Would love to say I could critique the food but I didn’t get to taste it because when we went to pick up our order at 4:45 the lights were off and the doors locked after we had confirmed earlier that they were open until 5. My family had another experience were they opened 90 minutes late. I’m told the food is good but this is very off-putting.

I went here on the advice of my friend and was so happy I did. Halina is great and her pierogies are awesome!!! Even better, I got to try them because Halina offered to make me some gluten free because I have celiac disease and couldn’t eat regular ones. They cost a little extra because she had to buy special flour, but it was so worth it! They were delicious and Halina was so accommodating, it made me feel so special. Be warned, she will need some advance time to make gluten free, so you should call 2 days ahead if you want to order. Did I mention the double smoked kielbasa is great, too? I will definitely be back!

Awesome Polish food! Doesn’t get any better. The stuffed cabbage is my personal favorite.

First the address is 15th street and north long beach blvd is surf city not beach haven. That said once I found the spot hidden in a small strip mall it didn’t look like much. Walk in and the intoxicating smell hits you. It is a take out place. Homemade Pierogies of many varieties that you take home and freeze until ready to cook. Stuffed cabbage prepared to go and hot kielbasa hoagies got immediate eating pleasure. Run don’t walk to this place!

During an early October weekend getaway, the man and I were hungry, but our off-season options were limited. I turned to Unilocal and found this place. Seeing as how we were on vacation, I clearly was not in the mood to prepare(and clean up) a meal. I called and the sweetest woman answered the phone. It was late, I assume they were closing soon, but after explaining our situation, she happily offered to cook us a delicious potato and cheese pierogi dinner! I picked up our food and she was sautéing the said pierogi in onion and butter — the smell was amazing! It’s a cute and cozy little place but she knows how to make some delicious stuff! The potato and cheese are definitely recommended!

Best pierogies I have ever had! They are made fresh daily & she offers so many different flavors. From the outside, you would think it was just a run down shop. Well joke’s on you! They are sold by the dozen & she even offers advice on how to cook them. My personal favorites are the sweet potato and the potato and cheese. I recently had the chicken and broccoli, which were good, but had too much going on. She keeps adding more flavors, so make sure you buy every time you’re down in LBI. Buffalo chicken is next on my list, which I heard are a hit!

This tiny place doesn’t look like much, but they have the most amazing pierogies I’ve ever had! The owner just so happened to be making fresh cheddar and potato pierogies when we arrived, so it really doesn’t get any fresher than that. We will definitely be stopping there next time.

They bring their food truck to our local Farmer’s Market. It was purely by chance that I stopped there and got a cabbage roll for my husband one day — now it’s a weekly staple during the summer! We have tried a lot of places for cabbage rolls(golumpkis), pierogees, and kielbalsa but he says this has been by far the best. Normally he eats like a bird, yesterday he ate two($ 8)!! Definitely good stuff!

This place might not look like much from the outside sitting on busy Long Beach Blvd, but inside is homemade Polish delicacies all homemade from scratch. The island is full of seafood and family restaurants with burgers and fries. But when your sick of that where do you go? How about trying homemade Pierogies and Kielbasa? The woman that owns this place is a delight and makes pierogies from scratch and freezes them with all sorts of fillings. She also has other Polish food and the prices are cheap. The place is a little supermarket convenience store, but I would highly recommend making a stop. The cabbage rolls are called galumpkis by the way! Rare to see this type of place especially in a beach town!

a tiny restaurant and grocery(«Polish American Deli & General Store) at the corner of 15th Street and Long Beach Blvd. serving good wholesome, simple Polish dishes prepared from scratch. I tried cabbage rolls stuffed with beef and rice in a tomato based sauce(delicious and huge), potato pancakes with sour cream, and a pickle; all were wonderful. the bill for 2 of these huge cabbage rolls(which have a lot of ground beef inside), 2 potato pancakes, and a giant pickle came to $ 11. I am pretty familiar with Russian food, which has a lot in common with Polish food, and the cabbage rolls were competitive with those I have tried in Russia or made by Russians here in USA. They also make pierogis and some other Polish dishes, and sell kielbasa, and makes subs and sandwiches, I am eager to come back and try the pierogis and kielbasa. The grocery is tiny but they sell a variety of Polish or eastern European products such as various mustards and chocolates. there is only one table inside, so this is primarily a to-go place I guess.
