Worst pollo loco ever went once they didn’t have chicken breast gave it another try they didn’t even have chicken really! It’s pollo loco. If you want chicken don’t go here because they might not be any

Saturday January 23^rd a very sick employee where working night shift coughing over the food served to everyone. BE CAREFUL THERE!!!

This place is a regular spot for my team and I. I went in to get a salad and asked for no tomatoes. I come to find they put pico on it. And as I was getting my food, Lorena caught it and didn’t let me leave until a new salad was made. That to me corrected the mistake and I can easily overlook the mistake to know it will be taken care of before I leave. Things happen. Solutions are the answer. Go eat at this location. Super close to the freeway also.

We bought dinner for two to go. The two-​piece chicken we got was so hard to bite. Looks like burnt. The skin of the chickens were black and hard. In short, we were so disappointed.

I have to say, for a US corporate chain El Pollo Loco actually lives up to the quality they stand behind, plus how can you not sing the catchy commercial tune as you wait to order…
Lucky for me, since my hubs was hungry and wanted El Pollo Loco, it was my opportunity to try EPL. I don’t recall ever eating this or it just must have been a long time since I have, but I was really excited.
We opted for the drive the thru which was a horrible idea because since they’re drive they machine was out of order, what should have took 15 minutes, turned out to take over 30 minutes. But anyway, this EPL is nice because it’s conveniently located right off of the 5 Freeway. The driveway into the restaurant is a bit sketch because of the blind turn and crazy drivers, but at night the parking lot is well lit so no worries there.
When we finally started eating I was truly impressed with the presentations everything seemed nice and fresh. The chicken is what I was looking forward to because they always looked amazing in their commercials. Fire-​grilled, pretty darn good flavor, I must say… and I didn’t even need to put Tabasco although I did end up clobbering my chicken with it later… The chicken classic salad was perfect to share between 2 people. The hubs ordered the chicken/​avocado burrito and that was, meh. Definitely go go the chicken family meals because you get your pennies worth, plus if there it’s too much you can’t go wrong with leftovers.
Definitely will consider EPL for our next party or gathering with friends…

Eh not too happy with this place, food is alright nothing special and the service isn’t the best, they also told me I have to either get a small drink or large they don’t have medium. Business move I guess

Standard El Pollo Loco. I never have any issues here. My drive through order is always correct too.

The parking space is too small, this business shouldn’t allow this type of parking practices, a whole trailer taking so many spaces, is insane and irresponsible. They should be towed! Pollo Loco do something about it! These people must park on the streets!

I love EPL, however this location, not so much. It is close to my home, and I find that more than half the time they messed up the order. Overall the food at El Pollo is great, but now I will drive all the way into Burbank to go to a different location.

Went thru the drive thru and they were so rude… Fuck this place… Never coming back…

Had catering done for the company. The Manager, Edgar and the driver, Hector was absolutely FANTASTIC!!! The customer service was excellent for the amount they had to pull in a short amount of time and on top of that, we had to add more! So they had to swing the two extra orders within the hour from the time they opened! The driver was fast, super courteous and extremely helpful with the set-​up!!! Hector made sure that everything was good to go before he left!!! Thank you to Edgar and Hector and I hope they will be around for our next luncheon!!! Thanks for the great service!

I dont know who approve this drive thru setup but it’s by far the worst drive thru entrance I’ve ever seen.

The employees here are always so helpful. They still let me order the Shrimp Avocado Salad wen though it’s technically not on the menus anymore :]

Picked up chicken bowl and the rice was hard as a rock, so disgusting I couldn’t believe they are serving the rice like this.
Pollo loco isn’t that cheap either so I expect to get my money’s worth but this is so disappointing.
Do you guys have quality control?

Nothing special or great about the food. Just something different once in a while. Mac n cheese and mashed potatoes and gravy are my favorite things hehe. But the drive thru is the worse. I’ve gone thru drive thru a few times and they always mess up with my order. Forget simple aide like my ranch for salad or gravy fro my mashed potatoes. Make sure you check your items before leaving drive thru. Also my last experience the workers English wasn’t that great so I had a hard time communicating with them

We came into El Pollo Loco because my girl had a coupon and she really likes El Pollo Loco. We came with a coupon for a signature chicken salad. Diana who was knew asked the cashier next to her for advice. Marcela said the coupon was only for the chicken salad. All the signature salads are chicken salads and we pointed that out but she didn’t even bother to ask for clarification. Diana who just recently started asked the manager to get an answer. I work in the restaurant industry and have for 23 years. I would never like our front of the house staff to guess on an answer that they didn’t know. Part of customer service is serving the customer and asking the manager was the easiest fix. I hope that Diana rubs off on Marcela and not the other way around, thank you Diana.

Food is just ok but everytime I come to this location, they always ALWAYS mess up my order. It could be something small like forgetting my dressing to forgetting forks to forgetting an actual order of salad. You must check your food whole leaving the drive thru or when picking up

Food was just ok. Restroom was disgusting and the place didn’t seem clean. Food takes forever to come out so I don’t know how they call then self fast food specially because the place was empty

Could be cleaner, could be dirtier.

Discontinued the Cobb salad, unfortunately.
Ingredients are not as fresh as they could be.
But it’s better than many options in Sun Valley.
The easiest way this place could improve is to stop playing music. It’s loud and annoying.

Need to start by saying this place is a combination El Pollo Loco AND Foster’s Freeze that serves ONLY ice cream (no other Foster’s Freeze stuff). That being said, this review is for the Foster’s Freeze portion only. I’ve gotten the El Pollo loco stuff a few times in the past, and that was, well. El Pollo Loco (big ups to the sweet corn cake, which is NOMMY!).
That being said, the chocolate dipped vanilla cones here are AH-​MAZING. I kid you not. The biggest size is like the size of my head. It’s so good, I can just eat one for every meal (not that I do, although I have an awful sweet tooth). The Foster’s Freeze ice cream in Glendale (Glenoaks) tastes like crap. This one tastes like heaven. TRY IT IF YOU’RE IN THE AREA (or even if you’re not)! :)
