Not a big fan of this location, the customer service is not that great! They always look you up and down before you even request a table. Food not fresh, got sick twice right after eating here

Let me just start off by saying I may be a lil bias. It’s just I love their mussels! The mussels are tossed in this garlic, tomato, red onion wine sauce which is so tasty(as my mouth waters as I type) and served with a bread for dipping. I’ve also tried the oysters raw and Rockefeller style, I still prefer them raw! I’ve ordered the rib-eye steak medium and it was just a steak. I’ve made a better steak at home(I think I’m an amateur chef lol). The crème brûlée was greatness with the whip cream and berries on top. They have this Jamaican coconut pie with a rum sauce that I promised I must try the next time I go. Customer service is about average. I don’t feel like they go above and beyond. They’re there to work and that what they do, no extra effort. I typically go on a Saturday around lunch time and it’s never to busy which is perfect!

We always like coming to Bonefish. The food predictable but not the experience. That’s because we always try to sit at a high top or the bar and you never know who your going to meet. Last night was no exception. Will keep coming back.

This restaurant location is consistently good and I think it has improved a notch. Competition is very tough in the restaurant business and the snowbirds have left. We had the haddock special, Spicy tuna bowl, caesar salad and the macaroni and cheese. All the meals were great. The only reason that I didn’t give it 5 stars is that my first cup of coffee seemed old and we had to ask why we didn’t receive our bread. The staff tried to check with us afterwards to be sure everything was ok. I think the online reservation is excellent because in the past, I had a difficult time making phone reservations.

The wait staff is young with a slight attitude if asked to wait for an order… our server Brian redeemed himself with the suggestion of the coconut cream pie, which is a slice of heaven dipped in rum sauce!!! The kind of yummy that causes one to close their eyes and be transported from the day good!!! Screw the diet, have the pie!

Still bad. My mom wanted to come again; I don’t know why. Ordered a steak with broccoli and smashed potatoes. Broccoli tasted like it was frozen then microwaved. The smashed sweet potatoes were nearly soup. The medium well steak bled all over my plate(I.e., rare/medium rare). No Bueno.

Customer service STINKS here and reservations made hours in advance are NEVER honored at this Bonefish! The food is here is OK, but nothing special. It’s a typical chain so expect it to be well ordinary seafood from your local Bonefish. However, I write this post as I made a reservation at 6:00PM, for 2 people at 7:15PM on 3÷26÷16. I have made reservations here before at thisBonefish and unfortunately when I got there I had to wait on more than one occasion to be seated. Like 30 to 40 minutes waited? I thought after many months of not visiting this Bonefish local I would give them another shot. I was so wrong. I got there and had to promptly wait 20 minutes. I made a reservation at 6:00PM for 7:15PM and I still have to wait. I ask myself, why have the ability then to make a reservation when this place never actually honors it?!? Already ticked off after twenty minutes of waiting for a reservation at 7:15, 7:35PM rolls around and our buzzer goes off. We get led to our table by what appeared to be one if the managers there and as he is leading us to the table, one of the first five words is SORRY about our seating arrangements for the evening!!! AREYOUKIDDING I thought to myself. Here we make reservations at this place, they were not honored, nor were they honored in the past, had to wait twenty minutes, and you are telling us now SORRY about clearly the make shift table set up for two crammed in the middle of this noisy restaurant. Luckily, my very wonderful and smart fiancé turned me right around as we were making our approach to the table and we walked out. In conclusion, save your money at this place. The food is average at best, they clearly are deceitful here when it comes to honoring your reservations, there drinks are so-so, and yes I have had them in the past. But this establishment has by far some if the worst customer service in the area. I just wanted a nice meal of seafood and veggies and instead got crapped on again. Thanks a lot Bonefish of Plantation! I hope people really take my review into consideration next time they choose to dine here. Seriously, definitely reconsider if its a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday night. They wont honor your reservation and they really could care less about you, the paying or in my case was going to pay customer!

On Valentine’s weekend– the night b4 Valentine’s Day– the atmosphere here was chaotic with service and food that did not meet expectations. Excuses, excuses starting with why I wasn’t greeted. Had to reach down the bar to get our own menus before that, then the dishes weren’t cleared and no one asked how the food was. A highpoint was bread service came with BOTH butter and Olive Oil and that beverages were delivered as ordered. Service was much like no service. I am glad Valentine’s chaos is over with so that we can go back here to see what the«real deal» is at this Plantstion, Florida Bonefish Grill.

I come to this Bonefish not for the booze, but for the loose women. Just kidding, nobody’s getting any tail at this place. Everybody at the bar is over the hill or standing on it. It’s a chain, so the only logical reason you’re even reading this review is to see if there are any skeletons in their closet. Fact: This place used to be unable to serve alcohol to patrons seated outside – not because of cirrhosis of the liver but because of blah-blah-blah with the city. Waitresses would sometimes turn a blind eye if you purchased a drink at the bar and snuck outside because that’s what liberty means. Let me tell you a little something about America. This was a country founded by men who gave little concern to authority. I bet American Patriotism was the last thing you expected from a Bonefish review. *skaaaaaawwww(eagle sounds!)* White wines pair spectacularly with the Rainbow Trout. Choose the lemon butter because that’s what bald f**kin eagles do! Chilean seabass is good too but I’m not convinced it’s worth its over-fished price tag. The steak is an excellent option for the wiseguy who goes to a fish joint and orders beef. Their steaks are really, really good. They could be a little thicker and charge whatever they want, they’re that good. Alcohol served outside is crucial to the lifeblood of any restaurant chain. Without it, a place can never live up to its full potential! Tonight was a prime example – I witnessed a man pick up a woman in front of her mother. After being shut down several times and offering a rebuttal to each of her declining statements. As the last act of a desperate man, he zeroed in on the fact it’s 2016 and most people have cell phones and email addresses, and, despite her best attempt to dissuade him, he would not be fooled in believe she had neither. Smart man. That number’s probably not real though. I don’t always evesdrop… or write ridiculous Unilocal reviews on places people have been to 1000 times… but when I do… it’s because I’m bored and sober and have been waiting for 45 minutes to be served. *skawwwwwwwwwwwwww

I keep giving these restaurants 4 stars; I’m nuts. Actually the food is real good– at lunch anyway: wonderful bread to start with pesto oil, fish tacos– giant style, filet mignon tacos– giant style. accompanied by couscous with pesto, French fries; a beer and a glass of conundrum red. Very filling; very tasty. I’ll be back after shopping at Sawgrass Mills the next time. BTW worth the 4 stars and the service was good too.

9÷13÷15 — I’ve been here before, quite a few times. Happy Hour with the girls, birthday celebration with friends and it has always been consistent. We usually sit at the bar. This time was an early dinner around 5pm. We were seated in the main dining room. I like the ambience of this place, the lights are dim, it is very relaxing. Our server Chuck, was very friendly, attentive and polite. We ordered 2 appetizers to begin. The Ceviche, Chilled bay scallops, marinated shrimp, fish, fresh pineapple, coconut, cilantro and guacamole, seasoned crisps for dipping & The Thai Coconut Shrimp, 6 jumbos + sweet spicy sauce. Both these plates are big enough. The shrimp are JUMBO, and they are delicious. The Ceviche was perfectly marinated. Big chunks of fish, scallops and shrimp. We opted for another appetizer instead of dinner entrée. We ordered the Wagyu Beef & Ginger Potstickers, Pan-seared with crispy onions, Thai peppers + soy sauce. This dish was beautifully prepared, but it was a bit salty for my taste. I only ate 2 before giving up. Chuck came by with a list of desserts but we were stuffed. Overall, it was a great dining experience. The staff is always friendly which is always a plus. You always feel welcome here.

Today was my first time eating here. I decided to try a restaurant I’ve never been to for my birthday. I made a reservation online, it seemed like the hostess didn’t know what she was doing. I had to repeat my name three times, then she asked me my last name. Anyway, we ordered the a Bang Bang Shrimp as an appetizer. It wasn’t very«bang bang» so my dad says. It lacked spice, but I enjoyed the few I had. I ordered the Fontina Chop with the Truffle Mac&Cheese which is a signature side. I enjoyed the ciabatta with oil and herbs. It was great. When my food came the presentation was nice. I didn’t care for the pork chop. The flavoring was a little too sweet for my taste, but it was cooked perfectly. The mac & cheese was amazing! Very creamy, I loved the mushrooms in it. It was a large serving, I had more than enough to take some home. Overall I enjoyed my experience, and my food. My server was very attentive and nice.

The service and food today was fantastic! Made a reservation ahead of time to ensure that we didn’t wait too long to get seated as this location is sometimes busier at dinnertime. The manager personally sat us and gave us his name which I thought was impressive. Our server was extremely friendly and catered to every request, even for extra extra lemons and consistent water refills. Their bang bang shrimp is an obvious staple(especially on Wednesdays). For a dinner option I recommend that you get them as a meal… in the tacos! BOOM! We had the tomato avocado panzanella salad as an appetizer which is a summer salad option. I was sad to find out they didn’t have their tomato, feta, and basil salad option anymore but I have a feeling if requested they could pull it off. I had a chef special for dinner. It was their day boat scallops with corn bacon risotto and zucchini«fries». The meal was beyond DELICIOUS and would definitely order it again. Overall, the service and food hit all the important marks this evening!

Bang bang into your heart… Bonefish Grill is known for its delicious spicy shrimp appetizer but the menu has a wide section of meats and seafood options as well. This location is nicely staffed and has a full bar with two large TV screens for your viewing pleasure. I went on a rainy Monday night so it wasn’t very busy. We got seated as soon as a booth was cleaned up. Our waiter was patient and let us take our time ordering. We had Bang Bang Shrimp to start. My mom had the Oscar’s style Chilean sea bass and and I had the 6 Oz filet mignon. We also love love love the bread and pesto olive oil they provide. The bang bang shrimp has a hit of a kick to it. It’s lightly breaded and saucy. Try it with the salad at the bottom for an extra refreshing taste. The sea bass came with lump crab on top and asparagus. It was $ 32.50. The bass was a big portion but the crab on top was just what few tiny pieces. The filet was nicely seasoned and medium rare exactly how I wanted. The garlic whipped potatoes are heavenly. Not too bad for a chain restaurant.

I used to go to Bonefish a few times a week when it was at the Fashion Mall. The staff and food were always on point. I had a great server I always asked for who even walked me to the bathroom and to the table because the floors were so slick there that many people fell including a friend of mine. There was a lot of litigation happening and then with the impending closing of the mall they moved to their current location, which is nice but parking is a pain so I don’t go nearly as often. They recently promoted a $ 10 gift card on their website and I was craving Bang Bang Shrimp so the boyfriend and I made a last minute reservation. Parking on a Tuesday was still a pain but we were promptly seated in a nice, big booth. We ordered the shrimp and tried the BlackBerry Sangria and White Mango Sangria. Both were delicious and it’s hard to say which one I liked better. The red was a little sweet and the white was super refreshing. I wish my sangria at home would turn out so good! By the time we finished the shrimp, I was full so I ordered a bowl of the Lump Crab Corn Chowder($ 7). The boyfriend opted for the Mahi Tacos. The soup was as good as I remembered but it was in a very shallow bowl so I felt like $ 7 was a little pricey. Although I make homemade soups at home all the time and know the time and effort that goes into it… The cup was listed at $ 6.20 so for 80 cents the bowl is a no brainer but maybe a cup is more like a thimble??? The boyfriend said the tacos were«okay». They had more toppings than fish so that overpowered everything. He said the mango salsa was good, the lime cream sauce was too but that it had too much going on between spice, sweet, and savory. He wished they would have just tried to pick one direction and done it well rather than mix too many things. I was disappointed that they were chincey with the fish– after all it is called BoneFISH! The service was good. The Bang Bang Shrimp was top notch as always. Maybe 5 stars if the tacos had been better…

I’ve been to this Bonefish location about 6 times since it opened. I’ve enjoyed the food so why don’t I eat here more often? Here’s why: 1. This chain restaurant is heavy-handed with it’s use of fats and salt in most of their food. They take something as healthy as fish and batter/fry or smoother it in a fatty sauce. If that’s the preparation, I might as well order unhealthy food to start! Their fried calamari appetizer is good — and knowing it’s fried when we order it puts the responsibility on us. But what about a grilled fillet that tastes and looks like it was heavily brushed with oil, or the the tuna tataki drizzled with mayonnaise-based sauce, or the«fresh» veggies coated in fat after being steamed? 2. There are no busers so the servers make food recommendations, refill beverages, clean the table of each course’s dishes, and help kitchen runners deliver the food. The waitstaff have several tables so this extra responsibility dilutes their effectiveness and ability to quickly tend to the guests. Today we took matters into our own hands! We ordered food with sauces on the side or not at all. We ordered protein and veggies — but sadly hubby’s grilled fish was oil-coated and his spaghetti squash was finished with what appeared to be oil and Parmesan cheese so it was nearly congestive when we ate it. He ordered the green beans steamed only but they were overcooked. I ordered the appetizer of NY strip sliced thinly with pepper and the sauce on the side that I didn’t taste. The steak was likely about 4 ounces and was served with a honking piece of solid, white fat that really should have been removed before plating. It was very tasty and I couldn’t finish it because I ordered a house salad with dressing on the side, which I didn’t use. I also had some of the ahi tuna tataki appetizer that was great because it was cold and didn’t have sauce on it. I had some of the Mussels Josephine but none of the sauce and it was delicious, along with the fresh tomato garnish. Our server was great, despite handling several tables and having to do nearly everything by himself. We did sit with a platter of mussel shells and spent dishes, but given how Bonefish runs it’s business that’s not his fault. If the food was prepared in a healthier way, like many seafood/fish restaurants that know their customers want to taste fish and not breading and fatty sauces(bang bang shrimp, indeed), and if they staffed busers to enhance their customers’ experience I’d give it a solid 4. Even so, I will likely return and edit their dishes to my dietary interests and recognize that if I don’t go on off hours I will have to endure delayed service.
