Love this place! Nice, relaxed atmosphere. Great wine variety, of course, and they also have some surprisingly good beer on-tap/bottle. On the menu, my favorite is the Brie fig prosciutto panini. But then, I do have a helluva sweet tooth! They’ll put sundried tomato on the ham&brie panini upon request also, and it’s soooo good! If you prefer«quieter» sports bars, this place has a couple of big TVs and(in my experience) are happy to change the channel to catch the game, if you ask nicely. Highly recommend, but call ahead for 4+ in the evenings.

Really like this place. Great date spot, dark atmosphere, easy reservations through Unilocal, good service, nice selection of small bites. The main hostess is attentive and has good suggestions. Misses: No place to hang coats, gets noisy, and one of my waitresses wasn’t 21 so had no idea what wines to recommend. A few lower tables vs. all high-tops would also be nice.

I’m giving 3 stars to this place becuase my wife and I came out of the place smelling like grease from the panini press. We went in to enjoy some wine, but you could’nt, the odor of the toasted bread and grease is all you smell. When you enjoy wine you want to do it with your mouth and nose and that is not possible at this place. The service was ok, but the music was horrible, not enjoyable at all. Overall is not a bad place, but they need to do something about the smell. I relly recommend the San Jose location instead.

I’ve been here three times now and have always enjoyed myself. The wine on tap concept is, as other reviewers have noted, sometimes great and sometimes just ok. But I’ve never had a terrible wine here. The bruschetta is FANTASTIC — fresh, a generous portion size, and wonderful flavor. Thank you for adding some much needed style to our Sunnyvale downtown!

The chocolate truffle desert is AMAZING!(with some wine of course) If you want a chill place to have a small gathering or a place to have a fun somewhat romantic desert/drink this is a great place! My wife even had her bachelorette party here, the staff did a great job and she has nothing but great things to say about it. My wife and I have been to this place a couple of times. The staff is very fun and knowledgeable about their wine. They have great wines and are more than willing to give you suggestions or even sometimes samples if you are really torn between a couple of options. The entrée and appetizer options are a bit small for me if I’m actually hungry and not just looking for something to pair with a glass of great wine.

Very friendly service, good food, good wine, and good beer. We wandered in late one night after almost every other dining option on Murphy had closed for the night and were delighted to find that the kitchen was not only still open but served some really satisfying food.

This place is super cute! Located right next to the Sunnyvale CalTrain it’s really convenient for an after work drink. It’s at the very end of Murphy street and on a Friday night we were able to get a table right away. The place is cute on the inside with a low key vibe. I felt as though their wine pour was a bit short, my glass was not full. They have a really large wine list and their descriptions of the flavors are verbose and tell you exactly what to expect with every glass. I’m not sure if this makes it easier or more difficult to choose a wine. The food is fairly cheap, though the portions aren’t very big. We got the bruschetta which was really fresh, but could have used a pinch of salt. I would come back here to relax and enjoy a glass of wine.

After my first review, the co-owner persuaded me to go back for another try. Andrew was our server this time. He was great to talk to, very knowledgeable about the wines, and matched me with a bold red blend that I loved. I tasted a few reds on tap before deciding on the Alpha Red. Last time I only tried the Chardonnay on tap and wasn’t impressed, but the red selection is quite good. In addition to the Alpha, the Lost Weekend(Sangiovese/Merlot blend) from Santa Cruz was a hit. I also had some lighter, crisp wines that were good, but less my style. For food, we tried the Brie Fig Prosciutto Crostini, Grilled Truffle Cheese Panini, and Chicken Pesto Panini. Everything was good, but nothing was in-your-face delicious. The flavors felt muted and were missing depth. For the service, ambiance, and wine, Vino Vino is 5 stars for me. The food is a 3, but as the focus is a wine bar, this didn’t detract from my experience. I would recommend Vino Vino as casual hangout spot for good wine.

Poor Customer Service. A group of friends and I went there after work on a Friday night, 6 of us in total. When we got there, we were not greeted and had to ask about seating. Since we were a group and they had mainly 2 person tables available they said we could have a seat in a corner area. At first it seemed like that area would work ok. Then we sat down, and after 10 – 15 minutes we were not paid any attention to nor were menus brought to us. Finally, my friends and I left and went next door to spend our money.

The place has a dark brick stylish trendy atmosphere. The cheese meat platter is a nice plate to munch. I especially like Brie. The meat is okay. The wine selection on tap rotates so sometimes it is good and sometimes only okay. The service here is friendly and staff knows their wine. Overall this is my favorite place in Sunnyvale.

This place was amazing, your server Melissa was perfection from letting us test wines to suggestions to helping us with menu options and even splitting 3 Panini’s so all three of us could try a slice! We got the Italian, Brie and salmon… all three were amazing… my fav was the Brie my friends favs the Brie and Italian. We then shared the Nutella pbj with strawberries. Everything was amazing… the bathroom setup was a little odd but it’s all about the grub and vino. oh ya the vino lol we all had the lost weekend blend and it was awesome.

Finally a place worth visiting in downtown Sunnyvale! I love love love Vino Vino :) Awesome cheese and charcuterie plate. Great appetizers. Lovely selection of wine on tap. Wine flight was very affordable. Ambience was perfect for date night or a girls night out with not too loud music, attentive bartender and a romantic/cosy vibe. Would definitely come back here again!

Awesome place to meet up for Happy Hour if you love wine. Many selections to choose from in both bottle and glass form. It’s $ 1 off tap wines during HH and there are $ 5 appetizer selections. The food is well-made and compliments the drinks offered. We had a chicken salad and also a bread, cheese, and meat plate. All of it was nicely and promptly presented. Service is quick, and the place is located on Murphy Street with both outdoor seating(if you like to people watch) and indoor tables with stools. Will definitely be back!

Interesting corner spot on the edge of Murphy ave in downtown Sunnyvale. A fairly deep space and some outside seating. Decided to get some dessert and a port on a lazy day. I like they focus on local wines and the port in question was from Hollister. Not super deep as a Portuguese classic but still decently tasty. Probably come back for a later night of more traditional wine tasting

Went here last week for drinks with a friend! We got a flight of wine, 2 whites and 2 reds. The bartender, Andrew, was super friendly and nice! The wine selections on tap was superb! The ambiance is a little on the classier side for Sunnyvale. Some were dressed in heels and suits, but there were some in jeans and flip flops! It seems like wine bars are popping up everywhere! Good experience for my first visit at a wine bar!(The have some beer too for the non-wine drinkers!)

I was SO impressed with Vino Vino when I came here with friends last week. We came for their happy hour(weekdays, 4−6pm) and you get pretty much $ 1 off on tap wines and $ 5 appetizers. We each ordered wine on tap(they had a GREAT selection and all of the wines were delicious). I’m particularly indecisive about wine, and our server let me try the wines I was choosing between which was really kind of her. Good customer service. :) We also ordered the burrata, a cheese plate and the bruschetta. All of them were amazing, and I’d highly recommend them. This is such a great spot to catch up with girlfriends or for a cute happy hour date. Highly recommend!

I just want to give a big, warm, thank you to the Sunnyvale powers that be for finally opening a hip wine bar. There is absolutely nothing I love more than a mellow place to experience some fermented grapey-goodness and for YEARS Sunnyvale has been missing just that. If I didn’t live around the corner I probably wouldn’t have cared but the closet place to grab a decent glass of wine(without the obligation of ordering at a full service restaurant) was at the very least 15 – 20 minutes away in either direction(mountain view + campbell I’m looking at you!). Vino Vino hasn’t been open for very long at this point but the wine they have on tap is yummy, the prices are right and the olives are delicious. Service was a little spotty but since they’ve only been open a few days I know everyone is just starting to get the hang of things. I can’t wait to go back for my next girls night out, because I get the feeling that things are only going to improve!

Have been waiting for a decent wine bar on Murphy’s street. Love walking to the downtown area and grabbing a glass of wine, looking froward to do it here more often. Place just open and there’s still many things that they are working to get in the flow of things. Prices per glass start at $ 8 and there’s about 8 red options and 6 white options. There’s about 30 additional full bottle options. Plenty of variety for the wine lover. Food is served tapas style. Lots of small bites and nibble type of food.

This place finally opened! I’m so glad we have a nice casual wine bar in downtown. I came last night after getting some drinks at the IC Lounge and my experience was a good one. As I walked in, I noticed the dim lighting, groups of adults just laughing away and having a good time. There were guys sitting at the bar watching some NBA highlights, high tables in dark corners with people having intimate conversations, etc. The menu includes wine & food which contains affordable & good quality appetizers/bites. Glasses start at $ 8.5 while the carafes start around $ 25. They have reds, whites, and sparkling wines. I had a glass of Pinot Noir from Santa Cruz which was a bit too young of a glass for me; the sour after taste, harsh bite, and intense flush. I thought it was a bit too strong on the buds but it was decent. I noticed their wines were from the local area such as Santa Cruz & Los Gatos. Rarely did I see any Napa or wine country areas from the valley. Me and my friend ordered their meat and cheese assortments with slices of toasted bread. It’s $ 16 for two selections of cheeses and two selections of their meats. In this case we had Pecorino Romano and Wookey Cheddar. Our meats were Proscuitto di Parma and hot sopressata. Overall their board was a bit tiny; cutting board size with tiny pieces of cheese and meats. I think they should add more portions to their dishes; larger slices of each selection. This place is excellent for groups! They serve flights here which is perfect for pairing and variety. I think it’d be fun to go with friends and just load up on all these wines and just tasting them while a huge platter of meats & cheeses sits on the middle of the table. I only saw one lady hosting and serving around the area which looked like there should’ve been another one because it got busy. So far I’m digging the vibe here with the mid-tone atmosphere and dark lighting to provide a better experience while sipping. Overall this wine bar is awesome. It’s not what I expected to be honest but it works. It’s a laid back, casual tasting wine bar which doesn’t require dressing up. It’s like a wine dive bar! I’m definitely coming back to sip more and just enjoy the comfort of being close to home. Love the idea of this being here! Huge s/o to my boy Andrew! He’s the head bartender here and has knowledge of his wine and the culture about Vino Vino. He’s friendly, helpful, efficient, and has great customer service. If you have any questions, you can ask him or any of their servers who are willing to help.
