Has the right vibe and sure beats the chain taquerias. As with many other places, the burritos are big, but take your time and you’ll finish it.

Great fish tacos, don’t know why this place isn’t more popular. Also super cheap. Wish it was in Palo alto…

Great burritos and fish tacos. Don’t try the salsa especial so they won’t run out of it by the time I get my late lunch

A rare gem of actual authentic Mexican food in the Bay Area. This is the kind of place I miss from Southern California.

The food is good and theyre usually pretty fast. The older people in the cash registers are beyond rude though. They overcharged my friend and when we asked they played dumb.

I have been coming to Taqueria Latina for the last 10+ years as I worked across the street. The food has always been decent, I’d probably give it 3 starts. Not the best Mexican food I’ve ever had, but not the worst. My review is about the service I received this week. I ordered food to go, for myself a friend. The older woman who works there was ringing me up, when a friend texted and asked to add more food to the order. I tried to add to my order before she charged me, but she had already processed my credit card for $ 13. My next order was $ 4.89, she informed me the minimum credit card charge was $ 5.00 and would not let me use my credit card. I reminded her I had just spent $ 13 and asked to make an exception for just 11 cents, she refused. When I again asked for an exception, based on how long I have been coming to their establishment, her response was to ring me up for $ 5.00+ tax– she didn’t say a word, just banged on the register and gave me a mocking look. Had she charged me $ 5 flat, I may have gone for it, but the harshness of her reaction and her rudeness was too much and I immediately canceled the order. This is an establishment that I(and my coworkers) have been going to for over 10 years. I understand they have policies and can hold them– but the old woman at the counter was so incredibly rude and just did not care about customer service– simple common decency would have been appreciated. There are many other food options in the area that have better food and service, which is where I will be going now.

Location: Taqueria Latina is located on Maude near Phở Lovers. There is no parking lot, but street parking is easy to find. Went at around 11:30am and there was a spot right in front. You can also park in the parking lot of the market down the street if you really do not want to park in the street or have to parallel park. Service: Ordering and receiving food was fast and easy. After you order, the cashier will give you a number that you place on the table. In the meantime, you can help yourself to some chips and salsa. Presentation: I ordered four tacos(pastor, pollo asado, carne asada, and pescado). The tacos were placed on one plate with some onion, lime, and radish. Ordered a large horchata and it was huge. I believe it was 32 ounces whereas the smaller size was probably 16 ounces. The large was too much horchata for me, even though I am a big fan. Taste: Food tasted good. Of the four proteins, my favorite was the chicken, then the pork, the steak, and lastly, the fish. The chicken was well seasoned and not dry. The pork and steak tasted on par with other taquerias I’ve been to. The fish was disappointing. It was bits and pieces of fish that seemed to have been just throw on a tortilla. Not sure if it was because there wasn’t much fish or if the fish was not seasoned, but I just did not enjoy the fish taco. The horchata was good. I wouldn’t say it was the best horchata I’ve had, but it was not the worst. Price: Four tacos and a large horchata ended up being about $ 10, which was not bad. Overall, for the amount of taquerias there are in the area, I don’t think I would come back just to get some tacos. Ok, maybe just the chicken tacos. I will definitely come back to try some of the more authentic items on their menu, but the tacos were decent. Nothing special.

I just moved here from Texas and I decided to try this place out since we recently moved to this area. First of off let me inform you that I am 4th generation Mexican American and have had really good Mexican food all over the country. Let me tell you the food was Not Good!!! The old man at the front cashier was totally rude and got my order incorrect! He also incorrectly charged me to add fuel to the fire! Food: I got 2 chicken tacos and 2 steak tacos. The meat was flavorless, the portion was tiny and the corn tortilla was dry and breaking apart. Beans were definitely from a can! Rice needed more tomatoe sauce and looked like they were yesterday’s rice. I will definitely not be back and I recommend you try somewhere else.

Horrible costumer service and the tacos have a really small portion of meat. I will not recommend this place at all.

As authentic as it comes. It was a short walk from my office. I may not have tried it otherwise, because it wasn’t in a «destination» area. I’ve been twice. Tacos on the first visit and the Super burrito on the second. Both are totally worth it. If you’re nearby, make the trip.

Wow got to say dissapointing. My order was a super burrito de tripa and god they ripped me off. 1 the meat portion in it is really light, it’s taste is alright. I can taste more of the cabbage and beans then anything. Oh yea they put cabbage in burritos too. I don’t like that on my burritos. The old man at the register tried to up charge me. I would have walked off overcharged if I didn’t notice and ask why the price was. Never coming back

Probably some of the best tacos I’ve had stateside. Really surprised me that they offered authentic gorditas and sopes as well. Ingredients were fresh, everything was perfectly seasoned, and the price was just right. Hole in the wall, and it reflects. Traditional mural painted on the wall, and staff struggles with English. However, food definitely speaks for itself. I’ll be back here to try to tortas.

I am a HUGE fan of hole in the wall(homemade) Mexican food. Taqueria Latina is one of my favorites in Sunnyvale! The prices are low & the quantity/quality of food you get is high. Highly recommend to anyone who loves Tacos, Tortas, Burritos, etc.

Legit taqueria. Not open very late unfortunately. If you can catch them while they are open, you will not be dissapointed. Tortas here are fantastic.

YUM! Tacos and Gorditas. You must get all of the tacos and gorditas. Favorite meats(for the above tacos and gorditas): –carne asada –al pastor –pollo Also tried the super burrito and wasn’t a huge fan — I’d stick with their taco varietals. They are awesome!

Carne asada tacos … and lot of it. Place your order for 8 – 10 of them. Ask for a cup of water and grab the free chips/salsa from the right side. Sit down with your order number. In 5 minutes, someone will come with your food. Simple and delicious. FYI, this aint no fancy restaurant where waiter will come with your drink, refill your water and shit. It’s mostly self service. You want something, get up and get it or ask the cashier.

I been working right up the street for 2 years and just now finding this great hole in the wall. I have truly been missing out. Carne Asada SUPERBURRITO was . I love the fact that you can choose refried beans rather than pinto beans. Staff was very friendly and lots of room to sit. This place seems to get busy during lunch hour so go early or after that rush hour. whenever that is. lol.

All the guests sitting eating were speaking Spanish and the tv was playing a futbol game. A painting of Jesus plastered on the wall and adorned with Christmas lights. A telephone booth to wire money. This place is a true, authentic hole-in-the-wall taqueria! The food here is not bad and very cheap… a meal for two was only $ 10! Food came out quickly, too. My favorite item was the Al Pastor Taco… the fish taco was meh and the quesadilla was just okay.

Friend took me to her local taqueria for some delicious and authentic mexican food. It can be easy to miss their parking lot, so make sure to take a left into the parking lot at the light right before the taqueria. Walked in and it definitley reminded me of a local taqueria with the TV blaring with sports coverage. Can see it getting crazy in here when big soccer games are on. Took a look at the menu above, and choices galore! Plus, everything was so reasonably priced. A super burrito for $ 5.50?! Hell yes! But I decided to try the tacos since that is the true test, and my friend recommended it. I immediately went with the fish taco and carne asada taco for $ 1.50 each, with no cilantro, thank you very much. I also wanted to try their tamale since that’s a big test for me. Chose chicken over the pork. She asked me with everything on it, and was not sure what that included, but said yes(forgetting to say no cilantro please!). We also got ourselves a big old cup of horchata. I believe they are cash only, and we took our meals to a huge old table in front of the register. I commented if they had chips and salsa as I did not see a salsa bar(boo on that) and the cashier who was so kind and friendly immediately brought us our own paper bowl of chips and a serving of salsa. The salsa was so good(minus the cilantro swimming in it) and the chips were unfortunately store bought. Out came our food and we were ready to dig in! Took a bite of the fish taco(not breaded) and it was a fireworks of flavor in my mouth. It was so delicious! Even though I wasn’t done with it, I immediately wanted another one. Told the fat girl inside of me to shut up, and dug into the carne asada taco. Decent, but definitley not as good as the fish taco. Once I killed those two little tacos, I dug into the tamale. So it had cabbage, hot salsa(which was pretty hot but loved it), and sour cream doused on top of it. Never seen a tamale like this, but it gave it that extra umph that tamales don’t usually have. Corn was solid, and the chicken was moist as well. All in all, a good meal, but then they started to clean the dirty tables around us. Luckily we were just about done because that is major food kill for me. So despite that and no salsa bar, will have to give this place 4 stars because it’s homey and those fish tacos… drool!
