Service too slow any time. Food some days good nd some days too oily if crowded they take 30 mins to take order nd to serve additional 45 mins.

Giving it zero stars. Got a take out order of dal tadka and bhindi masala. On opening dal it smelled kind of burned. We tasted a little and it was indeed burned tasting. We couldn’t swallow even one spoonful. Bhindi — we could squeeze out a cup of oil from bhindi masala. Other than the onions in the curry there was nothing good. Bhindi was stale and rubbery. We ended up not eating anything that day. Would never want to visit this place again.

I am giving one star only for vada pav. We ordered triple schezwan fried rice and all we got was friend rice with weird noodles over it. We ordered gobhi Manchurian and it was horrible. Really horrible! I wouldn’t recommend anyone to try vegetarian indo Chinese here.

Sold kadi, tandoori fish, pau Bhaji — good Fish curries — not worth it. Won’t try it again

Close to authentic kolhapur combo. But Goan fish curry had too much mustard. There was no pandhara rassa for kolhapur combo. Too much time to get the order.

My fam went here because of a Groupon and it was actually our first time at a sit down Indian restaurant! I was afraid of looking dumb because j didn’t know much about how to eat the food or what to order. We were immediately given room temperature water while I was frantically looking at Unilocal photos to help order. However we ended up just asking one of the waiters and he was cool. He asked if we wanted spicy multiple times and told us what to choose… the dishes weren’t spicy LOL. We ordered chicken tikki masala, chicken xakutti, and their noodle & fried rice dish along with some paratha, roti, and naan. It took probably 15 minutes. I wish I didn’t order the fried rice and just stuck to eating things with the breads. I don’t know how to judge Indian food but just based on personal preference, we liked the chicken tikki masala sauce better but liked the chicken in the xakutti better. They were good with the roti and naan but weren’t things I’d necessarily imagine craving or ordering again. The fried rice strongly tasted like sriracha with sugar mixed in. I guess I’m just not used to it. Not a fan. The entire time we ate, the staff kept staring at us. I asked if we were eating it correctly but I don’t think the waiter understood English(different from the one we ordered from). He just chuckled, nodded, and walked away. We were eating it through dipping and with a knife and fork… Idk. Plus I noticed the waiters touching other people’s food with their bare hands before serving so I was kind of worried. Didn’t seem to touch ours though. The décor was in a beach theme which was out of place but looked nice. Bollywood videos were playing on screen. General ambiance was nice, it wasn’t filled much on a Tuesday night. But anyway it was a cool experience. Wouldn’t come back again just due to personal preferences for the food.

2 Vada Pavs + 1 Batata Vada + Chilly Chicken costed me $ 20 Great taste in Vada Pavs and Batata Vada but Chilly chicken was spicy but lacked vegetables. I could find small pieces of red & green bell peppers but they looked burnt. Chilly Chicken should be complimented with Medium to Large cuts Fresh Bell Peppers, Onions, Ginger, Garlic As far as I am concerned, I would not order it but definitely go for the Vada Pavs

AVOIDATALLCOSTS!!! I had the absolute worst experience at this place today. I’ve been here a couple of times, and while the food is decent and reasonably priced, the service has always been crap. But after today, I will not be returning here. 1. So there were two of us, and the waiter just put one menu on our table and left. I just waited for him to get me another one because… Duh! I eventually had to get his attention and ask for another one. He was expecting us to share one menu when half the restaurant was empty. 2. My friend had asked for a drink with the order, and while the rest of the food got to us, the drink never made it. Halfway through our meal, we were sure he just forgot about it. So, again we had to catch his attention(annoying btw) and remind him of the drink. He goes ‘oh yea yea’ and then he goes back and starts drying some plates with napkins. We wait for the drink and another 10 minutes passed. We eventually asked a different guy to get us the drink, and waiter no. 2 got the drink for us in the next second! It was just a Fanta by the way, not some fancy ass cocktail that needed preparation time. 3. So we finish our food and tell waiter no. 2 we have a groupon. So I proceed to show that to him on my phone. He TOOKMYPHONEFROMMEANDJUSTWENTTOTHEBACKOFTHERESTAURANTWITHIT. Now me an my friend are just sitting there baffled at what just happened. And I saw the guy literally take it to the kitchen and pass it to someone and then back to the cashier again and people are just passing my phone around like its their f***ing property. When he comes back, I let him know that he isn’t supposed to take my phone away and to not do this ever again. He just looks at me, no apology. 4. By this time, I am pissed and just want to leave. My friend asks for a bag for our leftovers and we are given this paper bag without those little paper handles. So he asks for one with those handles and he’s told straight up that they don’t have one. So our food doesn’t fit into that single bag and he goes back to ask for another one and there lying next their pile of brown bags was exactly what he asked for. 5. So I just pay the bill and obviously do not want to tip. And trust me, I am never one to shy from tipping waiters even if they gave me so so service but this was unacceptable. He looks at my signed copy of the receipt and bluntly goes«tip?». And I just retorted I don’t want to tip. I don’t know how he got the nerve to even ask me that after all the mess. So, to sum it up… I do not want to go back to this godforsaken place again. That was an extremely unpleasant experience which I put some money towards. Regret!

Yukky place with very dirty food . I just can’t describe the hate I have for this place. Went here on a Friday late night because it was the only place open at that time. I ordered chicken malai tikka, kadahi paneer, naan and veg biryani. Tikka was the only eatable thing we got here, kadahi paneer was very very bad I had to ask server if he was sure that he bought kadahi paneer and biryani was stale with stale yoghurt. It tasted like it’s old more than a week. When we told our server about the biryani he started saying it is fresh as if I am an idiot and I don’t know how a good eatable food should taste like, he took it away but they were not sorry for the old biryani they gave us. Very bad experience will never come back again.

I have tried like 8 restaurants around but this is the best one in terms of chicken lollipop. Also, the quantities of food are enormous. Thats it, thats the only good part about this restaurant. I have a couple complaints though, the food is immensely oil(even after you say ‘please make it less oily’) Second, they do not know how to cook triple schz fried rice, i am mumbaite, i doubt anyone else would know better than we do how its done, like cummon peas in fried rice. And then triple fried rice means rice+noodles+gravy, there was no gravy served wotsoever and when u ask, they look at you like i have demanded for their property. I’d have goven 3 but +1 is for lollipop only

Was my first time here, a friends recommendation. Ordered the following: 1) batata wada 2) pao bhaaji 3) misal pao etc Food wasn’t that good. It was cold and I think they can do better job. I would think twice before I go there again. PLEASENOTE: They are pretty good with their customer service. I would go back just for that. They made sure I left out with a happy face.

First visit: Vada paav and paav bhaji Vada paav was good Paav bhaji: runny, bland, not much bhaaji to it and really weird taste. I will give one more try, with main dish, and update.

I am a born and raised Goan foodie and i would like to start by saying that my hunt for authentic Goan restaurant in bay area ends here, at least for now. I will jump start by recommending dishes i enjoyed the most. Rava Masala prawns/kingfish/pomfret fry, Crab Masala, Amottik fish curry, Goan uman(pronounced Hooman), Chicken Xacutti(pronouced Shaakooti), fish cutlet, chicken sukkha. In desserts try the Bebinca and Caramel custard. They also serve lunch Thali on weekdays, i havn’t tried it yet. Pricing is reasonable given that its seafood. Being a Goan restaurant and expect signature Susegaad service when its crowded. Service staff is really friendly and prompt. We were served by Sunny who has great knowledge of Goan cuisine.

With Indian food, it’s all about the food. Chana masala — SO oily. It got everywhere. Full of chickpeas, but pretty much just as full of oil. This is where natural flavors go to die. Vegetable curry — Spicy. Okay. Nothing special. For a vegetable curry, it tasted kind of blended. Plus bread to dip in… which was fine. Roti — Pretty decent… weirdly enough of kinda reminded me of a mix of a corn tortilla and naan. I usually prefer naan over roti so I’m not sure if that was how it was supposed to taste. I may be a bit generous here because I can’t say I’d have the desire to eat any of this again. Bombay to Goa? I don’t think I would go(a) again.

I ordered food to go. They charged me $ 1 extra than the menu for each item which I ordered(Goan fish uman I was charged 11.99, regular price is $ 10.99. Same with the other two items) and plus they did not follow the special instructions which I gave for my pompfret masala fry. I realized the change in price only after the third time when my friend picked it up for me and my total amount was different from what she paid. Their servers are pretty rude too. They just ignore if you tell them that it’s tasting different than last time. I love the food here but this was a little disappointing to find out that they cheat and don’t really care about the special request after having agreed to follow them.

I come from Maharashtra and am a die hard Goan/konkani food fan. I had not imagined we could get something as authentic as we get back home. Vada paav was very well made, perfect taste served with delicious chutneys. Seafood platter was amazing. The sauce was perfectly spicy, but not too hot. Kolhapuri chicken and chicken sukkha with chapati felt exactly like the one we get in Maharashtra. Prawns dum Biryani was good as well. Fried surmai would be the only disappointment — I could smell that the fish wasn’t clearly a fresh one and it was prepared very oily. Nothing beats being on the warm beaches of Konkan and enjoy freshly caught fish, but thousands of miles away from that, I would be contained with«Bombay to Goa».

Food: 3 stars, almost 3.5 Service: 3.5 stars. friendly Maybe we came in here with higher expectations, but what can I do after hearing all these cool stories about Goa vacations and Goan food??? We got the bhakri($ 2 per) which was supposed to be a simple no-grease, no-frills, whole wheat bread. It tasted alright to me, but it was a little greasy on the outside. The kolhapuri mutton(~$ 13) was simple, came with nothing else, and became a little bit bland after a few bites. The meat was cooked well though and I just wish it came with some kind of yogurt/dip/chutney to offset the creaminess of the curry. Lastly, I was excited to try king fish fry($ 12, called surmai fish I believe). It came in 2 sad pieces and while seasoning was pretty good, it was a bit salty for me and just didn’t impress. Finished off the meal with ras malai(similar to cottage cheese balls in sweet milk, $ 4). I’d give this a 4 stars! I liked it, to my surprise, because I hate cottage cheese. The taste was mild, not overwhelming, and suited my palate after the main courses. Good finish! All in all we spent $ 40 between two people, not that full, not that satisfied. I’d maybe come back to try the lunch buffet one day, but not for dinner.

I should’ve listened to my inner self and avoided this place. But unfortunately for me, I was dragged into this smelly, untidy business. Service — Bad. When asked about dishes, they weren’t sure of the contents. Asked to clear table to make place for other dishes, «I’ll come back» he said. Had to remind him twice and he wasn’t even busy. Food — Pathetic. Ordered vada pav, vegetable kolhapuri(bland), roti(tasteless and hard), prawn tandoori sizzler(okkkay), malvan fish curry(bad) Ambience — Nauseating. I don’t know if it’s the smell of stale food or just the place but the moment you enter the restaurant, it reeks of dinginess. Never ever am I going back. P.S: Whoever thinks vada pav is awesome here hasn’t had the original one in India I suppose. I would give it maybe 2⁄5 but that’s about it. Chat Bhavan makes much better vada pav

It was late, and I was hungry so I logged into door-dash and scanned for anything still open. My options were limited and Bombay to Goa was just about the last Indian food available for the night. It’s possible I just ordered something they aren’t known for, but I feel like it’s nearly impossible to mess up Butter Chicken. It had a bizarro grainy texture(not the typical creamy consistency I’m used to anywhere else). The only redeeming quality is that I ordered it «hot» and it was actually spicy. But other than that I would not get it again. The flavor itself wasn’t bad, and the chicken wasn’t bad, but nothing was great, which is where the entire meal fell short(in addition to the texture). The naan I ordered was just kind of meh also. Maybe someday I’ll go back and try the seafood curries they seem to be known for, but it really is hard to muck up butter chicken and I was not impressed.
