I would call it a terrible dining experience except I couldn’t eat the food. Decided to try lunch there because it’s near my office. There were only four items on the lunch menu. I chose the sausage on a roll. I expected to slather it with mustard, wolf it down and go back to work. After a considerable wait(there was only one other customer in the joint), out came my meal. Let me describe what arrived: a puny sausage on a roll with a ton of mushrooms(never mentioned on menu and I detest mushrooms). I painstakingly removed the mushrooms and found the most generous serving of mayo I’ve ever seen. I was nauseous! Are you kidding me? Mushrooms and mayo on what essentially was a hot dog! The only server, who all of the time i was there perched on a stool checking her email finally noticed I wasn’t eating asked me if everything was okay? I explained I was grossed out and couldn’t eat. She said she would talk to the owner and have the menu reflect all garnishments. She asked if I wanted something else to eat. I responded no because I was afraid of what other surprises might loom.

This place has a big«Beer Garden» sign on it now. I went after work so there was not much going on. My friend and I had two dinners(burger and buffalo wings) and 4 beers for a little over $ 30. The burger was juicy and the fries were seasoned. They have around 9 non-standard beers on tap including some tasty German beer. I got a good pour in a glass stein. There is WI-FI, a few TVs and lots of seating especially patio(w/ashtrays.) They had Hookas and cigars available and two pool tables. The bar tenders were chatty if not bored. The location isn’t good. Definitely drive in and drive out. It would be great if they had a shuttle that drove around to the local work campuses and maybe the Caltrain and picked people up and dropped them off once and hour from 5 — 9. I’ll go back.

So! Usually I go to Smoke This in Santa Clara but I didn’t want to make the commute the other night… So I went with some friends here since its closer to home. We went in and they didn’t ask for an ID until we were seated, also, their hookah menu is not that great… There was only about 24 – 25 falvours and they weren’t even that strong. They use quick light coals, they didn’t come around to change the coals, the use plastic hoses, we had to poke more holes in the foil, they didn’t clear the bowl, the older woman who I believe is the owner was a little rude, there was no inside seating area, it was really dark, they didn’t even offer us a menu for food, AND they kept ignoring us. Also, it was way to expensive for what it was… It was $ 25 for 3 people on a 20in hookah… I would really only go back there for a cigar but even then there’s better places to go that won’t be so rude. I would NOT recommend this place to a friend.

This place sucks. From the bouncer, who is rude, unprofessional and always looking to start something to the cashiers and waitresses who definitely need training. I think the entire establishment needs to be shut down. Stay away. Stay far away.

This place has potential, but maybe the night I visited they just decided to give up. Couldn’t get the drink I ordered because they were out. The menu online looks great but when I came in they only had calamari, French fries, and a burger. The place is a middle eastern place so where is the mid east cuisine. The Taverna bistro really impressed me but the taverna lounge was a major disappointment.

This place is horrible! I tried using this Unilocal deal and they were confused about it. The owner refused to accept it. I ended up cutting a deal with them, my $ 12 for $ 24 would be worth $ 12… The owner is cheap and was complaining about me asking for an extra hookah mouth piece to try a friend’s hookah. Stay away from this place.

Old Shooters, nicely remodeled. Great patio. Nice bartenders. Not very experienced. One of the owners hovers around constantly, Kinda kills the mood. Place has a lot of potential. If you want a quiet drink and some friendly conversation it’s great. Never crowded that’s for sure.

Hookah, liquor, and cigars all in one place and they have a pool table. I mean if you’re into pool then there ya go. They don’t get a lot of business because they’re still pretty new but I recommend it!!!

Stopped by here after grabbing some sushi @ Sakura to enjoy a fresh hookah bowl and work on some photos.
