I made reservations for a party of 7 prior to wine tasting. When we arrived, we were seated right away. When our server brought our menu, it looked very limited. I was wondering where the items I saw on Unilocal were… I asked our server and she said they give smaller and limited menus for parties of 6 or more so the kitchen doesn’t get too back up. Seriously??? They didn’t let me know when I made reservations and additionally, we drove over an hour to get to the restaurant for a bridal party and we weren’t even offered their full menu? Ridiculous… we told our server we don’t mind waiting so we would like to order from the regular menu. Our server was very friendly and I’m sure she was just complying with the rules. Next time, guests should be informed about the limited menu. I ordered the benedict. It was good but nothing amazing. The décor inside was extremely cute! The décor was probably my fave part of the restaurant.

Sunday brunch in the Mother Lode? That we did at Element. It truly is as good as it gets! Element had been recommended to us by several locals. We were staying in Sutter Creek anyway, and came over here after we checked out of our hotel. The restaurant has a lot of light, given the big windows lining one side of the room. The place is filled with artwork. Just a wonderful environment in which to have brunch. I had the Element Chilaquiles which was«tortilla chips, black beans, chipotle salsa, sunny egg, queso fresco, sour cream». Perfect. C had their Hanford House Benny which featured«slices of rustic bread w/soprassata, wilted spinach, happy poached eggs, Element citrus hollandaise». She loved it. Our service was prompt, friendly and attentive. I can’t rave enough about our experience here. We’ll be back.

Great find in a beautiful small town! The food is fresh, reasonably priced and so tasty! I was highly impressed with their brunch menu and have taken many friends and family there. I highly recommend eating at Element when visiting Sutter Creek. The great food is backed up by wonderful staff and owner who are so helpful, friendly and kind. I have eating at many restaurants throughout Sacramento and San Francisco and this is one on the top of my list.

This place is still good, and the atmosphere is great, but the wonderfully creative dishes are starting to come out ham-handed in both taste and presentation. There is an increasing inconsistency in balance of ingredients and in the refinement of the presentation. The recipes are unique and fresh, but the execution is definitely slipping. Cappuccino is still excellent, but husband’s double espresso was definitely bitter with a too-dark crema.

The Ice Tea is the Freshest brewed tea you’ll find anywhere in Amador County. The Service is above 5-star– such friendly staff! We weren’t too hungry, but decided to split a breakfast chorizo dish, I can’t remember the name but what I can remember is that we licked the plate clean practically. Everything was fresh, hot, clean tasting and the dipping sauce– a green apple/cilantro/jalepeno purée(was our guess???) was to die for. Not sure where they missed half a star for rating, but I guess if I were to critique anything, it’s that I need them to triple the serving size of the dish so that I can unbutton my pants and roll out of there like I do with any place that does overly-generous servings.

Hands down the best breakfast place I have ever been to. The only complaint I have about this joint is that it’s not closer to my house! The staff is great, the place is beautiful and the food is amazing and the perfect portion size.

We ate here for 3 mornings as part of our stay at the Hanford House. It was so much more than I expected for breakfast. The first morning we had the omelet with bacon, spinach, and goat cheese. It was delicious. The 2nd morning I wanted to try something different so I went with the sausage biscuit. It was good, but the biscuit was a bit overpowering to the rest. My over easy egg was cooked perfectly. My only complaint was my fresh fruit cup which consisted of apples, oranges, and raisins. I didn’t think raisins are fresh, nor are any of them really seasonal. I did have the fruit cup the next day and it had strawberries and blackberries added to it. Much better! The orange juice was some of the best I’ve had. Also our server, Rachael was so nice and enthusiastic, she did an awesome job!

We had an amazing Saturday brunch. The benny was out of this world with perfectly cooked eggs and delicate Hollandaise sauce. The French toast was delicious and a perfect choice for kids and adults alike. Service was everything you could hope for. What’s not to like? Highly recommend Element!

We love this little place. Such a beautiful drive out 49, and the wait staff here are friendly and the food– most of which is local, organic or both is amazing. The benedict and fancy berry French Toast was incredible. It came with its own cute candle warmer for the syrup. Not too pricey for the food and experience.

For my money this is the best breakfast or brunch available today in Amador County. OK, that might be akin to «damning with faint praise» according to some, but not really when you consider we have the Rosebud now and… Oh all right, the competition on good spots for breakfast isn’t stiff. The quantities aren’t huge, but the quality is very good and it’s usually cooked the way you ask. Today, once again, the eggs benedict were perfection. I wish the chairs were a bit more comfortable, but you can’t have everything. The half dozen or so friends that I’ve brought here have all been crazy about it. Right now they aren’t serving dinners, but those will probably start up again in the spring and the outdoor seating will be available again, I trust. You can’t go wrong here if you like really well prepared food.

This restaurant is a gem! The food, ambiance, and the service were spectacular! We stopped in for brunch and were treated to an amazing experience. The menu is simple and creative. I had an omelet stuffed with spinach, goat cheese, lardons, and carmelized onion. Also ordered in my party was a simple egg, bacon, and toast dish as well as an item called the foundry, which consists of a very thick oatmeal with fixins. All of the items used high quality ingredients, were beautifully presented, and the love in every aspect of the execution showed. The restaurant is located in a restored brick building and has a slightly modern flare in its interior design. The service is nothing less than tantamount to the quality of the cuisine. Our server was extremely attentive, non-pretentious, and down to earth.

This place is a gem in the gold foothills! When you’re out and about wine tasting, exploring caves, panning for gold, hiking or biking, make sure to stop in to Element for a delicous dinner. Better yet, stay at the B & B next door! Our food was wonderful and the wine? Divine! The pricing is better than lesser places in the bay area. We were so glad we found this restaurant and will definitely be back again.

Sometimes I have a hard time eating out for breakfast because it seems increasingly difficult to find a place that can make anything as good for breakfast as we can at home. My stepmama, our friend, and I spent the day in Sutter and they said we had to come to Element for the Eggs Benedict and a Bloody Mary. Well, I don’t usually order Eggs Benedict, but of course, had to because they said I had to. It is served on bread from the local bakery(not an English muffin), and is perfectly cooked and sauced. I could have had two servings. They gladly took off the meat at my request. I can’t stop thinking of it and can’t wait to «attempt» to make something close to it at home. The Bloodies were fresh and delicious, too. Love this simple, clean, fresh restaurant.

Came here for a Farewell to Gold Country breakfast before I got on the road– ordered the Miner’s hash. I was expecting a classy version of ordinary hash, but this was far above par. I will remember that meal forever. Was a little crowded in the morning, but well worth the 15 minute wait– the servers were friendly and helpful.

We were in the area last Sunday morning to pick up a wine shipment. Decided to grab some breakfast. The menu was pretty small so options are limited. I ordered the breakfast ramen(I am a big fan of ramen) and my boyfriend ordered the eggs Benedict. The broth in the ramen tasted like water. It was so bland, what a disappointment. The noodles had potential for a different twist on the standard ramen. My boyfriend ordered the Benedict and added bacon to it. It came on slices of French bread which were boring. This would have been much more impressive served in their biscuit that they do their breakfast sandwich on. The highlight of the meal for me was definitely the Bloody Mary. It had lots of little pickly bits in it. Underwhelming at best.

This came as a recommendation from one of the ladies who ran the tasting room at Story vineyards. We were told that they had the best bloody Mary’s in town and she was right. We decided to go here on our last morning of our vacation before heading back to the real world, and I am glad we did. It is a cute place in downtown Sutter Creek with outdoor and indoor seating. Our server Rachel was lovely. Very attentive and friendly. We both had a Bloody Mary, coffee, and I had the Main Street cakes, pumpkin pancakes with Apple pie compote, and pecans. I also had the side of potatoes. I am very picky about potatoes because some are so bland and just boring. These were sea salted, white potatoes mixed with sweet potatoes. Clay had eggs, toast and chicken Apple sausage. I am taking my leftovers back to San Jose with me, and next time we are in Sutter Creek we will definitely be back.

OK, so I was stayin’ at the attached bed and breakfast, Hanford House Inn, at which they gave me a voucher for this place, so I came here for breakfast. Décor is super modern, super cool, and super light — with a slight industrial vibe and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the sidewalk — conducive to people-watching! Service was concise, precise, quick, and friendly. Coffee was fresh, hot, and really good. The food was excellent! You could really taste the freshness of it all. Flavor profile and textures were well-balanced, and it quite honestly made every bite go down like butter. For the life of me, though, I absolutely cannot remember the name of my dish nor the description; nor can I find it online!(I think that it was a special-of-the-day). To the best of my memory, I remember some delictable hash browns with bacon and scallion bits — over which they placed some fresh zuccini /veggies and a fried egg. Describing it in words doesn’t do it justice, and luckily, have uploaded a photo. Saw some acquaintances here from a wedding that we had all gone to, and I had the hostess seat us together — which really lent itself well to a super awesome breakfast.

You know those eateries that aren’t local and accessible that make an impression on you? You dream about the next time you can visit. You think about the meal and the ambience. Well I am adding Element to my list of those places. I long for Local 360 in Seattle. I dream of Beachwood BBQ in Seal Beach, I would pillage to go to Taboon in Hells Kitchen right now. Well I am adding Element to that list. Walking up to this lovely spot I felt like I was in Seattle. If you look at the pictures of this joint you will think that you are in downtown Seattle eating breakfast. The outside will take you to Black Bottle. But you are in the wonderful Sutter Creek, CA. When we walked in they were slammed. Like, «Sunday morning best pace in town» slammed. Did the staff give us the weird«Why are you here» look? Nope. They were awesome. So friendly. Got our names and took the mimosa order and showed us up to the lobby area to wait for our table. I could not believe how cool the vibe was. This establishment is top notch. It rates right up there with high end places in much larger cities. The menu is upscale and fresh. There is something for everyone. My friend was very intimidated by the menu. He is a very traditional breakfast kind of guy so it was a little tough for him. If you are looking for traditional biscuits and gravy garb for breakfast or your normal boring dish go somewhere else. Element is a pleasure to the eyes and taste buds. I would call it an adventure. I ordered the Badger. I can honestly say that this was one of the best breakfast meals that I have had. The egg was perfect. The beans and corn tortilla were so tasty. I loved it. Perfect amount of cojita. My friend was not amused with his meal. The only suggestion that we do have is to not serve a salad with a breakfast meal. He was so baffled that he got a fancy salad with his breakfast meal and honestly I am too. No one wants salad at breakfast. Switch it up. Throw some grits or potatoes or another fabulous dish in with the Tailing Wheel. No one wants a salad at 9 am unless you are a celebrity losing weigh for a movie.

Element is nestled in the ridiculously tiny town that is Sutter Creek and an astonishingly far cry from its surroundings given the modern farm-to-table vibe within its walls. Our servers were so patient with us as we spent quite a bit of time catching up before even placing our orders, a result of having been ages since seeing each other. Dishes included the Tailing Wheel, Hanford House Benny and Motherlode. I opted for the latter and it turned out to be the best omelette I’ve ever had — all the fresh ingredients came together in such harmony from the tanginess of the goat cheese to the bright sweetness of the caramelized onions to the savoriness of the lardons. My girlfriend’s Tailing Wheel was freakishly tasty for what was essentially a poached egg and sausage patty on a biscuit. This said biscuit and my toast were damn good too and tasted even better with the accompanying jam. And to elaborate a bit on the service, they gave my girlfriend a complimentary side of(crazy derricious) bacon to munch on just because her dish was running literally several minutes behind the rest of ours. Legit. An absolutely top notch spot for noms before and/or after wine tasting in Amador County.

I was certainly in my Element while chowing down on the quality brunch provided by this new Sutter Creek establishment. If not for the price v. portion size, I could easily have awarded them 5 stars. You know it’s a good sign when almost anything on the menu sounds appealing. I had a hell of a time choosing between the traditional breakfast, the zucchini hash, the eggs Benedict and my ultimate choice — a southwestern concoction with sunny-side up eggs, salsa and fresh tortillas. They apparently ran out of Bloody Mary’s before I was able to order one. I did try my father’s and have to say it was one of the better versions I’ve ever tasted, topped with a large toothpick sagging under the weight of various pickled accoutrements. For better or worse, our modern American culture has created a precedent where you like to get what you pay for. All the meals were fantastic when it came to flavor and presentation, but small enough that we had to order side dishes to really fill our tummies. I ordered a side of scrumptious potatoes which typically would have come as part of the meal at any other restaurant. It meant paying an extra $ 4 for something I would usually get with my entrée. If not for this minor but annoying aspect, the meal was a hit.
