I bought a sectional back in Oct. with a verbal agreement of up to 6 weeks and a contract I signed that said up to 5 weeks. After a few weeks I started calling the 1800 number to get updates. At the 6 week period I asked the call center to call the manufacturer to which the said the store would have to do. I also asked the to have the store call me when they found out. After another week went by I still didn’t get a response and called the store myself. They apologized that no one called me and that they would call me back with an answer. Still nothing! I had to go into the store to talk the the clerk and she finally told me there was a mix up at the warehouse and some one would class for a delivery date once they located the pieces there. I needed to know when the items were coming so I could arrange removal of the old furniture. FINALLY. I got and email asking me to select a delivery date. I chose Saturday, because I had a Christmas party happening that Sunday Dec. 13th(now we are at 8 – 9 weeks instead of 5 – 6). I got a phone call saying my Monday saying oh we have your delivery scheduled for Tursday(well after my party). I told them it was unexceptable and with all the issues and lack of communication form them that it need to be there like I had requested through the email service that was sent to me. The clerk told me they would do a special request and that given everything that had happened I would get it on Saturday, someone would call me Friday with a window for delivery. I arranged for the old furniture to be picked up and removed to make room for the new. Well Friday came and no phone call so I called and I was told yet again the delivery would be on Tuesday! I am FURIOUS! So now I have no furniture old or new and 12 people coming to my house the next day for a party and no where to sit. I spoke to Rose at the store who apologized again, doesn’t mean squat at this point. She said she would refund the shipping and credit back a measly $ 100, which for the embarrassment is so not enough. So I wait to see this«credit». It’s now the 2nd of January. So I go into the store to follow up. They haven’t processed the credit nor did Tose even remember the situation!!! The lack of communication with in this store is beyond reproach! This speaks to why the store had communication issues, it steams from the person setting the tone with in the building. On top of this the sleeper was suppose to be a memory foam sleeper this is a spring totally not what we ordered.

There is nothing overly wrong with this place. I just find the selection lacking. Their showroom feels very sparse and needs more furniture on display, I can’t tell if it’s modern, traditional etc. Our sales associate was very helpful, but I felt a bit pressured. I don’t mind giving the commission to the deserving associate, but I don’t need to know their schedule for the week. I ended up not coming back for the piece I was looking at, but not because of anything anyone did. I just found something better. This isn’t the first place I’d check if I ever need furniture.

Why can’t we use ZERO stars? Outrageously poor customer service. Save yourself the money and aggravation and DONOTBUYFROMHAVERTYS!!! I spent a fortune here and have no satisfaction — everything I ordered from Haverty’s has a problem. The furniture is crap and the customer service is worse. STAYAWAY! Seriously. Shop here and you’ll regret it.

I spent over $ 4,000 couch and was scheduled to be deliver in 2 weeks, after I get a confirmed date for the pieces to be deliver, so I take the day off from work and no one showed up at my house called them The guy on the phone told me my stuff was going to be delivery January 21th. A month later. On the receipt they wrote in big letters Dec 17th. When to the store complaint There was nothing they could do. That i was going to have to wait. Even tho I canceled for lying to me and giving me the worst customer service ever. They wasted my time and money. Do not shop at this place expensive and irresponsible managers. They just wanna closed the sale and earn their commission

I ordered an rather pricey couch with a pull out bed May 26. It was delivered June 4 in Miami. However, soon after the delivery people left the right leg of the couch snapped completely off. I called customer care to report it and they couldn’t send someone out to even«inspect» the damage until next week — even though they delivered a broken couch. Since I will be out of town next week the soonest I can get someone to inspect(not repair or replace) the couch is June 20. I am extremely frustrated at the fact Haverty’s isn’t making a more serious effort to resolve this issue quickly even though they delivered a $ 2000 couch that was broken. After I reported the problem and they scheduled an inspection I was supposed to receive a confirmation that I reported a problem. I received no such confirmation and it was only after I called a second time requesting a confirmation that they finally sent it to me. Very unprofessional and very disappointing. Update: They sent someone to inspect the couch yesterday and the man said for sure the couch could not be fixed and that it would need to be replaced. He said I would receive a call about replacing it. I received a call this morning and the customer care rep. was completely unhelpful. He said it would be until JULY23 that I would receive a replacement couch. When I said I cannot wait that long he said that if I wanted a different couch I would need to get a reelection approved. When I said I no longer to do business with Havertys he started to backpedaled and said actually a reelection had been approved(what a coincidence!). When I told him once again that when the couch first broke I was promised I could get a full refund he said that it would have to approved by the store. I now have to go to the store again and ask for a full refund and will no longer to doing business with Havertys and I suggest no one else do either.

Havertys Sunrise FL. For a high priced store, their customer service is awful. They totally disregard time requests. This was the second time I had to have service on an item. The last time was a Saturday, so when they were TWOWEEKS and 4 hours late(the sales person forgot to schedule the service), I wasnt very inconvenienced. But this time I was very clear that I would not and could not take a day off from work to accommodate their schedule. They dont have evening hours, so I was stuck with requesting the first slot in the morning. Their first appointment is 8AM. When the time came to call me with the exact time, I was given 9 – 11:45! On top of that, the item I purchased was cheaply made in China! I paid Haverty prices for Ikea quality. I will NEVER do business with Havertys again. They wantonly disregard requests and then the manager actually tried to compare it to «when you get service from the cable guy!» Yeah, I now put them in the same boat as the cable guy. AWFUL

Expensive furniture, but great quality. Shipping prices will make you want to slap them, as expensive as their furniture is, they should give you damn near free shipping. They wanted to charge us $ 399 for shipping, and told us they only delivered to my area ONCE a month. If i’m buying a bedroom suite that is going to cost me over $ 7,000 you think they would toss in free shipping for us! We were treated very well here, and not pressured into buying anything. I would have given them 5 stars, however the saleswoman had given me some«misinformation» about a certain piece of furniture. It’s hard to argue with the tag on the item, and the website saying what collection it belonged to.

If you look back through my reviews, you will find a review for Carls Furniture. Needless to say, it’s not pretty. So when Carls let us down, we happened to stumble upon Haverty’s in Sunrise. As the story goes, I had taken a sick day from work – and yes, I really was sick! My hubby and I decided to go to Sawgrass that day to look for something [I forget what] and as we were leaving Sunrise and heading back home, we saw a sign for Haverty’s Furniture. Now, remember folks, we haven’t had a couch in the 2 months we’ve been living at our new home. We were desperate. [This is all after the Carls scandal] We walked into Haverty’s with the idea of just scanning over the place to see if there was anything we liked. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted by a sales representative. She was very nice, explained to us where we would find the types of couches we were looking for and told us she would catch up with us later. In my opinion, that is the best customer service within the sales industry. Because don’t you just hate it when someone is following you [i.e., especially car salesmen] and watching your every move? I know I hate it. Anyways, we looked around. We knew we liked one particular couch. The rep came back and we talked with her, sitting on the couch we liked for a good 45 minutes. She told us of the policies, ways we could measure our space and return if we really wanted to purchase the couch. After a few Carls stories were exchanged… we realized they are getting lots of the unsatisfied Carls’ customers. I don’t want to dread you with a long story… so, in the end, we purchased our couch that same day! The process was smooth, we financed it. We received follow-up emails and calls about the delivery time. The delivery date was scheduled when we purchased the couch and was kept. The delivery truck was at our door at the date and time they had promised. That’s all it takes… keeping your word and usually, customers are happy! Overall: GREATCUSTOMERSERVICE. EXCELLENTVALUEOFFURNITURE. We love our couch. It is high quality and it shows.
