CASHONLY! Finally got the chance to try El Taco de Oro after driving by it for years! Got the super burrito(w/o beans) and it was fulfilling! $ 8. It was a little too much rice and not really balancing with the chicken and the other stuff. The chicken itself has great seasoning and overall, it was pretty good. We didn’t know it was cash only so he located us to the ATM inside Safeway. When we came back, he already had our food ready! Yay! Next up, their tacos and quesadilla!

Best tacos I’ve since I moved to the Bay Area. Had problems finding them but found them between wolf and Remington on el camino. These guys and a truck with the same name opposite Lawrence station apartment seem to be the best. Try the super tacos with al pastor

My husband and I were hungry while driving down El Camino, so we spontaneously decided to try this taco truck that we pass all the time! I’m so glad we finally did. For $ 1.85(tax included) per taco, this was a solid choice. We split 5 pastor tacos. They have the nicest presentation I’ve ever seen for food served on a paper plate. The meat was very flavorful, and the onion and cilantro were fresh and crisp. I would definitely recommend checking this place out for a fast bite.

Tacos are the best I’ve had since moving to the bay area. Bring cash because it’s the only form of payment they take.

Always love this taco truck. I’ve tried the Asada(beef), Pastor(BBQ Pork) and Pollo Asado(chicken). They are all delicious but the Pastor is the clear winner. Best Pastor I’ve had in the south bay. The Super burritos are massive California size and delicious. I suggest asking for it with crispy tortilla to make it even better. The super tacos are reasonably priced and more moderately sized when you don’t want to stuff yourself with a giant burrito. Of course they are also delicious! As of the day of this review I have been told their hours are every day from 10am to 9pm. I wish they were open later on weekdays! I can’t blame them for that though. Open every day is already great for a food truck.

I love food trucks and I love tacos… I mean who doesn’t love tacos. This was my first experience with a food truck since moving back to California and perhaps my expectations were to high. The taco’s had all the promise of being great; but the flavor wasn’t there. It was similar to a taco I might find at a East Coast American restaurant and not what I would even link to Mexican. Was it good. yeah. And CHEAP(under 2 bucks a taco); but I would pay more for more flavor. The burrito… got the chicken super burrito. Still cheap(around 5 bucks I think); but all I tasted was rice and beans and little chicken. Sadly, I would prefer a chipotle burrito over this one. Perhaps I ordered wrong or should of asked for less rice and beans… but even the cheese was just piled in there and not even fully melted. I do not know if El Taco de Oro has a restaurant; but I would be willing to visit it and give perhaps a better review; but their food truck out in front of Safeway didn’t leave me with a good impression. I’ll be heading to the Mission District tomorrow to get my burrito urges filled.

Really good tacos, everyone always likes the crappy La Vics food but don’t appreciate a good street vendor taco. For the price and taste of the taco, I give it 5 stars. I was reluctant to eat here for a while because it’s a taco truck, next to a chevron station. how good could they be? well they were really good, the salsa is delicious and the super taco had crema and jalapeños w/sliced carrots. definitely worth trying, if you want some real tacos and not a watered down version of tacos.

First time to this truck as I am new in the area. Got the«Super Tacos». They were in fact SUPER. Really good and not that expensive. I should have ordered more. I’ll be back for sure.

I have been eating tacos from Taco De Oro since elementary school. Taco De Oro is delicious. The taste is consistent all the time. One of my favorite go to taco places. I always get asada and carnitas tacos with everything. Yummy! And best thing, it’s so affordable!

I was jonesing for some tacos while driving down ECR and decided to give Taco do Oro a go. I’ve driven by them for months now and I guess today was the day. Tacos are $ 1.50 a piece so I ordered two asada and two al pastor tacos to go. They only accept cash so you can run to Safeway — or plan ahead if you want to stop. As far as the tacos go, they were just ok. I actually couldn’t tell the asada from the al pastor. And the meat was chopped up so small it was kinda like spicy ground beef. Also they were super greasy. The meat soaked through both tortillas pretty quickly. I live pretty close so it was only a few minutes from picking them up until I was sitting at home eating them. They have one type of hot sauce available that is about medium and pretty tasty.

I think a lot of people who have reviewed this place need to get their heads checked because this is definitely nowhere close to being the best taco truck ever or the best tacos ever. Try something in San Diego before making such absurd claims. However, it is certainly a solid taco option in a place devoid of any real Mexican food and quite cheap($ 1.50 per taco) as well. The meat isn’t the best, although the al pastor is flavored pretty damn well I must say. I also wish they had guacamole on the tacos, but that’s more of a personal preference thing. Overall, it is pretty authentic and the price is pretty good value. That in itself makes me tip my cap to this taco truck.

This place stole my heart. I love, love, love Mexican food. I cannot even begin to count the amount of burritos I have had in my life but I think I have found the best one yet. I ordered a regular chicken burrito and it was so full of spice and flavor, that I had wipe not only the sauce but tears of joy from my face. I often come to this taco truck for tacos and tortas, which are also phenomenal here, but this was my first time getting a burrito. It was so good. Unfortunately, I spilled a bunch on my shirt so now I’ll have to work the rest of the day with stains on my shirt. To quote old Carl’s Jr. commercials, «if it doesn’t get all over the place, it doesn’t belong in your face.»

If you are looking for a classic Mexican food truck then this the place to be. I like the Torta which is delicious but the burritos and tacos are tied for a close second. I really enjoy how nice they are too. I normally go here over chipotle or Rubio to help the little guy out!

I had to make a trip to Petco and thought I’d get a few tacos for lunch afterwards. Boy, was I impressed. I got one chicken, one tripas, and two lengua super tacos at $ 1.75/each. Add a water to that, and my lunch was $ 8.16. It doesn’t get better than that for the yummy goodness I inhaled. The chicken was good, but the tripas blew it out of the water. They were flavorful and juicy with a crisp to them. The lengua was a second to the tripas. I’m making another trip to this truck next time I go to Petco– even if it’s just a snack. lol This is damn good Mexican food and too awesome to pass up.

Thank goodness for taco trucks. They seriously save the day when you want some Mexican food and don’t have to settle for Taco Bell. And the authenticity of the food is awesome too! I always get carnitas tacos — seriously the best marinated meat. If I had to make other choices, I’d go with chicken and steak. I also love the pickled jalapenos and radishes. I don’t live in the area anymore, but will be on the lookout for this truck if I’m ever in the neighborhood. I’m a sucker for cheap, delicious food!

I live right down the street and have always been curious about them. I ordered 3 tacos here to try all their meats: Carnitas, carne asada and al pastor. I give 5 stars for carnitas, 4 stars for carne asada and 3 stars for al pastor, all to average out to 4 stars. The carnitas are soft and not greasy at all, I was almost blown away with the right amount of flavor. The carne asada was also juicy and flavorful. The al pastor was a little too dried out but still good, just paling in comparison to the previous 2. All in all, I’d definitely come back to satisfy a taco craving with either carnitas or carne asada, pass on al pastor. and I’m also curious about the burrito which is apparently less than $ 4!

I keep on forgetting about this taco truck! I’ve been to the truck in Alviso but never to this one. I’ve tried coming here but they usually cut out early and I can’t get my taco fix. The food: The eats are good and flavorful. I don’t think they use the best quality meat but they for sure prepare it with love. It might just be the salsa but I could eat 10+ tacos if I really wanted The staff: The workers are cool. I order in Spanish and I do notice an extra jalapeño here and there. Knowing Spanish comes in handy. I’m just waiting for the day where they throw in a free taco The Truck: The truck is ok but I don’t think they serve beverages off of this truck. The whole front was empty so I couldn’t get my 40oz for my lunch break… I kid. I don’t drink on the job. Maybe they were just getting ready to leave and stored all the drinks away. I am definitely coming back, as long as I remember their hours of operation here. You cant beat $ 1.25(including tax) tacos!!!

Cheap delicious tacos? I’m in! Finally got a chance to actually try the tacos here after years of passing by it. It was a sunny afternoon when my boyfriend and I decided to pick some tacos up after ordering Bön Chon chicken togo. I got 2 chicken super tacos while he got 2 carne asada ones. The total came up to about 7 bucks which was an amazing deal! It took about 4 minutes for our order to get ready and wrapped togo. The tacos a bit smaller than most places but I couldn’t complain since they were less than 2 dollars each! They also pack these tacos with a bunch of meat so that makes it even better! The tacos were extremely fulfilling but if you plan on getting them, make sure you get the super tacos so you can get the extras on top!

Love when my hunger strike hits and we’re on El Camino and I see the truck. We rolled up and there were about three people in front of us. We ordered two Carnitas tacos and carne asada burrito: $ 7.50. You can’t beat that price. Tacos were tasty and they cooked the meat extra crispy just like the Canadian likes it. Authentic quality food, consistant, and prices that can’t be beat.

This taco truck serves up some decent tacos. I’m not sure they’re great but they’re good. I’ll stop by occasionally for a quick bite and ususally like the carnitas the best. They’ll run you about a buck twenty five a pop. Might see ya there.
