Highly recommended! Amazing food. Great service. Bring your own wine! What more could you ask for. We got 2 appetizers, and 2 decently sized entrees, and bill was under 50.

Intimate, sexy, dim lit, low key French restaurant. This place is a gem. Great for a romantic date or a small group. And its BYOB. So walk in with your favorite bottle of wine or 2(let’s be realistic here). No corkage fee. Duck breast, escargot, mussels, etc, all great. And if they have the strawberry tart special, be sure to indulge.

Not a gourmet experience, but for an inexpensive evening out, Bliss 46 is fine. – BYOB, No corkage fee. A rarity these days. – Three course prix fixe menu @ $ 20 – Intimate setting, pleasant server, unhurried meal – Conveniently located by the #7 train The three of us started with field greens. It was a large serving. We should have split one or two orders and tried another appetizer, like the ravioli.(There are limited choices on the prix fixe.) The women next to us were oooohing and ahing over their meals. «I’ll have what she’s having,» I said(with tones of «When Harry Met Sally.») So I ended up with coq au vin. Good. Not fabulous. For dessert you can get profiteroles or a scoop of ice cream. The profiterole sounds impressive but the pastry is hard and really, you just end up with ice cream no matter how you look at it. Would I come back? Perhaps. I see that neighborhood people patronize the bistro, and in a sea of over-priced eateries, Bliss 46 fills a need. I hope they stay in business.

Brunch here today while in the area. In honor of National Eggs Benedict Day, of course that’s what I ordered, or there version of it. First if they have Eggs Benedict on there menu I would think they would know what today is. They didn’t. Very disappointing. Well it wasn’t true Eggs Benny anyway. Looked like regular sliced ham on an English muffin with a poached egg and what I guess is there version of Hallendais sauce. Oh yes and with French fries. Back to the restaurant for a moment. It’s on a side street, off Queens Blvd so not readily visible but the interior was very nice and the waiter was nice. I got the impression it is family run. Not very busy, only one other couple when we were there so 30 minutes for our food was a little long wait time. Three stars is the best I can give but you may think differently. May try it again.

This is our favorite French restaurant in Queens! We must have been here a dozen times and tried almost everything on the menu. Everything is just so good, but my all time favorite is the Poulet Roti. We’ve brought family and friends here too and everyone has loved it. On top of all this, it’s BYOB! Highly recommend this place!

BYOB& no corking fee! This small little bistro was a pleasure to dine in. We had made a reservation for 4 but only two of us showed up on time. We waited outside since we didn’t want to crowd the doorway inside but then the waiter invited us to sit down early since he didn’t want us waiting out in the cold. Since it was our first time here we asked for his recommendations. Monday thru Thursday they have a prefix menu for $ 20 and it comes with an appetizer, main course(I had the steak and it was cooked perfectly) and ice cream dessert. It’s a perfect place to catch up with friends since the noise level is conversational. This place would also be a cute date spot! They serve brunch here on the weekend; and BYOB, you cant beat that! Being here brought back so many memories for me since I grew up in the area long ago. I’m glad to see that part of my dad’s old photo store has turned into such a warm and cute restaurant.

What happened to this place?! They used to be so good serving amazing dishes so I’d been to this place once 2 weeks at least while I lived in Sunnyside… But NOMORE. I was so excited to go back there yesterday, but it came out as a huge disappointment. Quality of food tremendously dropped, and service was not good at all. A waitress didn’t mention to my fiancé that the plate was hot, so his hand got burned. Not sure if I’m going back.

Checked the place out for Sunnyside restaurant week. The ambience is homey. The service is surly. The food is subpar. The potato and leek soup I ordered came out with a congealed layer of film on top. While I was still spooning the soup into my mouth, the waiter came and took my soup away. I had ordered a steak and asked for it to be medium rare, which he brought out with it being well well done. When I inquired why the steak was way over cooked, he said the cook cooked it early at the same time as the appetizer and if I wanted it bloodier I should have eaten the appetizer faster. Huh?!

We decided to give this place a try after reading the reviews. We immediately fell in love with the small and intimate atmosphere. We ordered the Coq au Vin and the Mushroom Ravioli. The Coq au Vin came in a generous portion of two pieces of chicken. The sauce was thick and the flavor was bold. It went well with the mash potatoes. Mushroom ravioli was delicious and would totally have this as a main course. We ordered profiteroles that came with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. Totally yummy. The only two suggestions are: make the bread warmer so the butter could melt and freeze the ice cream at colder temperature so that it doesn’t easily melt. But overall we were very pleased with the food and service. Not to mention it’s close to the subway station.

Great BYOB place! Food is pretty traditional French with a few other items. Starters: We had the Mussels and the Escargot. The mussels were in a great broth and perfectly cooked. Dip a little bread in the broth, yum! The escargot were good, but sitting in butter and not a ton of other flavors as I have had elsewhere. They were definitely good and rich though. For entrees: I had the day’s special, which was sauteed Branzino in a white wine and capers sauce. It came with mashed potatoes and spinach. The fish was cooked PERFECTLY with a charred skin that tasted amazing. The sides were great as well. My only problem was the price, which was $ 27. Steeper than what I was expecting, but if they have it on the menu and you don’t mind spending that much, it was definitely worth it and was a HUGE portion. My wife had the Shrimp over pasta. The sauce was pretty decent and the pasta was cooked well. Not the most amazing dish, but still good and had a TON of shrimp. For dessert, we were pretty stuffed, but went for the crème brulle anyway. I’m not a big custard fan, but it was pretty good. Nice crunch on the top and the custard was creamy. Will definitely go back!

What an amazing find, in Sunnyside. Amazing French bistro in the heart of Queens, a block away from the 7 train and BYOB! Had no problem making a reservation earlier in the day for a party of 6. Everything ordered, from the table bread to dessert was amazing. Appetizers ordered include the French Onion soup, Mushroom Ravioli, and Mussels which was mopped up with crusty French bread. Dinner included the Sole w/Saffron Risotto, the Filet Mignon & Shrimp special, the Lobster Ravioli, and the Roast Chicken w/mushrooms. Dessert included the Bread Pudding and Crème Brûlée. Everything was cooked perfectly and amazing. Will definitely be back, hopefully with another party of 6 — have to support our local businesses. No need to go to Manhattan for classic French food!

Since moving to the area earlier this year I have to say that this is my favorite spot to go to for a nice Sunday night dinner. Everything about Bistro 46 is warm and inviting. The staff is friendly and helpful and most importantly the food is delicious. Bistro 46 offers a French/Parisian ambience. Their mussel appetizer is a must have. I can also recommend trying their steak, lamb and fish dishes as well. After talking with the waiters I learned that this place is completely family operated and this made me want to come more often. I’ve worked in the restaurant business in the past so I know how hard it is to meet demands and make customers happy. In fact, on my second visit here I remember a very disgruntled customer being unnecessarily rude to the waiters. She made them return two dishes that weren’t to her liking and I watched as the waiters did this without breaking face or service standards. I was impressed by their professionalism and it only reiterated why I’d liked this place so much to begin with. The fact that Bistro 46 is BYOB is a huge plus and makes for a great reason for picking out not so cheap wines to pair with your food. Bistro 46 is my favorite restaurant in the Sunnyside area, I wish them and their family the best.

I’ve officially decided that Bliss Bistro is my favorite restaurant in Sunnyside. It’s BYOB, friendly servers, and the food is really delicious(especially the mussels appetizer. very large dish for $ 7 and the sauce is great for dipping bread). It’s nice without being stuffy, I have never felt under-dressed. Tip: Portions are rather large so I recommend splitting one(or two) appetizers, one entrée, and one dessert between 2 people so you get to try everything without feeling disgustingly full. Don’t forget to bring your own bottle(wine or beer)! There’s no corkage fee.

We had a wonderful dinner in this cozy place. Started with escargot which was done nicely. My partner loved his fillet of sole over risotto. I enjoyed my rack of lamb. Deserts are obviously made on premise. Couldn’t help looking at all the different deserts being served at the other tables. They all looked so good that I wanted one of each! Anyway we both ordered the apple tart a la mode… very good! I think the food rates a solid four… but adding in warm service, relaxing atmosphere, and reasonable prices it is a five in my book. I am definitely returning. .

This family resturant is spacious, very homey, great for groups or romantic dinner for 2. Its not pretentious or hip and fits in beautifully with the demographic of Sunnyside. A family owned, family operated restaurant that doesnt feel like all the other sterile, posh wine and cheese places popping up around here. Most importantly, the food is excellent, the place is clean. The portion and pricing are generous.

Great place for dinner(though the lunch offerings are limited). We ordered the mussels, the red snapper and the skirt steak. The food was delicious and the portions were ample. It was busy when we went(Friday night) so the food did take a while to come out. As long as you bring wine and good company, it’s worth the wait.

A very good, but not great, neighborhood mainstay that confirms 4-star status for its phenomenal prices and warm service. The minute you walk in, you feel immediately at ease due to the lovely jazz music and friendly waiters.(It’s also BYOB, which is always a plus!) I ordered the $ 20 prix fixe — appetizer, entrée, and dessert — while my mom ordered the mussels and cod. The mussels were DELICIOUS, juicy and well-seasoned. My mushroom ravioli appetizer was also tasty, particularly the mushroom sauce, but a little small, even for a prix fixe. Considering the price, the hanger steak d’onglet was out of park, both in quantity and in quality(charred outside with a perfectly cooked, medium rare middle). The roasted vegetables and frites on the side were very good, but not remarkable. My mom’s cod was similarly well cooked, and over a bed of fluffy mashed potatoes. To punctuate the meal were the profiteroles with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. Sweet, but not overbearing. In retrospect, all the dishes were very good, while the mussels and the steak were worth writing home about. I’ll certainly be a regular, especially for its attentive service and(very) reasonable prices.

Can’t beat their prix fixe menu! Only available Monday to Thursday. Must try their coq au vin and their profiteroles. Service was good and attentive. Décor is simple. Only problem was our entrée was not warm enough by the time we got it.

Slow service, but I’ve read the reviews about it so I was fine with waiting since I was not in a hurry when I arrived for dinner. The bread arrived, a treat if it wasn’t for burned parts. My potatoe soup was lukewarm, prefer it warmer but it was still tasty. A good taste of potatoes and I think it’s cream. Thickness of the soup was balanced. Probably needing of salt if one is used to the salty food but for me this was perfect. When the entre was served, I found the steak I’ve ordered medium rare was dryer then Sahara in Africa. I send it back. The new steak came out from kitchen and it was raw with blood sipping out from it. I didn’t touch it and asked for the bill and paid without even getting to the dessert that was in the fixed menu(they charge for the whole menu) since I lost my appetite. Maybe I choosed the wrong dish to begin with, big mistake to choose steak.
