Dance FX

My daughter has been dancing with Dance FX for two years. She has become a more outgoing and self-​confident since she started at Dance FX. She enjoys her classes as well as performing in the end of the year recital. We are looking forward to another terrific year of dance.

My daughter is attending Dance FX since she was 4. She started with the Saturday toddler classes, which are age appropriate and lots of fun for the little ones! Today she is 8 and already part of their travel competition team. The quality of the education she is receiving at Dance FX is excellent, at her age she was already able to receive a scholarship for a nationwide dance convention. The variety of classes they offer gives everybody, even the adults, a possibility to dance.
The teachers are amazing, everybody is clearly dedicated to what they do, and to «their» kids.
Dance FX is a big family, and we are happy that we are a part of it!

I paid hundreds of dollars, on-​time, in a short period of time to get my daughter signed up for classes, costumes and recitals. What a waste of money! If you are not apart of their little clique, the staff if pretty rude to you. They have no customer service skills and act as if they are still in high school. They would prefer to argue with a paying customer than to investigate issues first. I wish I would have listened to my gut feeling on the day I brought my daughter to their trial classes because they were rude then. Also, if you decide to go with this school, make sure you pay with a check and write a memo regarding what you are paying for. Once they forgot to charge me for a custume that I thought we were too late for buying because we signed up late for the classes. So when I paid my tuition just before the deadline, they called me AFTER I left to let me know that they took it upon themselves to apply my monthly tuition to another costume instead. The reason they did this is because this way, I had to pay my tuition because the due date was near. So I had to come back immediately and pay them for the class so I wouldn’t get a late fee. This is not the way you do business! Then after paying $ 200 for my daughter’s pictures and an extra $ 10 to a recital book, they forgot to put her picture in the recital book and said it was an accident. They refunded me the $ 10 for the book, but not before making me out to sound like a liar. Then at the same recital, they said kids were not allow to leave and would be closely monitored, yet my child managed to sneak out somehow. Horrible experience with this school. Also, with regard to the recital… be prepared to pay $ 18 – 24 per ticket depending on how good of a seat you want. You would think after paying hundreds of dollars so not even a full year of dance (we were there from feb to mid June), you would get a free ticket or two, but nope! hahaha. They are money hungry so beware!

I purchased a groupon for Dance FX for a months worth of classes… I took my son to the 2 year old class on Saturday mornings which I was told was co-​ed and focused on age appropriate dance activities. Unfortunately it was not what they portrayed it to be, all of the little girls came in tutus and tights, they ran around for the 1^st 20 minutes then did a «chicken dance» and finished the last 20 minutes with «dress up» making a big production of taking smelly old clothes out of a trunk and throwing them on the floor so the kids could wear princess dresses and other accessories. I left with my son annoyed and disgusted. Wish I would have paid more attention to the reviews on Unilocal
