Always a good meal at Wahoo’s. I’m in love with everything; burritos, tacos, bowls, salads. My super duper favorite is a Tofu Burrito with tons of veggies and spicy! They do a fantastic job at that :)

Nice place, they’ve got a simple bar, but the Wahoo bowl– oh the Wahoo bowl! Delicious. I got it with shrimp which is absolutely great, but the black beans… eh. They even fix your order & give you an free entrée if they mess up you’re original order, which I thought was very kind of them. I got a fish taco the citrus kind & Wahoo bowl: $ 15.02 Fish taco: amazing! Overall: It’s cheap & good food– can’t go wrong with that Only thing: had a kid sitting few tables down from us. I’m guessing the kid was having a bad day & he made sure to let everyone know!

Traditional Mexican Cuisine at its best. Great easy going place with pleasant lunch/early dinner atmosphere and well balanced value/quality menu. We ordered a plate of soup and wahoo salad, total about $ 13(as of 12⁄2014) Food arrived quick and was up to our gourmet expectations.

Decent food but definitely overpriced. AND they charge extra for steak. How do you charge extra for steak?! The 60 cents extra is not a deal breaker, but at least mention the extra fee before I order the food. When I finally ate the burrito I found out that they are also pretty skimpy on the meat. Long story short. I ordered the Banzai Burrito to go and ended up paying $ 10.42 plus tip. If you’re craving a burrito I’m sure you can find somewhere better and cheaper.

I completely ‘heart’ wahoos tacos. The crunchy cabbage & perfectly grilled fish on a soft, steamy corn tortilla shell is super delish! You just cannot go wrong with their fish tacos. My only suggestion for improvement would be perhaps offering a few more salads and calorically lighter fare. Fresh horchata would be fabu too!

My boyfriend and I decided too come here after seeing it across from the grocery store that we frequent and decided too give it a go! The restaurant was clean and had welcoming décor. It was also very cool inside which was great because it was so hot that day! We ordered the Shrimp Bowls w/Cajun Beans & white rice. Picked a seat and shortly after our food arrived. YUM! I wish I had gone here before! Shrimp was cook PERFECTLY and seasoned very well. The Cajun Beans were fantastic and full of flavor! I can’t wait too go back!

My husband and I wanted to grab a quick lunch during a weekday and Mexican was our choice that day. After browsing through the menu, we ordered an entrée of two enchiladas with grilled chicken. The entrée comes with a choice of white or brown rice and black or brown beans. We picked up our number tag and got seated in one of the tables by the window. Within a few minutes, our plate of enchiladas was served. Quantity was amazing; both of us split the meal and we walked away with a full stomach. And the prices are quite affordable; the entrée was less than $ 8. The waitress checked upon us to make sure we liked our food, and if we needed anything else. Good service and good food. Will certainly return to try their tacos.

I’ve been here enough times now(30+) to warrant a review. I live nearby this location so I guess I am a regular. The food here is pretty decent for a chain restaurant and I don’t get tired of the food, but what makes this restaurant good is the value! The amount of food that you get for the price is excellent! I normally get two tacos with spicy cajun chicken and green sauce. They include fresh salsa as well as a lime on the side for each taco. They pile on the chicken and cabbage and lettuce and even though there are only two tacos, there is actually enough to split each taco into another taco with the extra tortilla(each taco comes with two tortillas) so it feels like you are eating four tacos! Their burritos are pretty big too, and I like ordering the Screamin’ burrito just because I like mushrooms and chicken and spicy goodness. The Wahoo app worked well the first couple times when the app was released early 2014. After that, forget it, it doesn’t work anymore. The phones that you use to scan your Wahoo code don’t work and never records my points each time I buy food. The employees here know it doesn’t work anymore and they still haven’t fixed it. Oh well, time to delete the Wahoo app after my next free taco if I ever get the points lol. Location is pretty good and easy to get to from either 101 or 237. And it is never really too busy here any time of day. Only thing is that it shares a parking lot with a Specialty’s, Fresh & Easy and Peet’s, so the parking lot can get full at lunch and you might have to park in the covered garage which is behind the Specialty’s. Oh, and they have a full bar. =)

While everyone else parties like it’s 1999 for Unilocal’s 10th year, I’ve been given the honor of covering this weekend for work. My office is close to Wahoo’s, and being tired of Specialty’s, I decided to give this place another go. After re-reading my review, I remembered the complex chili sauce here and was excited to have it on a taco. I ordered two tacos with the sauce and was disappointed to find that not only was I charged an extra dollar for it, but it wasn’t on my tacos when I got back to the office. I’d happily pay the dollar for it if I had actually received it, but when it’s not there, it’s just salt on the wound. Two tacos is enough to fill you up and they’re alright. They probably would have been stellar with the sauce. Disappointed but after two mishaps in this establishment and a slew of other reviews facing similar fates, I’m giving up.

Had a very pleasant visit here with my friend. I found the restaurant to be pretty welcoming with the casual skater/surfer theme and the personable servers. There was no wait on a friday early evening. I ordered a nacho starter with all the works and was sure to include jalepenos in my order. It was a little disappointing to have had to remind them about it halfway through eating them, but I didn’t mind too much when she came back with a small heaping bowl of them. My fish and carne asada tacos were delish and so were the nachos. Although I was expecting a more traditional nacho cheese to cover my nachos, the shredded parm was alright too. It just dried way too easily and wasn’t as cheesy as it could’ve been. Will definitely be returning for the good food and good service :)

I really didn’t want to write this review. It’s directed towards the owners of this location who should be ashamed of the dining /drinking experience they provide their customers. They hired the mangers and employees so there is no point on beating up on the employees. If I could have found a spot on your website to provide private feedback, I would have provided it in a more subtle venue. I should add that manager on duty comped me a couple of drinks, but I would have preferred that they team just executed their roles with more passion and competency. Also, the food, as far as the Sunnyvavle staff, could muster was very good. I was hoping when Wahoo’s Sunnyvale opened it would accomplish 2 things. First, provide a decent watering hole for those of in the Lawrence Expressway — Fair Oaks Tasman corridor to frequent. Nicolino’s is gone and Lion & Compass is hardly a low key hang out. Second, I was hoping my wife and I could get decent orders to go and return to our home where we could have a decent meal and a cocktail after a long week of work. So tonight, we visited about 6:00PM and place our order. It appeared the order was recorded properly as the team member read it back to us with perfect accuracy. We sat at the bar to have a cocktail while our order was being processed. The kid at the bar served no less than 5 newer customers before acknowledging us at the bar. Then, we found this whipper was unable to serve a cocktail, a very complex Ketel One on the rocks with 3 olives. He had to rustle up a manger who could do something beyond beer and wine. Very professional. Things went downhill from there as we watched one order after another after another dispatched. When we cornered the manger, we were informed our order to go had been given to someone else. Very thoughtful. So, they recreated the order and comped me the aforementioned drinks. When we got home, we found out they the double meat salad we ordered had exactly the same amount as as the standard salad my wife ordered. They also neglected to add any of the salad dressing we ordered. We had to use what was in our refrigerator. The food we got was very good but, it shouldn’t be that hard to get a to go order with 5 items correctly executed. I want the owners to know that my wife and I have no problem spending $ 80 – 100 a week for a night out at St. John’s, Sunnyvale or Case Lupe, SunnyMount. I had hoped we could do the same at Wahoo’s given their close proximity to our home. We will probably give them one more chance, but I have no reason to be optimistic at this moment. I am happy to provide my contact information if management cares to follow up. James Stout — 408−393−4779 — .

I love this place! Whenever I think fish tacos, I automatically think of wahoos! I’ve been forever searching for a better fish taco, but unfortunately, have had no success. The wet burrito is also amazing… especially with half and half salsa. Wahoos is definitely a favorite.

The way I feel about this Wahoo’s is the same way I feel about all Wahoo’s: food is ok, beer prices are GREAT! To be honest, I only come here for lunch… and only because it’s a decent place to get a good pint of beer and a nice burrito/taco to have a relaxing lunch outdoors during work hours. I almost cried when the Wahoo’s at Santana Row closed. :(There goes our lunch spot! $ 5 pitchers of Blue Moon!!!(Maybe that’s why they closed… haha) Unilocal led me here because reviews said $ 2 beers during Happy Hour and Happy Hour is all day. NOTTRUE. They must have made some changes because as of today, Happy Hour starts at 4pm and there’s different specials everyday(ie. $ 1 PBRs, $ 5PBR pitchers, etc). I ended up getting a pint of Blue Moon anyways because I was in major need of some work stress relief. To my surprise, only $ 3.48! *pinch me, is this real life?* Service was excellent. Very quick, friendly, and attentive. Outdoor seating is a plus, although your view is of the train. 3 stars for the food, but a whole extra star for the beer! #ilovebeer

Wahoo’s has been on my radar ever since Denise L raved about their amazing tacos in her review last year. Well after 7 months, I was tired of that bookmark constantly staring me in the face. So when my buddy who works within walking distance of Wahoo’s wanted to meet up for lunch, guess what place I recommended? TACOS:(4.5 stars) — — — — — — — — — – So we went in and I ordered four tacos: regular chicken, cajun chicken, regular fish and cajun fish, so that I could do a side-by-side comparison. For science. Tacos are $ 2.79 each, which is high even for Silicon Valley standards, but those tacos are loaded to the edge, so the price is almost reasonable. The chicken and fish were equally enjoyable. The ingredients are fresh and you can taste each ingredient distinctly with each bite. That’s one of the marks of a good taco. The cajun sauce added a nice kick but was a little underpowered. Fortunately, the lime wedges served with the tacos helped boost the flavor to the max! SERVICE:(4.5 stars) — — — — — — — — — – Service was genuinely friendly. Every staff member I interacted with seemed to care about making my experience the best it could be. OVERALL:(4 stars) — — — — — — — — — – The tacos were thoroughly enjoyable, but the value didn’t quite cut it for me. After spending over $ 11 plus tax and tip for four tacos and not being full, I decided to cut my losses. I can certainly get full for that price at some other Mexican places. Not to mention, Wahoo’s is missing the free chips and salsa bar that some other places offer. So all that said, I’d place Wahoo’s a step above Baja Fresh and Rubio’s, but overall it’s not my first choice for Mexican.

I love that this place serves fish taco! Not many places here serve fish tacos and it is my absolute favourite. That said, the fish taco is pretty good. I love both the grilled and cajun fish tacos :) The guacamole here is also fairly decent. I usually do takeout here so I’m not sure about the atmosphere inside. Definitely recommend!

I was rolling my Work Whip down Tasman and then I spotted Wahoos Tacos. I made a quick right turn and then I pimp slided my Whip into a Parking spot. I street Hiked into Wahoos and walked up to the front Counter. I perused the Menu and decided on the Kahuna Combo. I went with the Carne Asada Taquitos and the Fish Enchilada. I also got the Black Bean and Refried Bean Combo with Brown Rice and a large Soda. I paid by Discover Card, Grabbed my number and my Drink Cup and rolled to my table. Wahoos has a self serve soda fountain. So I rolled up and filled up my Glass with Mug Root beer and Chilled out . Wahoos has a Casual X Games/Surfer type Décor. They have LCD TVs tuned to ESPN for entertainment. The Restrooms are cleaned every 20 Minutes and are decorated with surf posters . My Kahuna Combo arrived with Fresh Guacamole and Sour Cream. The Taquitos were Crisp and Meaty and very Tasty with the Guacamole and Sour Cream. The Fish Enchilada was excellent. The Rice and Beans were Fresh and Tasty. The Kahuna Combo is very filling . I had a good Dining experience at Wahoos. The Service was good and cheerful. Their Grand Opening is 2÷7÷13.

Yummy, fast, and only one $. Score! I arrive, order, and leave happily with my food in under 10 minutes — for under $ 10. And with all that, can you believe the ingredients are super fresh and the customer service really awesome? Welcome to Sunnyvale, Wahoo’s! So glad that this restaurant moved into the complex by Specialty’s, Peet’s, Fresh & Easy, all conveniently located by the Fair Oaks VTA station. THEUPSIDE: — — — — — — - + As soon as you enter, cashiers greet you with a smile and are ready to take your order. + The food is quick to arrive, whether eating in or taking out. + Servers bring your food to you and check on you periodically, which is pretty cool and definitely unexpected for a casual dining restaurant. + Tasty and fresh food! I already have an obsession with the fish tacos. This must be the first HEALTHY obsession I’ve ever had. Plenty of fresh tilapia, cabbage, mild salsa, and tasty cilantro-based green sauce. The tortillas are just right — not too doughy, not too thin. The salsa can be a little spicy, so I usually ask to have it on the side. THEDOWNSIDE: — — — — — — — — — Since Wahoo’s is skater(sk8er) themed, the atmosphere is set up as such… including the décor and TV programs. I would much rather watch some good ol’ American football while I’m enjoying my fish tacos and beer! TIP: Wahoo’s is perfect if you like it quick and easy! Don’t pretend like you don’t… you know who you are! LoL

So happy they opened one nearby me now! Their menu doesn’t exactly have much, but their options are so good! I prefer the wet outer reef burrito. When I say«wet» I mean you can have the option of having enchilada sauce over your burrito for $ 1 more(mild, green sauce, and something else). Everything under $ 10 and super friendly service! Guacamole and sour cream also $ 1 more, but it’s better to walking to fresh and easy first so you can add in as much guacamole or sour cream as you want. What I also love about this place too is that they open until 10:30PM on most nights which is good for people who get off work after 8PM or 9PM! You also have the option to choose between black beans/pinto and white or brown rice. Brown rice is if I can remember 50 cents extra. cards accepted!

Solid 4 stars. Nicolas, Victor and the rest of the staff provided great service. They went beyond what I would expect out of a «fast casual» restaurant. I ordered the Wahoo salad with fish(spicy). The salad was good with generous amounts of guac. but the fish was a bit dry. The chips and salsa were good. The tomatoes were fresh. they even came by asking if I wanted a refill on the salsa! Kids chicken and fish rice/beans bowl were huge. The restaurant is located in the new Fresh n Easy plaza off Tasman and Fair Oaks. I will definitely be back

Ever since the Santana Row location closed, I’ve been waiting for this location to open. Then at last today, I heard the amazing news that it finally opened! After hearing about it being open, Lucy and i rushed to Wahoo’s to grab some tacos for dinner since we were so excited! I ordered the usual 3 shrimp tacos. It took about 5 – 7 minutes for the food to be ready and brought out to us by the lovely staff members. The food was just like it was at the Santana Row location. Nice plump shrimp with fresh salsa and cabbage on the tacos(with the addition of all the tabasco sauce that I put on it!) Though Wahoo’s has changed locations, I feel like the quality of their food, the friendliness of their staff and ambience of their restaurant still stayed the same. I can’t wait to get more and more shrimp tacos from my favorite restaurant! PS: Millionaire girls would like to say hello! :P
