I wrote a disappointed review a year ago, and time has not sweetened this place. All of my previous issues still stand, with some fun new ones! I can’t remember the last time they charged me correctly. This time, they offered to split the check for us ahead of time, and literally every tab was wrong. We ordered six beers total and got billed for eight. It took me 20 minutes to get them to take the beer I never ordered off my tab, and my friends just didn’t even bother to fight it. They just paid for the beer they never ordered. The heaters were out of propane. Again. Or… still? And the music on the patio made it so we had to fight to be heard. As for the service, there’s no communication among the staff. Aside from our regularly mangled checks, when we sat down in the patio, we were first ignored for 10 minutes, and then had five servers ask if we were ready to order in the span of three minutes. Our orders are rarely delivered promptly, if ever. And even though we never got our waters, we sure had to spend a lot of time declining beers we never ordered. I’m just tired of the crap we have to put up with every time we come here. It could be a really cool place, but every time we come here, SOMETHING goes wrong. I’m sure there’s another good place for drinks in Sunnyvale. Maybe we’ll try you again next year, TL.

Clean out your beer lines. Your beer tastes terrible. Love the ambiance. Love the people, but holy god. $ 7 for a beer that could be infested with fungus? Over it for now.

Got take out from this place. The lamb burger was good and they have lot of variants as well. The staff was pleasant. If you want to try the burger here, get it with any other kinda bread than French roll. It’s just too much bread.

All stars are for the friendliness of the servers. Kasey and Valessa were so attentive and super-friendly. Our dog just loved them both. Last Sunday was our second time. We are ok with the not-so-spiffy outdoor seating because the warming heaters, the fact that dogs are allowed and the hookah make up for it. And of course the beer is good. Very casual place so if you are hanging out in your pjs(don’t), it should be okay. Stars knocked off for iffy-food — could be SO much better. Small vegetarian selection. And the worst was that we got billed twice — lucky me that I caught it on my Amex statement the very next day when checking something else. And it was $ 60!!! The owner was the only one who could fix it, and I had to call twice to be told that he would call and fix it. I finally had to call Amex and take it off. Not cool, dude! Check your statements, past patrons!

I had multiple great times here on a business trip. It’s all about engaging the tenders. :) Thank you all for keeping me company on my trip! :*

I wish the service was a better… inattentive and slow. We would ask for things and they would never show up without many reminders. Better service might make up for the food. Burgers were mediocre. Not impressed with the incredible abilities of the waitresses to avoid eye contact. Huge place, could be something but not even worth coming for small beer list when ordering a drink is so difficult.

One of my worst experience. We were group of 7. We reached there around 1140PM. Service was not fast and we did not care much as it was very late and we were just having good time. Kitchen was closed at 12. We could only get to order one plate of fries which was served very late. We switched table and we accept the delay. Waitress did not know what beer she was serving. At around 130, we asked for the check. We already had one card on Tap and we gave two more cards to split it into 3. We had a different waiter this time and by mistake they took two cards and charged us for different table. We noticed this only on finding the third card that did not belong to us. When we went to counter asking this, waitress charged full amount of our table on the card on Tap. We ended up paying 2⁄3 shares for our neighbor’s table. On top of that, they had extra drinks which we did not order. We made them fix that but they did not understand that we paid our table and extra for other table. I was upset and cancelled the tip on my card. This made them furious and they forced us out of the bar without giving any explanation. We are going to dispute the charge with our credit card company. Be aware of your order and try to get out before the closing time. Outside patio was good and with the kind of weather we enjoyed our time there except for the climax.

Twice charged for a drink I did not receive, it took so long to get I decided to leave. Two days in a row this happened. It’s kind of a dive, lounge, restraunt… but the service is lacking and bartenders get drunk on the job and become forgetfull. There is one waitress who is worth her salt, she has purple hair, not red hair. Purple.

This place has so much potential. In the Bay Area where outdoor dining is sparse due to high cost of land, this place has, what could be, a great space. With the new LinkedIn and Apple buildings, there is no excuse to not be great! The beers are good and the service was good but that’s where the good ends. The food was ok. Happy they have a veggie burger on the menu and a salad can be a side rather than fries. The bread was dry and should be toasted. They do not have iced tea which is crazy since it costs 10 cents a glass to make and can be sold for $ 2. They also don’t have avocado, where again, you could charge extra for it and make money. The patio should be the moneymaker but it is a dump. Mismatched furniture, ripped and faded pillows being used as cushions, tacky Red Bull cocktail tables that were clearly free, all four fire pits are used as ashtrays and the entire place seems put together from Craigslist ‘free’ section. There is nothing inviting that says«come stay a while and spend your money here.» If the owner sees this I would love to help you make this place great!!! I can help with space planning, furniture sourcing and better branding. Please Contact me if you’re interested.

Honestly their food is okay… Not a very big beer selection but the place is nice and they have nice garden outside. The waitress was really nice but the food honestly was ok… We both ordered the burger which was bland and dry.: augh lesson learned

I love the overall vibe of this place! Very chill atmosphere. It’s a hookah lounge as well and the outdoor area is comfortable and the perfect area to be during warm, summer nights! There is a wide selection of beer and from the few I tried, these were my favorite: Shake Chocolate Porter, Big Bear Black Stout, Hopsauce Double IPA. We have had the chicken wings, fries and calamari for appetizers. They are all okay, not amazing but you don’t really go there for the food. It’s mostly for the beer and hookah. Service can be a bit slow sometimes but I think that’s because they can get pretty busy during the weekends. The customer service is okay, nothing special.

I work about a minute away from this place and I had never been inside until last Friday. Some coworkers and I decided to head out there for happy hour so we made a reservation to hold some tables on the patio. As you drive up to the place, it looks like a hole in the wall place that is kind of sketchy when looking at it from the outside. We parked and proceeded to walk inside. I was pleasantly surprised how much nicer it was inside then the outside. Don’t get me wrong, its not a nice fancy bar but its a nice little spot where you would be comfortable enjoying some drinks and good conversation. We went outside and sat down at our table and was quickly greeted by our waitress. The menu has plenty of beer options and they have a full bar so you can order any drink you want. While limited, they had a small food menu which is much like any other bar food menu. I can’t comment on the food as I didn’t eat any but others in my group said it was about standard bar food. Nothing great but par for the course. The patio felt nice and secluded from the outside even though we were right next to a business street. The somewhat tall walls and bushes helped provide some separation from the street and made you forget you were in Sunnyvale by the freeway. Overall, this is a nice little spot to come for drinks with people. I’ll definitely be back there in the future.

My kind of place. Why? Decent selection of European beers & a POOLTABLE. I’m more of a pool minnow than a pool shark, but it never stops me from playing a few games(and at TLBG it’s only $ 1/game). Came here on a Saturday night with my lady. The place was mostly empty, so we sat at the bar, ordered a Porter & Belgian Strong Ale, conversed with a heavily intoxicated regular, and watched some sports highlights(soccer, a huge plus). When the pool table opened up, we swooped in and claimed it for an hour or so. Another patron, visiting from London, joined us for a few games and another drink. A few more people trickled in as it got later, but the bar never got too crowded. Not at all. I like that. I am a little bummed they don’t have darts tho. Seems like a place that would.

Sunnyvale night life is for the most part, not readily available. There is really only one place dt that I’d bother with and the rest are kind of not my scene. I’d heard good things from a number of friends and acquaintances about TL Beer Garden so me and my man finally decided to make an appearance on a Saturday evening when we didn’t have anything specific planned. I can only assume this place is mainly populated for after work beers and happy hour so my first impression was that it seemed to be having a bit of an identity crisis. This place doesn’t seem to know what it wants to be entirely. Dive Bar? Kinda. Beer Garden? Sorta. Hookah Lounge? A little bit. We sat at the bar for a little while ordered up some craft brews and hung out and kind of took the whole place in. For 9:30 pm it was pretty empty with the exception of a few regulars who seemed to have imbibed heavily and worked their way around the place talking to anyone and everyone hanging out. We kept our eyes on the occupied pool table and pounced the second it was free. The table itself is a pay as you go kind of deal, and games were roughly $ 1 each. For ambiance and beer selection it’s like a 3.5 star kinda place in my book. Not too shabbalabby, but I’m not necessarily racing back tomorrow.

This place actually isn’t bad. It opens until 2AM so that is a plus, especially for Sunnyvale where everything closes early. I came here on a Sunday night around 9PM with a few friends and it was mostly empty, few patrons here and there. The employees are friendly and do their job, I wouldn’t say exceptional customer service but definitely A-OK service. We ordered some drinks and then shot some pool. Sure does remind me of my younger days when I shot pool quite often! Kitchen was closed already but there were some items on the food menu that caught my eye. My biggest pro for this place is the music! Their music is awesome, and a refresher since every other place now is playing EDM. Don’t get me wrong, I love EDM, but you really can’t fist pump for that many hours… hehe jokes aside, I’ll be back here again!

To be honest, I didn’t expect a beer garden like this in Sunnyvale since it’s pretty suburban but a friend suggested TL Beer Garden and it was legit. They have a good beer selection, and the waitress helped us decide which beers we wanted for the night. We sampled a few and based on our reactions, she easily picked out a great beer. There’s indoor seating with a pool table and darts, but the real fun is at the outdoor seating, which has hookah set up right next to fire pits on the tables. I’m personally not into hookah, but it was a neat ambience and a great place to sit and chat at night. And to top it all off, it was not even that crowded so we didn’t have to deal with noisy people all about. Five stars, definitely would come again.

Service: 4 stars Ambience: 4 stars Hookah: 2 stars Hookah isn’t really worth it, for 2 people we each spent $ 10, got the mint peach, which was more minty than anything, and the coal was easy-lite. It didn’t start hitting until like 20 minutes in, and we had to sit outside which means no cheerios ;( However, the servers were very friendly and quick. Outside seating was very lively with groups of coworkers taking shots together at 4pm, love it! They have a few good stouts($ 5-$ 7), and the server was happy to let me try a sip of their beers. They also brought out some peanuts– perfect complement to hookah and dark beers: P There is no happy hour, but the prices are decent. Food looks mediocre. Will come back for the pool table or some onion rings.
