Latin Bistro

I admit I stayed away from this place for a while because I was sad to see Hilltop Burgers go away, but I finally gave in and visited. It was worth it.
Been here a couple of times now for carry out, and all the dishes I have gotten have all been great. The serving sizes are huge. Most recently. I ordered a lunch special, and I expected to get pork with tuna rice, as I ordered it, but that was before the side. Chose the plantains. Found out I got soup as well, and ordered the beef soup. Everything was good. The pork was fatty in just the right way, and the plantains were delicious. Had the soup the next day, and it was still tasty. The rice was the least successful part, but still good, and never ending. I had three meals from that alone.
My only caveat is the «arroz con…» dishes. The staff refers to them as «fried rice» in English, and they are definitely closer to an Asian-​style fried rice, with the meat mixed in, than an arroz con pollo/​camarones/​etc. with the meat on top. They are still good, but my girlfriend was disappointed when I brought her arroz con pollo home and it didn’t have full chicken pieces on top.
Gonna try their fried chicken next.

Pork was nice and crispy. I love the concept of this place and the location. Easy metered parking in front. Menu is a little busy and hard to read… photos of the meals are fine but bright colors make it hard to read… could be personalized with the face /​story of the owner.
