3.5 stars. It was pretty good overall and is worthy of a return trip. The flavors were good and the serving sizes generous. The horchata was very refreshing and the guacamole was done well. I got two carne asada tacos. My only complaint is that the steak pieces were too large and chewy to be eaten in a taco.

Randomly walked in and were wonderfully surprised. They guy at the counter was friendly and made helpful suggestions as to what to try. I had the pulled pork tacos. The meat was juicy and the salsa was fantastic. My husband had the burrito(again, pulled pork) and thought likewise. We got a bowl of soup(pozole?) and shared; a cup is big enough for a meal by itself. That was something special. The meat was tender, the hominy tasty, and the broth was rich and flavorful. We also got horchata, which was homemade and deliciously cinnamoney. Basically, there is a difference between run-of-the mill Mexican food and real quality. This place is quality; just a step above what you normally find. And it’s an amazing deal for food this good!

The service was incredible. The son was so helpful and kind. The mom is definitely one of the most talented chefs ever. Me encanto la comida y el servicio excelente que dio el joven ! Definitivamente una de las mejores experiencias que e tenido !

We came here for lunch yesterday around 2 pm. The restaurant had only two staff members — the cook and the counter server. We ordered fish tacos, shrimp tacos and pulled pork burrito. The tacos were small for $ 3.75 each. Shrimp taco was rather flavorful, fish taco tasted decent, not exceptional. Though we asked for no sour cream for the burrito, they still put a drizzle of it on top. The burrito had a reasonable amount of meat, but neither it nor the rice had much flavor. It was also dry due to not having any sauce or salsa in it. When we asked for red salsa for the buritto, the woman at the counter refused to give it to us. instead she handed us a squeeze bottle of red sauce and insisted that it was the right sauce to use — I consider this very poor customer service. Won’t be coming back due to the counter woman’s poor attitude.

We found this place on Unilocal and decided to try it because of the good reviews. We ordered tacos(chicken, shrimp, al pastor, and lengua), the 3 taquitos plate(chicken and chorizo), and guacamole. The chicken taco was kind of dry but everything else was delicious! I have to say the lengua and shrimp tacos were definitely my favorites though. The hubby’s favorite(hands down) was the guacamole.

100% not what I expected, but also was not disappointed. Ordered a 3 taquito plate with one of each option. My favorite of the three was the potato and cheese. While the restaurant doesn’t seem like the most authentic Mexican food I’ve tried, they get points for having a spicy AF orange sauce and delicious options on the menu that you won’t find everywhere like taquitos.

One of the best Taco places I have been to. Soft tacos are well balanced with lots of meat. Worth every bite. Great customer service, restaurant is roomy, and restrooms are very clean. Gotta go back and try other items. Oh need to try their flan as well.

Cash and and card accepted. Speedy Tacos is in the restaurant plaza off Duane and offers a lot of plaza parking. I ordered one lengua taco, pulled pork quesadilla, and chips and salsa. I have to say the orange sauce they provide on the tables is better than the La Vic’s orange sauce because it has such a great taste and is spicy! Yum! The lengua taco was good and the salsa was yummy as well(I recommend to put some of the orange sauce in the salsa to make it spicier). I didn’t really care for the pulled pork quesadilla since the meat was slightly dry but overall I really like my meal. The customer service was amazing here since they were so polite and they cleared the tables so quickly. The food came out speedy and they lived up to their name too. I would recommend going here and will be back soon to try other menu items.

I was craving soup and my colleagues wanted tacos. This place was the closest to our job so we decided to order here, and OMG, their tacos were bigger than average(with tons of meat in it) and their pozole(which is only available on weekends) was so BOMB! I ordered online and paid as soon as I got there with no wait. Excellent service!

Came here for lunch after seeing the Unilocal reviews and recommendations from friends and I must say Speedy’s Tacos lives up to the hype! When we came in around noon, there was a bit of a wait with the staff tending to a large party, but within 10 minutes, we ordered and sat down. The restaurant is definitely on the smaller side, however, that’s to be expected of a family owned restaurant. I ordered the chicken burrito and my friends ordered the tamales and shrimp tacos. The burrito was fantastic — I haven’t tried other meats, but the chicken is a great choice. The tamales were good(a bit spicy, but not too much). The shrimp tacos were also consistent in taste. The orange sauce added a lot of flavor to the burrito, but make sure to only use a little as it’s very spicy! While there’s only about 3 – 4 people on the staff, they are all extremely attentive, efficient, & friendly. If you’re planning to come for lunch, expect a bit of a wait between 12pm-1pm. I meant to add pictures of the food, but my burrito looked so good, I started eating it as soon as it hit the table! I’m sure I’ll be back to Speedy’s, so I’ll be sure to add pictures next time!

Vegetable/vegan burritos and orange sauce are probably the best I’ve had locally. Burritos are lightly grilled, full of flavor and VEGGIES! Sauce is super, super spicy and delicious. My boyfriend really enjoyed his pulled pork and pastor tacos. Clean, friendly place… creepy painting makes me hesitate to come back, though.

Solid flavors and homemade feel make these tacos stand out. I ordered a pulled pork taco, lengua taco, and chips & salsa. As noted in other reviews, it did seem strange to have the chips & salsa as an additional $ 2 charge but they were good. I think it would be nice if they were complimentary with two or more tacos. The salsa is a tomato based salsa that has notes of sweetness to round out the heat. It seemed fairly traditional with the onions and chopped cilantro added in after mixing the tomatoes, jalepenos, and garlic. A solid salsa for sure. Chips were okay. Nothing to rave about. Use the $ 2 for chips and salsa towards another taco. The pulled pork taco is definitely not carnitas. But that’s not a bad thing. It’s more of a barbacoa or adobo style. The flavors were spot on. Smoky, sweet, great spices — it really was love with first bite. They go a little heavy with the red onions on top, but they didn’t overwhelm the taco. In fact, the proportions of tortilla to filling to condiments were perfect. The lengua taco was just as good. Again, nothing fancy. Just traditional flavored lengua with a tomatillo sauce lightly dressed on top with red onion and cilantro. Perfect proportions. So good. I have to say that the corn tortillas here are especially good. They were the perfect addition to the filling and were soft but had just a hint of crunch. These guys know how to build a taco so come check it out. They offer the perfect taco bite from start to finish.

This is cool spot for quick food. They have a simple but delicious menu. Quick and simple. This was perfect for us as we were just passing through town. The shrimp tacos are to die for!!! Definitely need to order yourself a couple of those. The shrimp is grilled to perfection. I love chile rellenos and this place has it down! The sauce is so delicious. A sauce like I’ve never tried before on a chile relleno. I’d love to buy it by the jar honestly. The staff is very polite and helpful. Looking for quick, delicious food? Give this place a try. It’s perfect.

After my friend Sarah kept raving about this place, I knew it was time for me to try it out. I ordered a steak burrito. While it was satisfying, it was nothing to write home about. All the workers are super kind and the restaurant was clean. I will say the lighting was a little weak. It kinda felt like we were eating in the dark. Will probably be back due to my friend Sarah’s persistence.

I saw great review at this place. Was hungry one afternoon, so the husband and I decided to stop by. Pretty small place. I LOVE how their menu and sweet and simple. We got some tacos and taquitos. Both VERY good. No free chips and salsa, but buying it wasn’t too pricey. Aside and carnitas tacos, both tasty and moist meat. Taquitos, I got potato and chorizo and potato and cheese. Very GOOD! Husband REALLY enjoyed it. Taquitos was served/presented w/a small salad which complemented the dish. I will come back to try other stuff!

Really delicious, but totally not what I was expecting! This is pretty different compared to a lot of the taquerias in the Sunnyvale area. It’s a very clean and cute spot. The tacos were very good, but they were a little inauthentic. Sort of more california style tacos which are very good in their own regard, you just have to be in the mood for them. What I LOVED were the taquitos. There are so few places that make taquitos, and these had such an amazing texture and were done perfectly. I will come back just for those. Glad this new spot opened up nearby! :)

Good food, friendly service. And fast — they’re called Speedy for a reason! Oh, if you ever see the shrimp soup on their daily specials menu, get it. GETIT! The shrimp in the soup(and there were plenty) are just succulent, the way a shrimp should be. You can tell they only use fresh ingredients here. Thumbs up! P. S. That orange sauce on the table? Don’t use it if you want to live. It is SPICY!!!

Me loves it! What can I say? Great Tacos… I’ve tried Al Pastor, Carne Asada, and their Shrimp. All really good. I would order that w/a side of Guac. Their Meatball Soup is also really delicious as well as their Pozole(which is only available on weekends. starting on Friday.) I also love their homemade hot sauces. The orange sauce is REALLY hot(from a scale of 1 – 10.its a 11!) And I DO spicy! They also have a hot sauce that is oil based… also really good and has some heat(from a scale of 1 – 10.its a 5!) Both sauces are excellent! This is also a dog friendly restaurant. which I love! They allowed us to dine on their patio area with our four-legged son. Good food, great service, and pet friendly… can’t go wrong with that!

Don’t be scared when you walk in and the restaurant is empty except for 1 table, the food is definitely good here. At one time in my life I would argue that a taco is a taco is a taco… Those days are over. After trying the tacos at Garaje in SF my taste buds have seen the truth. While not as good as Garaje(sorry not sorry), their tacos here are pretty damn good. I got 2 for lunch and was very satisfied. The shrimp was perfectly cooked, and my friend loves the chicken tacos. And don’t even get me started on the chips! Little bits of oil tell me they’re homemade. Not too thin, not too thick, they’re definitely just right. My one complaint is that they’re guacamole should have tomatoes. Perfect lunch spot when every other restaurant in this strip mall is packed!(Which seems to be all the time)
