Excellent Italian food. Friendly staff .I had the butternut squash ravioli with spiced lamb special amazingly good. My wife had prosciutto and Gorgonzola stuffed chicken breast on Alfredo also excellent. Their bolognese is always great. This place is a gem!

Great small business, exactly what superior needs! Delicious small batch sauces and unique hand crafted cocktails with specials that change weekly and use local fresh ingredients. Service is prompt. Staff know the menu well and the drinks are stiff! One of a kind experience, definitely a must have for the city and a one of a kind place.

Nice little place, good service but few menu choices(only pasta) and the Alfredo was quite dry. Bread was excellent though and salad was good too. Will like to come back again in a few months and see if it gets better, would be a nice addition to Superior if it does.

Yum yum yum… we’ve been in for food and drinks on several occasions and always been impressed with both. From the bread and oil, the salad(great dressing) to the entrees everything is delicious. The small batch sauces are flavorful and delicious. The bruscetta the best I’ve had. We’ve tried different specials including hand rolled lasgana, lake superior trout wth garlic pasta, chicken marsala, sirloin steak and more. All have been fantastic. They also have a craft cocktail menu that is fun to try new drinks from. Anthony and the staff are very hard working and pleasant. It’s refreshing to see something like this is Superior. Give them a shot, you won’t be disappointed. You might wait longer than had a chain for your meal but it’s worth it! Save room for the shortcake… it is absolutely a must have!

Holy cannoli! This place is great! Back in my hometown for the weekend, walking down old tower ave, and what’s this, a non chain restaurant that I’ve never been to. So I went to check out good old Unilocal out to see the reviews, and there were none… I panic and start to walk away, but I was hungry, and didn’t feel like another burger… So we walked in and sat down. Service was quick with our drinks & Barkeep had a loose wrist when pouring. Fantastic!!! Let’s eat!!! Food took longer then expected, but the drinks held us over. The pasta came and went fast!!! We ended the night with another stiff drink, and a cannoli to go! We will be back!!!

I really, really wanted to have a great experience at Sclavis. We went early as I had to drive back home so there were no other people in the restaurant. It has great charm and would be a fantastic first date kind of place.(Though I admit I was confused by the Chinese zodiac placemats and chop sticks — they did serve a purpose to entertain my son). While the staff was wonderful, our requests were met with a series of «no’s» — No milk for kids to drink, no juice for kids to drink(short of grapefruit) no beer glasses for a beer. OK, maybe these were new restaurant jitters. Then we got the food — and while it was all OK, with a few simple changes it could be so much better. I got the olive oil pasta — why wasn’t there fresh ground black pepper? Why, if the noodles are what you are selling, aren’t they homemade?($ 14 for a plate of olive oil, burnt bacon bits and boxed noodles? Had it had homemade noodles, fresh cheese, ground black pepper and enough bacon or pancetta that wasn’t burned to taste than yes) The lasagna was, once again, ok. It will missing a layer of flavor somewhere — or maybe needed more salt? Maybe we ordered the bad menu options(though they were both recommended by the server…) I don’t know. I will try it again in the hopes it gets better — but I hope that they make a couple of changes in the meantime.
