Called beforehand and got the whole«come in to get the full experience». My boyfriend and I went in to try it out, it’s by my house and my mother works right across the street who has tried the pizza and recommended it to me. Let me start by saying I love pieology and pizza rev, I can pick all the toppings I want, all for a similar price as this location. I wanted to margarita pizza with the beef pepperoni. The hostess stated they stick to their menu, meaning they will not change the theme of the pizza, you cannot add on any topping they carry. So she tried to tell me to look at the other options, but the thing is, I had already went through the menu and didn’t like any other options. I opted for the exit because there’s nothing on the menu that got my attention. I’m on my way to pieology now, my boyfriend knows I deserve to have the delicious pizza I want.

I’ve got to say. Hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had! We will definitely be coming back soon. I thought with all the great reviews the place would be crowded on a Friday night, to my surprise it wasn’t. They made excellent suggestions(first timers) on what to try first and staff was so friendly. #Napolitana #Margherita #FungiLama #AwardWinning #WoodFiredPizza #786Degrees

We got the Bombay and it was so good. Our only regret between the two of us is that we didn’t order a second one. Went back about a week later to get a second fix. The taste is so flavorful and unique, plus the service is awesome.

Only two stars? I know, I’m crazy. I have never been disappointed with a pizza until today. The reviews are INCREDIBLE for this place, so I was really excited to check it out and brought a few friends with me. We ordered THREE Slumdogs and ONE New Yorker. Nine years, a death in the family, and three seasons of 2004 Telemundo later, we received TWO Slumdogs and ONE Mediteranean. Ok… so… if you’re decent at Pizza Math, we are a pizza short, and now paying for a more expensive pizza than we wanted. Side Note: I’m Italian… I «GET» the authentic, wood fired, Neapolitan style pizza. But when a customer orders four pizzas, and you prep only one at a time, prep the wrong one, and then forget one all together… the whole, waiting-18-minutes-for-each-pie thing gets less and less tolerable. I’m actually almost certain the spider in the door frame managed to spin its entire web in the time it took this gentleman to place 3.2 pieces of basil on the margarita pizza… which we did not order. I will try this place again in the future, but… I don’t think my friends will. Specialty pizza or not, I can’t get past the lack of operational execution and low sense of urgency. PLEASE, someone tell me I just had a bad experience at a great business.

Really great gourmet pizza in the Valley. This place is legit. The owner went to Italy to study the art of making pizza. It shows. He was also very nice and welcoming. Offering us a free Mexican Coke. Way better than 800 degrees. It’s cool that you get to make your own pizza over there, but it never tastes the way you want it to. This pizza actually holds all the ingredients on it. The ingredients are very fresh. Probably the best pizza I’ve ever had. We got the mushroom pizza and the el chapo(love the clever name). El chapo was my favorite of the two. Nice incorporation of Mexican flavor. Nice lil spice.

We were all really looking forward to picking up a couple pizzas for our family dinner. As first time customers, we were very excited. In a time crunch, we tried calling in our order. The owner insisted that we come in and place our order in person. «The pizzas cook in 90 seconds, it’s all about the experience.» A little confused as to why he would not work something out with us, we drove to the location to place our order, as he wished. Once we arrived we were greeted and then immediately pushed to the curb. Apparently a party called in and ordered 20 pizzas. We were only ordering 3 so I guess we weren’t as important of a customer. And apparently they pick and choose who can call in and order their pizza ahead of time. I understood he was busy and tried to reason with him. He then pointed to his trophy and explained that they had a news station coming sometime later in the week and wanted us to promise to come back tomorrow. Feeling disgruntled, frustrated, and starving we walked out the door. All in all, we were just disappointed. We planned our whole night around a simple dinner from 786 Degrees. With a hungry family waiting at home, and an owner that chooses big business over the common man, we will not be returning.

Had a great experience! Owner greeted us, gave us a free drink, educated us on true Italian pizza history and explained how passionate he is to give the best, we asked how much? He said just make yourself comfortable, if you aren’t satisfied you don’t pay! Holy crap! That has happened to me like… Ummm… NEVER! Being a local plumber I know where all the great grub spots are. So believe me this place is worth a try! The food was great and I normally don’t like pizza for lunch because it’s so heavy but this pizza, I could eat and not feel like taking a nap! Lol Thanks Ali for the great experience!!! I’ll see ya tomorrow!

Honestly the best pizza I’ve had. We heard about this place and decided to check it out for dinner and I am glad we did. The owner was so welcoming and took the time to tell us about the pizzas. I would definitely recommend the Istanbul pizza its delicious and refreshing. I don’t have anything bad to say about this place! It’s definitely a hole in the wall but a great find! The pizza is made in an authentic clay oven and you can tell the ingredients are fresh, you can literally taste the freshness. We are definitely going back and you should try it too! You won’t go home unsatisfied!

Literally had to write a review after eating. I thought people reviews were hyping this up, but everything was spot on. There’s a reason why this place won rewards for some of their pizzas. Perfect score across the board! 5 stars for creativity 5 stars for customer service 5 stars for FLAVOR! A diamond in in the rough in Sun Valley. I suggest checking this place out if you want some top quality, great flavored pizzas.

What a find! First off in my opinion a place w/good food can only be as good as the service. It’s seldom that you get both and when you do consider yourself lucky. This is one such place. The pizzas that come out of the wood fired oven taste really rustic almost like taking a trip back to Naples. The pizzas both traditional and signature ones have very interesting flavor combo. My vote is for the Tikka Masala and the Napolitana. Great job Pizzaiolo Ali! And welcome to the neighborhood.

As I was searching for restaurants on Unilocal,I came across this one with over 100 reviews and 5 stars! What I couldn’t belive it! I had to try it! My family and I went to this little restaurant and we all fell in love with the pizzas! We ordered 5 pizzas! Shrimp Tuscany was my favorite! Which is one of their award winners! They compete all over the country. We even decided to have a pizza night once a week, just so we can eat here.

Walking out the gym and I’m craving some pizza like a fat kid. I called-in around 8:48pm and asked if they were still taking orders. Even though they closed at 9 the gentlemen on the phone said he’d still be willing to make my pizza if I thought I could make it there in 15min. I ordered an Istanbul and a chicken tikka marsala pizza, ran out the gym, and drove over in a hurry. Walked into the small restaurant and found an extremely pleasant man working behind be counter. Very polite and soft spoken he introduced himself as Ali and told me a little about the place and the special authentic wood oven he had imported from Italy. Even though it was the end of the night and I was literally the LAST customer before they locked up, Ali spoke with such enthusiasm and passion that I found myself extra excited to try this man’s work. I got home and was totally blown away. These are totally not the flavors I’m used to tasting when biting into a slice of pizza! IT’S SODELICIOUS!!! The Istanbul pizza is leaves your pallet feeling light and fresh. Crispy and delicious. Possibly the best pizza I’ve ever had! I LOVETHISPIE! The chicken tikka marsala was also super delicious. These pizzas are on the smaller side but my gf and I were pretty stuffed with two. I can’t recommend this place enough! What an awesome find… will definitely be back! Thanks Ali!

My boyfriend loves this place, Ali the owner is super passionate about his pizza… An Indian Iraqi man making authentic Italian WOOD fired pizza haha… Well, damn, I don’t know what to say either. He’s super sweet and makes the pizza that much more special by showing us all his awards(he competes internationally), explaining the science, and telling us how real pizza came to be and how it’s been altered and butchered by different cultures. Exhibit A-The tomato sauce is the best! I had to persuade him to give it to me on the side, he argued that it was pizza sacrilege… i won by telling him that it would be our secret(don’t mention this). Shrimp Tuscany was my fave

BEST! AUTHENTICWOODFIREDPIZZA! Halal Certified. We were welcomed with a big smile from Chef Ali and an extensive description of their World Famous Wood Fire Brick Oven which there are only 6 in the U.S. and this is one of them. Arturo and Martin, two gentlemen that work there as well always friendly and passionate about their job. They have a secret menu… My only recommendation is to expand as the place is very small for dine in. We ordered 3 pizzas: «El Chapo» Mexican beef chorizo, grilled onions, cilantro, San Marzano tomatoes, Monterrey jack cheese, olive oil and Himalayan salt. «The Slumdog» Hand crushed San Marzano tomatoes, beef mini– pepperoni, mozzarella and olive oil. The Bomb was the«Bombay Tikka Masala» Award Winning Pizza. Hand crushed San Marzano tomatoes, Signature saffron Tikka Masala sauce, tandoor baked chicken kabab, mango chutney, Burrata paneer, roasted sweet peppers, fresh cilantro, olive oil, Himalayan salt with splash of Kaffir lime.

I am so glad I scrolled down the pizza search page and discovered this place with 5 stars. So the five stars for this place are definitely for the pizza! I would also give it five stars on charm and passion of the owners and staff. And if Quirky is a category, then it also gets five stars. Now for the pizza! I’m salivating even as I write this review. The people that came in after us it was their third day in a row. We ordered two of their award-winning pizzas. The tiki masala Bombay and there white sauce mushroom pizza. And OMG it was a mouthwash! This is what pizza is supposed to be. My wife and I have been to a pizza place in the Hollywood area not too long ago that was very expensive and was supposed to have this kind of pizza. Unfortunately because it was so overpriced we didn’t enjoy it that much. This place has really good quality pizza and a competitive price. So if your hungry for pizza(and I mean hungry for pizza because that’s all they serve here) check this place out. There’s not a lot of seating in the city may have is quite funky an eclectic. But you’ll be so enamored with the taste you may not even notice. Look past the area and get ready for a dining experience!!!

What makes this place more special than the food? Is that the owner cooks from the heart! What a true gem located in Sun valley. I told the owner that I can’t wait until he opens his next restaurant hopefully somewhere close to Hollywood. He has an incredible story to tell about his travels and his determination to create pizza just as good as in Italy, in where learned. He is all about customer service as well! I came across this place because I needed to make a delivery and automatically was greeted warmly from this establishment and it made want to come back and see what the hype was all about on his award winning pizzas! Did I mention he is part of the USA pizza making team!!! Doesn’t that say something?! Keep up the awesome work!

Such a hidden gem in our valley, seriously! I love Ali’s personality. He’s the one that greets you when you arrive. The shop is small and humble, but Ali’s pizza is so bold and amazing in taste. It speaks for itself! When you enter you get a history lesson in pizza by Ali himself. You’ll learn all about his wood-fired pizza oven and his passion for pizza. Talk about history and hospitality. He offered us free refreshments while we waited. The wait wasn’t even that long — like 5 or so mins for freshly made pizza. Onto the pizza — oh boy oh boy!!! So yummy. There’s a crispness to the crust, the leopard prints present from the wood oven. It’s thin crust so you def taste the toppings really well!(: We tried the Bombay Tikka Masala pizza — so gooood — very different, but def recommend. The chicken was nicely seasoned. Very nice sauce. It was a little of everything for your tastebuds. For vegetarians the Fungi Lama was refreshing — fresh arugula, truffle oil, cheese and Himalayan salt. The pizzas also play up your visual sense too! Would recommend? Yes!!! Pizza is a little pricey at 12+ per pie but you’re supporting Ali and his craft and eating gourmet pizza. It’s also Halal!
