right away by Trish, and everyone was prompt in taking things to the dressing room for me. The store was well stocked with sizes which has been an issue in the past. When I was trying on, Trish came back twice to see if I needed anything, and brought me what I asked. I came out with quite a haul and not sure how much $ it was. I didn’t want to go over my gift certificates. Trish nicely added up my stuff so I could make sure. With the coupons and discounts I still had plenty of money to buy some vanishing line panties, which are great by the way. It was buy 3, get 2 free! Trish very pleasantly helped me find my sizes in the piles since it was hard to do. I think they should pile sizes separately. Anyway, all said and spent and I still have $ 16. to spend later! They also called corp. to get the code for my $ 10. b-day savings when it didn’t show on the computer. That was a nice added touch, especially as they did it with a smile! Thanks guys!

While Shopping at the Sugar land Texas Store with my husband we had an horrible experience. I found a few items to try on, first was a summer dress. I came out of the dressing room to show my husband and we were quickly told by the store clerk that he was not to be near the large Mirror in the back as it makes other women uncomfortable. We obliged and he moved back to the chairs near the front of the dressing room. Next I tried on a a short nighty and asked my husband to come into the dressing room so he could see it and let me now what he thought. He stayed in there while i tried(I just want to mention that we were not talking loudly or being disrespectful.) on a bra, he was helping me adjust it when a knock on the door came from the clerk telling us that he is NOT allowed to be in the dressing room with me. I asked her how am I supposed to know if it looks good she told me that is what she is here for. We were told that he was not allowed to be in my dressing room as it might make other patrons uncomfortable(there were no other patrons trying on clothes during this time). My husband left the room, I gathered my things and quickly left. We were embarrassed and completely put off. So here are some of my question If I wanted to show my husband the bra or nighty the only way is to come out into the main dressing area to show him? If this is a true policy then I think this needs to be posted some where«Not more than one person in the dressing room at a time», which would be ridiculous. Then if that is the case no girl friends can come in etc. Please tell me this is not a true policy and my experience was unique.

Interesting experience at this place, that’s all I can call it without being colorful in my review(if you catch my meaning). And I can be quite the«colorful» person. Sit back. I have a bit to say. I was in need of some more basic bras being as my current ones were needing serious replacement. I like Soma. I’ve always been pleased with any orders from their site and the experience/purchases from the Highland Village location. Here, the story is different. When I walked in, no one seemed to notice me until a lady rushed by and said, «Hi,» in a hurried way without even looking at me. I’m not so sure she was greeting me, but I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt. That’s fine, really, since I like to take a look around without being shadowed. I found two bras that were just what I needed. I found a third I liked but not in my size. This is when I looked around for help and found none. Well, I’m a capable person. Sure, I can search through the drawers under the display and find my size. It would be nice if they were better organized, though. Yay! I found what I was looking for. Now it was try on time. I wasn’t sure whether I was supposed to just go in the dressing room or ask for someone. All stores differ. Since no one took notice of me in the dressing area, I went on in by myself. No one asked me if I needed assistance and this was the point where I would have appreciated it. Two bras fit perfectly and one was seemingly off-sized. I peek out of the room and yes, old granny across the way is being helped, lady with hyper kid is being helped. Me? Not being helped. I did try to get someone’s attention politely vocally and gesturingly. Wasted effort. Sigh, I’ll help myself. Again. Search, search, search. Frustration. Look for some assistance again and someone does ask if I need help but they disappear somewhere. To make a long review short, I did find what I was looking for in the third bra. The sizing does indeed run differently with some styles. I found three bras that are cute, comfy and do their job. Despite this great find, I was very tempted to walk out. I didn’t because I didn’t want to drive to Highland Village and I did need these bras. Next time I probably won’t hesitate to make the drive to Highland Village. I truly resisted the urge to get upset and go into mad mode. I’m not going to feed into the Italian stereotype. I did find what I needed and there are other Soma stores around. Would I give them another chance? Possibly, but if this happens again I will likely show that I’m upset. In the meantime, 4 stars for my find, 1 star for customer service. That’s 3 stars when averaged out and I’m being generous because I really do like the bras.
