Some if the best wait staff on the island. The food is unusually good and the ambiance friendly. This is one place we always go to when we visit lbi on or off season.

Worth the wait! Food is always good! Best breakfast place in Surf City. The cinnamon bun French toast is out of this world! Even as a local I don’t mind standing outside for a long time because it is so worth it. Once inside the service is great and food comes out quickly. Never feel rushed inside which is also a plus because it can get busy.

Breakfast time! Wow that western omelette is huge! Loved the home fries! Waitress was gruff and dismissive.

Haven’t been to this restaurant for a while. Went tonight and got there for the early bird which is from 3PM to 6PM., beside having so many choices on this menu you also get so many extra things, with your entrée. Also they have so many things on their menu. Someone like me takes a awhile to choose but nice to have so many choices. Service was very good and everyone friendly. Atmosphere is also nice. Can’t wait to go back plan on taking my niece here. This restaurant is unusual in the fact that you could go here couple times a week and not get tired of it. Really nice location also you get to hear the ocean which is so nice & relaxing.

Scojo’s holds a special place in my heart. Have been coming here since before it was scojos. I share this special spot with my wife at least once a month. You are not going to get a fine dining experience here but what you are going to get it top notch quality comfort food. I have no problem going to scojos for any of the 3 meals. Breakfast is very good. U like other restaurants the specials are special. They aren’t trying to dump something mediocre on you. Lunch I usually grab something like a wrap, sandwich or even an appetizer and some soup. If you go for dinner hit up the early bird specials which I believe you can get til at least 7 every night of the week? You will get soup/salad, rolls, your meal and even a dessert and drink. I usually bring my dessert home. The owners are class acts of LBI and will chat with you any time. Thanks so much scojos!

I have had breakfast, lunch, and dinner here. The food was great every time. The staff is extremely friendly. The hubby and I try to go off season. During the summer there is always a wait. That just tells you how good the food is.

Vacationing on LBI for years and finally tried this place this summer. Like the call ahead app for seating. Helps minimize time waiting in blazing heat. It would be great if they had an awning over the outside benches. We ate only breakfast here about 4x over a two week period July 2015. We enjoyed the food and will probably return.

They have a text prompt for when your table is ready, so cool! More restaurants need to do that, points for that innovation. The food was good, don’t get me wrong, but not ti wasn’t a better breakfast than I’ve eaten at most places on the island. The service is standard, friendly, and fast, they’ll get you in and out like a diner. The wait tends to be long, but with the text prompt you can go enjoy the beach while you wait, it’s just a block away. I’ve visited LBI every year for a long time now, and always wondered about Scojo’s breakfast/brunch due to the appearance of an enormous wait, but after trying it I realized I wasn’t missing out on much. I’d go again, but wouldn’t wait more than 20 minutes. I’d go back again to try lunch and/or dinner.

Have been going to Scojos for years. Our family has gotten to know Scott and Joe, as well as the staff over the years. Great people. Not apologizing for anyone’s attitude but I’m sure you have been there when they are extremely busy. The phone rings non stop and people are coming and going like it’s a turnstile at a NYC Subway. IMHO it’s because of the good food and service, not for a lack of options on the island. A lot of restaurants on the island treat regulars a lot differently then renters, but not the staff here. Everyone is treated equally. Food wise, I find it to always be great. Whether it’s breakfast or dinner portions are hearty and food is rarely if ever bland. I recommend their breakfast burrito and their chicken parm. Prices are on par w other restaurants on the island with similar offerings. Only negative is that the place is never empty and tables are close together that you sometimes feel like a sardine while dining. If you are looking for a quiet meal look elsewhere because this place is LOUD!

Great place. Stopped by out of the season in November on a Sunday around noon and it was just lovely. We had omelette, pancakes and two-eggs with ham and homefries. The portions were really big and the prices were absolutely fine with all dishes around 10 $. What stood out the most was the kind and charming service. Our waitress was really nice and attentive. The place itself makes you feel at home with its warm and friendly atmosphere.

Showed up around closing time but they told us to come in anyway and they were extremely friendly and our waitress Lindsey was so nice and welcoming and very attentive. We all ordered from the $ 14.99 part of the dinner menu and the food was delicious and they did not rush us at all. We also ordered an appetizer but the meals were huge and come with soup or salad and choice of potato so there were plenty of leftovers. We even ordered dessert which was very reasonable and tasty too. Will definitely be making it back here for dinner soon! Prices were great, service was excellent, and food was delicious. If you are looking for a home cooked feeling and affordability on LBI this place is it.

Not worth the wait. We walked in to be ignored for a few minutes by the hostess that just kept looking down and didn’t even acknowledge people who walked in. We were finally greeted and told the wait would be at least 40 min. They have a clever system that sends you a text when your table is ready and an app that allows you to see how many people are in front. One of the few restaurants I’ve seen take advantage of this system and that was good. We waited about 35 min to be seated and when we were they told us it might be longer because they just seated a big table and they needed to take their order first. They probably should of taken ours as we were only 3 people compared to the table of 12 but they were there first. Our food came out fast but was a bit underwhelming. It’s typical Diner food so don’t expect anything more. There food seems to be heated up and not made to order. I ordered Mac and cheese that came right from a box but seemed to be microwaved up when prepared. Also ordered wings that came burnt but otherwise tasted pretty decent. They give bread for the table that seems to be a potato bread variant. Overall it’s okay, I probably wouldn’t go back as there are better places on the island for food. Prices are okay and better prices places but you get what you pay for. Good for a cheap meal but sacrifices are expected. Would get 4 stars if they had a more friendly and faster greeting and didn’t seem like they were annoyed we walked in.

Pretty delicious sandwiches! The fiancé and I visited LBI most recently for 4th of July weekend and were craving sandwiches and burgers. Given the reviews, we figured Scojo’s would do the trick and were not disappointed. We placed a take-out order and both got the«Boardwalk Wrap,» which was comprised of: philly steak with crispy bacon cheddar and fries inside a wrap. Delicious, and it came with a side of fries as well. My only complaint is that the meat to fries ratio inside the sandwich wasn’t amazing — there were too many squished up fries in there, which overwhelmed the meat. But overall, a decent and filling meal if you’re in a particularly sandwich type of meat. I’d visit again when I’m on the island in the future!

Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum. Everything I expected for a great lunch. For what I ordered, Scojos hit a home run. This was my first visit here. The girlfriend and I stopped by for a late-late lunch, around 4PM. There was zero wait at this time, so I cannot speak for the dinner rush hour time slot. I ordered the pastrami melt on rye. When the dish first arrived, I was shocked at the behemoth placed in front of me. This sandwich was seriously huge, but that’s totally not a bad thing. I came here with an big appetite and this sandwich delivered. I don’t typically order pastrami, and in fact it may have been the first time I had it. The meat was tender, juicy, and flavorful. The melted swiss and russian dressing helped compliment the sandwich perfectly. I usually hate brown mustard, but I found my self dipping away, as I came to find out that pastrami + mustard = yes please. This will not be my last visit to Scojo’s, as I plan on stuffing down these sandwiches at every opportunity I can get. No complaints on the service, either.
