Great range of food here and the guy that runs it is friendly and gives great service. Most days there’s around 6 – 8 Italian, Greek, Indian and Vego dishes to choose from. The Chicken Marsala(w/rice n vegies) is awesome as is the Greek Meatballs and all meals I’ve had come with soup and bread included. More flavour and less salt than all the standard kebab/curry/subway places up the road on Java at around $ 8-$ 9 per dish. Haven’t tried anything made to order yet but would expect it to be the same high standard as the rest. Check for open hours during holiday season as its a 1 – 2 man gig and he takes holidays like you and I on occasion. Has indoor and outdoor seating options and is never busy or noisy.

Just an average corporate Café that’s open to public. I came here after reading these glowing Unilocal reviews. But end of the day, I could have had this average food at my own Café and saved myself a ten min drive. I’d you happen to be in the area, then better walk or drive a block to Java road and there is a complex with five Or six restaurants/cafes.

The cook/owner is a true cook. He asked me what I wanted. I told him omelet with eggs, ham, and mushrooms and spinach. He said he’s not sure if he has spinach and will add it if he finds some. And asked if I wanted potatoes. Bit later comes out this awesome tasting omelet! It’s a bit hard to find, especially since Google Maps doesn’t list it. Look around at the other end of the building. And you will be glad you did. I definitely was.

Thanks Unilocal!would never had known about this place otherwise. This place is the definition of hard-to-find but well worth it. A Spirent cafeteria(the employees wear Spirent badges) it appears to be open to the public. Just drive around the Spirent building until you see the green umbrellas outside. The«ambiance» is 100% «company cafeteria» but the food is definitely worth the trip. The menu appears the change daily. On my first visit I had the chicken parmesan. The carrot/greenbean medley with dill and was so good I finished it before even trying the chicken(and I’m a devout carnivore). The navy bean soup was also very good. I’d be content with a bowl of that soup and their garlic bread. The chicken parm was served with buttered linguini and was quite good. Plenty of food and $ 10.75, including bottle drink from the cooler. For close-by, work-week food, 5 stars!

TLC Café is a little place with good food at decent prices. It was a little tricky to find, located in the back of the Spirent building on the corner of Borregas Ave and Caspian Ct. There is a good selection of breakfast and lunch items, with specials that change daily. As other reviewers have noted, I also received a free cup of soup with my lunch ordered to go. The décor leaves something to be desired, but the food is well worth a visit. The main draw for me was that it is walking distance from my office.

A great little find. Good Sandwiches, soups, salads and burgers and daily specials that range from Tandoori chicken to Spanakopita. The owner is a gregarious Greek. Regulars will walk away with a free soup or cookie. The Turkey burger and the salmon burger are a great low fat alternative. All of his stuff is homemade by him and one trusty Mexican helper. Yesterdays short ribs with mashed potatoes looked divine but I opted for my olé fav the Turkey burger.

Great food cooked by a great guy and the prices are unbeatable. Try his daily soups! Today, after breakfast, he had me try his soup of the day for free and then me a little cup to go… and it was a super yummy bacon chowder. I will be back…

If you work nearby, this is a convenient, affordable, and tasty(most of the time) place to eat at. I work about 2 blocks from this place and its my go to place for lunch when I’ve run out of ideas. This place serves home style meals and never fails to rotate its menu everyday. So if you’re bored eating the same tuna sandwich, give this place a try. The meals are filling and priced between $ 6 – 8! Also, the owner is very nice and usually gives out free soup/dessert to regular customers. Like me.

Thank you, Unilocal, for alerting me to this place. I work right down the street, and I was looking for something close by for a lunch date with the girl, and I came across TLC Café. Let me tell you, it’s way better than the alternatives within walking distance around here. As mentioned in other reviews, the prices are very reasonable. GF had the bacon cheeseburger for around $ 4, and I had the BBQ beef sandwich special for about $ 6. Both came with a big side of fries and were very good. What was really nice was that the owner gave us free cups of the soup of the day, saying, «Try the soup I made today, you’ll love it.» The soup was a thick chicken noodle, and he was right, we did love it. It was a very nice gesture and pretty much ensured that I’ll be returning there.

What a wonderful food… The chief is Greek and he knows what is a good food. My favorites there are«Chicken picata» and«Pepper beef», but you could not be wrong with other first stand plates(the place also suggest some simple plates as «Chinese Chicken Salad» or «Tuna Salad» for the fast food goers). The special treat is the cup of hearty soup included in the lunch. Not many places could boast about it. There are also perfect desert choices. You may order the special cake for your special occasion. The prices are very decent. Highly recommended place.

Small little business complex café serving breakfast and lunch items. Sandwiches, soups, salads and burgers round out the selections. There’s not a whole lot of food in the area so this is one of the few walking distance options in the area. The crazy thing is the most expensive item is 4.50. Good convenience and budget factor when you can’t get away too far or are short on time,
