This is the spot for great pan dulce in Sun Valley! They have a great selection of all my favorites. You can walk into the back kitchen area and chose your own conchas and empanadas. Parking in the morning is tough but can usually find a spot around the corner. Authentic Pan Dulce!

First time here! My bro has bought pan dulce and i always finish his bread. Nothing fancy here. Dont expect krispy kreme style facility. More like sparsely furnished hole in the wall. But it is clean n cashier friendly n very courteous. U get your own tray n tongs and go to town lusciously eyeing all the delectable delights! Sooo many unique and familiar varieties of bread on large trays. Which to choose? The cashier said they open at 3:00 am during the week. Yes. AM! Always very fresh n soft. You must go and buy a bag to share with coworkers! So glad my bro found this panaderia!

Super small pop and pop place. Family goes here on torta night at the house, we buy almost 8 rolls for around 1.00 $ — very nice staff, always fresh bread, and it smells terrific! My son loves to come in and get a cookie, which are also fresh made.

Vallarta hardly ever has nino envueltos, so i stopped in at this bakery across the street last night. Place was really busy because customers were picking up holiday roscas. There was a great selection and everything we tried was fresh fresh fresh! We had a cream filled, nino envuelto, and a tri color. All great and cheap! Great find, i will be back!

So I had the craving for some Mexican pastries and decided to give this place a try. You come in, grab a tray and tongs Android go for it. I got 6 pieces for a total of $ 3, can’t complain about that. The selection was not that great at the time I was there but I’ll try it again.

5 star bread! As a resident of Simi Valley, I can honestly say that I know bad bread. And this is NOT bad bread. The bread is soft and delicioso! I’m partial to the shell bread(conchas) but you can’t go wrong with anything there. There staff is kind and friendly even though the location may not be. The key to pan dulce is longevity. If the bread get tough after the first bite, you sir, have some bad bread on your hands. But if from the first bite on Tuesday to the last bite on Sunday your bread is still soft, well my friend, you have pan dulce at its best.

La Colmena, this is where the honey is at! (It means beehive in spanish.) My little local panaderia and I’m happy it’s right down the street. Probably hit this place up at least 2 times a week for fresh, warm pan dulce and bolillos. You can get 3 bolillos for a dollar. Take those home, toast a bolillo for a bit and make yourself a bomb as torta sandwich. With beans and egg or de jamon & fresh avocado with jalapenos. The hell with it, just eat the bolillo by itself. Bolillo in one hand & a canned shasta in the other. They are that good. As a kid, my mom would always buy a big bag of pan dulce in the mornings. An assortment of sweet bread but only ONE puerquito(gingerbread type, shaped like a little pig) would be in the bag. We would all fight over it: «I want the pig!» «Mom! Tell Violy not to bite it cause it’s for me… NO!!!» «I told you, she bought it for me cause I’m her favorite» «MOM! she’s not your favorite, right… Right!?!» Now that I look back, I wonder why my mom wouldn’t just buy 2 or 3 puerquitos to avoid the bickering… I love my mom! This place makes the best Mexican bread. They open in the wee hours of the morning & even when it’s pouring outside, they’ll get the sandbags to block out any rain that might seep in from the flooding of the streets. There’s only street parking and service is always friendly. Your Homegirl, Violy

I was in the mood for mexican sweet bread last night, so I jumped in my automobile and headed straight to this place. I walked in grabbed a tray and some tongs and proceeded to sort through the freshest, finest, most fantastic pastries this side of East L.A. So as i’m grabbing shit I notice this blonde lady about 20 feet away with huge tits cleaning up the baking area, being my suave self I yell out, «Buenas noches» to her and smile, she responds in the manliest voice«Hi» “Homegirl” was a fucking dude! She sounded like a mexican James Earl Jones! Hey but at least he/she was nice. Back to the bread. That shit was good! The empanadas were great, the jalapeño bread looked good so I grabbed two, and the conchas were fantastic. Next time you’re in the mood for sweet bread head to this joint fresh bread, hot coffee, Trannies and all!
