We usually come over for Dim Sum twice a month. I must tell you that the selection is always up to par, however, the 3 stars this time is based on service. They need additional staff, and attention to detail.

First off, Im only giving this restaurant 2 stars. This is mainly because I actually liked the food. I honestly would give this place 1 star because of the way we were treated. One lady was so rude and unbelievably asked for more tip. We tip based on our service and this place does not give good service. We came for dimsum but trust me I will never come back to this place. Bad first impression, bad customer service. Im done with this place.

It is rare finding a dim sum place here in south Florida, and when you finally find an authentic dim sum restaurant, the service is horrendous! We really can’t have the best of both worlds… This is the first time I’m eating in this dim sum place, but the service from the servers are horrible except for one of the older ladies who pushes the cart around. There’s one server that especially stand out have a nasty ass face! She’s got a face FULL of attitude and rolls her eyes left and right at the clients. She’s the one with short hair and green highlights in the front. She stands around the restaurant doing nothing, eating sh*t and came to my table in the end dared to ask for 15% gratuity! I don’t understand… does she not know the kind of face she gives the customers? How DARE she come and have the face to ask for tips? I would LOVE to give all of that 15% to that one older lady who pushes the cart. She makes us feel welcomed and recommends food very well. But that f*ing b*tch, I CANNOT stand her. The mere sight of her makes me loose my appetite. I would give more stars because the food ISGOOD! But the service needs a tremendous improvement. As good as the food is, but if I can’t enjoy them, then it really does no good for me. Service is everything! I really hope the manager, better yet, the restaurant owner would so something about that!

Since moving to Asia from the United States, my taste for dim sum has become increasingly more critical. What used to be «good dim sum» for me simply didn’t make the cut anymore, especially from my hometown area, Tampa Bay. That’s why when I was last in South Florida looking for something to grab for lunch, dim sum wasn’t very high on my list of things to seek. I’m glad we gave this place a try though! Definitely exceeded my expectations. We came in on a Sunday afternoon for a party of two and we were seated immediately, which was a surprise to me. The carts on this day(not sure if it’s like this every day or not), came in waves just like they did In Hong Kong – a steamed cart, a fried cart, a viand cart. A person toting desserts did come through as well. We ordered the following: 1) Hakaw: great from the steam cart! The shrimp inside was meaty with minimal filling and the wrapper seemed fresh as well. 2) Siomai – I’ve had more flavorful fillings of this pork dumpling but it came with 4 pieces that were larger than normal, which I appreciated and there was definitely more pork with filling. 3) Pine nut-pork dumpling with scallions: this one was above expectations. Great contrast of the crunch of the nuts with the savory, soft meat filling. The scallions added a nice extra kick. 4) Sticky rice: this was probably the least favorite thing we had. The rice was glutinous but not moist, which we found odd. The filling wasn’t very flavorful either and didn’t seem to be spread out consistently through the heart of the dish. 5) Fried taro balls: this was our favorite one! The taro was extremely savory and had a great, smooth texture. It also tasted extremely fresh. 6) Salt and Pepper Calamari: this was great! The calamari was meaty and freshly breaded. The spices that came with it as well were also pretty good, but I wish that it came with a bit more of it to have a more flavorful overall dish. The total for all of our food, including tax, came under $ 30. If anything, the fried cart was consistently being hounded by the full restaurant. It was hard to get some of the dishes, especially the taro balls and egg tarts(which we didn’t even end up getting). It also seemed to wear on the server.

This is the main dim sum restaurant I go to every time I visit family in South Florida. However, the main reason I always go here is because it I the closest one to Deerfield beach. Most of the dim sum restaurants down here are more or less the same and so this one is just fine for meeting your dim sum cravings. Wait times aren’t bad, usually 10 – 30 minutes depending on your party. Plenty of parking outside, but it does get crowded. You might need to park a bit further on a busy Sunday. There’s also a conveniently located Asian market a couple stores down. Every Asian I know usually frequents the Asian market after dim sum for some odd reason. Overall, good place to try if you are in south Florida. Food is good and similar to anything else. Nothing that wows you though. 4 stars because it is slightly above average and they are consistent.

I am not Chinese, everyone spoke Chinese to me and when I tell them I can’t understand them, they rudely walked away. I didn’t know they have a kitchen that you can order from, until I got ready to leave and I asked them if they have a menu because I saw other people having food, instead of getting food from the push carts. The servers were not friendly(well there was one that was nice but we couldn’t communicate with each other dude to language). The servers that can speak English, didn’t want to take their time to explain anything after I told them it’s my first time here.

Flavors on point, the shrimp balls, the congee, the sautéed Chinese broccoli, the beef balls. All were good. The curry fishball was okay. Best to eat here for Sunday brunch. Busy place, courteous staff. Crowd is mixed. Asians and other nationalities. Which to me says the place is a great place to come back to. For Dimsum in this hood. Is the best place to eat.

Whenever I visits South Florida, I take my father in law who is Chinese to this restaurant. I live in NC but used to live in Boca area for almost twenty years and I must have tried every Dim Sum restaurant from Kendal to West Palm Beach. This restaurant is always among top 5. Food is delicious and well prepared. Service is excellent from manager to servers and courteous. Since Charlotte does not have decent Chinese restaurant, I have to wait to visit South Florida. Miss those great Chinese restaurants in New York City, Philadelphia and Washington DC.

Dinner review(not Dim Sum). I have been wanting to come here forever for dim sum(for the authentic cart experience) but other reviews and word of mouth about long waits has turned me off, so I never bothered, but I was really excited when my step mother wanted to take me here for dinner since she had been the week before and was excited about some of their harder to find items. As usual I arrived first, to an empty dining room(I think week day dinners are mostly to-go here, but some other tables arrived after us). After some language barrier I was finally able to convince someone that I needed a table for 6 people. Thankfully my step mother showed up soon and was able to handle the language situation lol. Like most real Asian restaurants the service was a bit abrasive and slow. I’m now used to that, and since my reviews are more food based, I’ll go with 4 stars. To be honest I don’t even think I glanced at the menu. My step mother completely handled the ordering after hearing the specials and I anxiously awaited the food to arrive. Again, there were 6 of us, so quite a lot of food to the table. **Fish Soup — I’ve had the soup before elsewhere, this time around was far superior! **Goose Intestines — YESPLEASE. I swear anytime I have any kind of Asian Intestine dish I’m in love. My favorite of the night. **Fish«bits» — Some sort of chewy fish bits. There was an argument on whether or not these bits translated to something gill related, or swim bladder or what… so yeah, no clue what I was eating, but I loved it. **Lemongrass Yellow Skin Chicken — Never my favorite dish, but my step mother loves it. About comparable to the other times I’ve had to eat it lol. **Clams? — Another dish lost in translation. Clams? Gooey Duck? Not really sure, but it was definitely in the mollusk family. Loved it. **Water Spinach — Thanks to Amanda Y. for translating this one, because I was only told they were«chinese greens». I love Chinese vegetables, so I was a fan. **Pork Shank — Not my favorite, but probably because this was last to come out and I was super full. I could see my step mother licking her lips when this got to the table, so she was a happy camper. Overall, I left VERY full, but very happy. This was my first time ever in the plaza and I was surprised to see how many different restaurants I’ve been wanting to check out, but never got around to were here. It’s likely I’ll be back very soon!

Having lived in Guangdong province for 3 years we seriously missed dim sum. This restaurant is totally authentic. Above average Cantonese food, plenty of steamed dumplings & other variations, if you like REAL Chinese food, this is the place to go

Since I don’t live in South Florida anymore, this is the restaurant I go to every time I come back to visit my family. I would say it’s the best dim sum I’ve had in all of Florida. Of course, there will always be inconsistencies. Sometimes the shrimp dumplings are alright. But I think the assortment of dishes they have for dim sum is the best I’ve experienced. From fried shrimp balls to rice paste, they have it all. They even have different sauces if you wanted it without the extra charge. I went this past Saturday and it was packed since it was lunch time and the weekend before Chinese New Year. Service was good considering how busy they were, and the food was pretty good. The servers were attentive when a plate was empty and removed it from our table promptly. We got tons of plates from siu mai, har gow, egg custard tart, and other buns. They were all pretty good and none tasted foul. We didn’t order anything from the kitchen since we were already pretty full from all the small plates we ordered. Overall, this is my favorite dim sum place in Florida. Prices are decent, but for good dim sum I think it’s the best we got. Until next time!

Very good dim sum! My first in south Florida so I can only favorably compare to a place in Toronto. Plates came out frequently and with good variety. Dim Sum is only at lunch so plan your visit. I was surprised they had desert plates too. My Asian friends seemed pleased with everything which I took as a good sign… we were celebrating Chinese New Year. They were able to accommodate our large party of 12 no problem.

In my opinion, Chinese food is better in Ft. Lauderdale area than WPB. My sister recommended this place for dinner so we headed on over. Im not a picky eater, just order whatever and Ill eat it. There was about 8 of us, they have larger family tables to accommodate. Lazy Susan in the middle for the kids to play with and spill stuff too. I didn’t do the ordering, so we got a boatload of food ranging from soup, jellyfish w/pork, lobster, noodles, seafood stir fry dishes, veggie dishes, whole fish, tofu dishes, and they threw in some fried chicken if you spend over a certain amount. All was pretty good, no complaints from anyone and everyone felt very satisfied. It wasn’t too busy at that time as we got there pretty early, so service was attentive and the manager gentleman came over to thank us for coming by etc. For dessert they whipped up some sweet bean soup for us, kids didn’t like it, but us adults did. Overall, it was a pretty good dinner, wouldn’t mind coming back for dim sum too.

I’ve only come here for their dim sum(which is pretty impressive)! I’ve been ti Pine Court Chinese Bistro three times now and every experience is consistent with the last. Don’t come here expecting to get a quick bite to eat because you will leave thoroughly disappointed and upset! The service is very very slow. If you’re ever looking for a waiter to come by, you’ll be waiting for a long time. Pine Court Chinese Bistro’s dim sum ends at 3:00 so come before that time(I recommend around 11). The dim sum experience is very fun and unique. Waiters come around with carts of food and you pick whichever dishes you’d like for you and your table. The dishes are both traditional and ethnically adventurous. Pine Court Chinese Bistro is a must-try experience!

For a person that grew up eating Chinese food, I probably like Chinese food the least of all Asian foods. One simple reason: MSG Pine Court serves cart-styled dimsum so if you don’t come early most of the dishes are cold. The dimsum experience pretty much goes downhill because of that. Now for the MSG… they use way too much of it in their food. How do I know? When you consume a lot of MSG, you get headaches and become really thirsty. I’m usually not sensitive to MSG, but this time I really felt it right after I left the restaurant. Not a feeling you want to experience after spending money on not-so-cheap food. On a good note, they made fresh turnip cake for us when they ran out. Staff are polite and attentive. I don’t wanna say I won’t come back, but I probably won’t be back for a while.

Their dim sum is from 11 – 3 on weekdays They have great service, especially if you’re chinese haha. There are always servers roaming around, checking if you’re satisfied w everything. We even got a sweet soup dessert on the house, a taro and clear tapioca soup which was very good! We came for dinner, and ordered 3 dishes Beef noodle chow fun — kind of good flavor, but oily Beef and radish«casserole» — this is basically beef and radish that come in a stone pot, steaming! Pork and green beans In my opinion, and as a native chinese and Asian, Toa Toa was much better We had dim sum for dinner, and at Toa Toa, it was AMAZING. It surpassed this place by alott.

Not too shabby of a place. It’s a lot bigger than I thought it would be. Get here early on a weekend though because this place gets PACKED. I was lucky enough to arrive around 11:00am on a Sunday morning and was seated right away. But by the time my boyfriend and I finished our meal, there was a huge line and tons of people eagerly waiting for food. They have your usual dim sum fare here. Shrimp shiumai(dumplings), chicken feet, BBQ pork puns, a variety of steamed buns, taro balls, shrimp balls, congee, etc. I was particularly happy with the chicken feet(I mean, I finished a whole order to myself). I was a little disappointed with their shrimp rice rolls. It usually comes with this delicious sauce that’s light, slightly sweet and salty – it basically makes the dish. However, I’m sad to say that this place basically used soy sauce and that kind of ruined the dish for me, so I’m going to have to take a star away. Service here is decent. It may take some time to flag a server down once they get really busy, but my boyfriend and I aren’t too needy when we’re preoccupied with all the food carts strolling around. Don’t be shy about trying a new dish. Prices were comparable to other places I’ve been to in south Florida so that shouldn’t stop you from being adventurous. I would have to take another star away because they didn’t have my favorite dessert. It’s a warm soft tofu dessert that I always try to score at every dim sum place and I was pretty bummed that they didn’t have any. Not sure if it’s because they ran out or if they just don’t make it. I guess I’ll have to come back another time to find out.

Kind of a funny little note, the pronunciation of the Chinese name for this restaurant is really similar to Tin Fish so I checked in AND wrote the review for the wrong restaurant… oops. Thank god a friend here on Unilocal messaged me and corrected my mistake. So… onto the review for the proper place: It’s the second time I had the dim sum here, I like it! Apparently they only have it during lunch time on weekends? It’s not order off the menu, they come around with push carts and you point at what you want. I’ll post some pictures later on some of the stuff that I recommend, I just don’t have any idea how to describe what I ate lol so I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.

2.5 This place left a lot to be desired. With it being Sunday at lunch time I knew this place was going to be busy. We saw a line out the door and decided to check out the strip mall so maybe the lunch rush would die down. After over an hour we went back over to put our name in with still a 30 minute wait. The waiting area up front was cramped with lots of people waiting but the small amount of time in there I noticed the floor was wet, no soaked… Finally, our name was called and we were seating. Our table was cleaned but then it looking like someone carried something dripping over our table to make it dirty again. The guy that sat us noticed but only replaced one chair. I had to replace my chair with one at the next table over and our table cloth was still dirty. The carts came very slow and the first one to show up had mostly sweet Dim Sum on it; not realizing we received two sweets to start off with. After not being impressed with the food or atmosphere we decided we would just try a couple more to make sure there isn’t something here we are missing. Again, these carts were very slow to come by even though the restaurant was full. What we ended up trying was dry and not very flavorful minis the sweets. As I said in the beginning there was so much left to be desired. Sticky Rice– Decent Steamed Pork Bun– Dry & Bland Sesame Seed Ball– Served Cold & Super dry Yellow Cake Rolls– Yum! Like Sponge Cake! Steamed Sugar Custard Bun– Super sugary but intriguing tasting! Overall, we have tried most of the Dim Sum restaurants around and we won’t be back to this one. It by far isn’t the worst food but with the atmosphere and lack of service/knowledge of being about to describe the dishes; this place will be left out for us.
