Pocono Brewing Company

Drinks: Bartender has little to no personality. ½ full beer (half foam), finished it in 2 minutes, and was never asked if I wanted another. Although I want to blame lack of training for her less than par service, We were literally the only two at the bar, shouldn’t have taken so long.
Food: Gross. Microwaved. Skip. Too many options in the area. Had to ask for silverware. Bartender did some other stuff for a waitress before getting it for us.
Hostess was friendly.
Overall; Pass. Wish I would have read previous reviews before visiting. WILL NEVER GO BACK.

WORST SERVICE WE’VE EVER RECEIVED
Where do I begin? Asked for napkins TWICE. Never received. Ordered a beer. NEVER received. Asked for plates for apps. NEVER received. Ordered meal that came with beans & cornbread… NEVER received. Kids meals came over after the other meals were brought over and we finished eating. Salads– ICK! … Wilted lettuce.
Never saw waitress after complaining. Manager never came over. She offered to take the beer off the bill – (the one we NEVER received!) and 10%… After doing the math it was not 10%. !
AWFUL service and the food wasn’t good either!

Horrible service. food tastes frozen… we tried this place again but we only ordered appitizers and we’re eating someplace else. never again

Where do I begin… no one at door to greet u the assistant manager lied about seating us. Manager finally said she would help us and we haven’t seen her since. We have 3 different servers and food still hasn’t arrived. We asked for simple things like straws and couldn’t wait anymore and got our own. Don’t waste ur time or money and find a different spot where u can truly enjoy ur time. Only gave a star cause it was only way I can leave a comment

This «brewing company» is absolutely terrible. First and foremost, it’s called «Pocono Brewing Company» they have brew kettles, yet the waitress claimed they don’t brew their own beer. They had a sizable craft beer draft list. But the list only had the manufacturers name so when we asked the waitress what type of beer they were she had to walk to the bar to check. We only got appetizers and a few drinks. The food was ok, but the service was horrendous. Probably waited 15 minutes to get our first drink after sitting down. And not any better for each round. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.

This place is horrific. The service is absurdly slow (over an hour for appetizers), their waitress didn’t know any of the beers on their menu, and the food came out cold and tasted terrible. Find another place to spend your time and money

Be prepared to spend time in this place, the worst service I have ever experienced! (BTW — this was a Friday afternoon around 4) We have been in this place 3 times so I waited until now to rate them. I really wanted to give them a chance but sadly this will be the last time I will ever enter here until I see a sign stating «under new management» or «new owners»! So, here’s my review, I have been here on the patio outside, inside in the back dining area and upfront, and on all three occasions, we were waiting to get someone to recognize us. This time, we waited 10 –15 minutes before someone came by for our order, luckily there were 4 of us and we were hungry or we would have left.
The bartender was horrible, unless you want a beer as she made a horrible Cosmo and she was slower than pouring a Guinness!
Everyone around us were complaining about their service, the drinks tasting funny and cold food!
We had 2 appetizers that were brought out luke warm and looked like they came from a box. (Pirogies & Mac&Cheese). The Burgers were good & Chicken sandwich was fine, so keep that cook!
But overall, I give this place 6 months. Word is getting out!

Love the Specialty salads, the food, the venue is a hidden gem. Great place to hold a party! The music venue is amazing! Staff very friendly!

Came here for appetizers and a meal… it took over 2 hours to get out of there and they were basically dead

Stopped for lunch — excellent Pastrami Rueben — they need to get the «brewery» thing going. The by Bianca was Great and merited the 4^th star.

I’m graciously giving this place 1 star simply because they serve beer. There was a hole in the wall where a TV should have been (based on other booths), the floors creaked when ppl walked by, the beer was warm, the food was gross, potato“chips“were soggy, and it was over priced for what ya get. Terrible. Looked promising on the outside, but the parking situation should have been enough warning.

I ordered the Steak alla Vodka. WAY TOO SWEET. Ordered medium rare steak got a chewy rare. Husband had the Bella Donna and he says it was good. Scallops and shrimp were good. Pasta was good. We also had the coconut shrimp. Although the shrimp were small, they were good and the salsa that came with it was delicious. Sorry PBC but you’ve got some work to do.

I don’t expect to find good food on the side of the road… However, this find is a gem. Besides the excellent food, the place is clean, there’s large bar area and their staff is friendly.

This place could do so much better…
We tried this place after learning the wait at Barley Creek was over and hour and now I know why it’s worth waiting more than an hour rather than eat here.
Who would have thought that the Pocono «Brewing «Company doesn’t brew any of their own beer. And they serve warm beer!!!
My steak was poor quality meat, reminds me of the Ponderosa Steak house or Denny’s!!!
The Ala Vodka sauce is anything but, I’ve never seen large chunks of mushroom and slices of raw red onion vodka sauce ever before. Not to mention it had no real taste, less than half was eaten.
Service is slow, uninterested and less than friendly.
Prices are much higher than the quantity rot quality they are serving.
I would not go back and avoid!

The only reason I’m giving it one star is because you have to choose one to continue. I was completely disgusted by this establishment.
My family and I were in from out of town and chose this place over the others around the area because it «looked cool» I wish we went to Burger King instead and we don’t even frequent fast food places.
When we first got into the restaurant which was empty at 5pm on a Sunday! RED FLAG! no one greeted us for prob about 3 minutes which is fine if there wasn’t several employees «hanging around» like it was social hour and not acknowledging that we walked in.
I’m sorry but I’m a restaurant manager myself and I know this is unacceptable and another RED FLAG and should’ve left but we were starving and decided to sit anyway. The hostess was literally the only positive thing I can say about this place-​she was friendly.
The paper menus were filthy and greasy I didn’t even want to touch it to be honest. The server came over pretty quickly to see what we wanted to drink (we asked about their brews, considering it’s called Pocono Brewery, but they don’t brew their own beer!!!) She told us, «there is a new owner and it’s very expensive to do that» WHAT!!! I don’t wanna know the owner is cheap! Or can’t afford the place he bought! What else can he not afford? BLEACH!!!
We ordered drinks and then the blooming onion app.
She came back with drinks and we ordered asking her questions along the way (she had virtually no menu knowledge) we ordered and I ran to the ladies room to wash my hands… but omg I wish I hadn’t.
There’s nothing that could’ve been more disgusting and I’m praying the kitchen isn’t a reflection of the front of house. There were four stalls and not a single one was «clean» feminine products all over and so filthy and unsanitary!!! I didn’t even feel safe touching the sink!
I didn’t tell my family cause I didn’t wanna gross them out but I was scared to eat the food. We got the app. It was greasy and not cooked properly, the whole middle of the onion wasn’t even battered just the outside layers. We got our food… a burger, the brisket sandwich, and pulled pork.
Inedible! All of it! So gross I can’t even explain how appalled we were! The brisket was dried out and served on a rock hard roll, we asked the server (when she finally came to check on us after we had our food for ten minutes without touching it) how it was cooked and she stumbled through a crazy explanation cause she had no clue, ended up telling us it was under the heat lamp and that could be why the plate was hot. We think it was microwaved along with the pile of slop the called pulled pork. The burger was ehhhh and the best of the three but they ruined it when the threw wilted romaine lettuce pieces from the salad mix the prob use. Gross! All of it.
While we are eating the unprofessional staff is all sitting at a booth behind ours talking and laughing not paying attention to anything. We needed things and stood up to find out server and not ONE of them asked what we needed!!! One of them actually stood up from the booth and reached her hand down under her jeans to pull her underwear out of her ass!
I was DONE! I asked my family if they were ok with me requesting to speak to the manager because I didn’t wanna embarrass them, we have all worked in the hospitality industry and we NEVER COMPLAIN!
I felt so compelled to tell the manager because I’d want to know if my staff, food, or restaurant was not satisfactory. We asked the staff hanging out if they could get the manager for us… and wouldn’t you know she’s right there sitting with them!!! Are you kidding me! Unacceptable!
When I saw which one she was you’ll never guess!
It was the one that moments before I saw picking her underwear out of her ASS! I can’t make this up. I will never ever step foot in there! Shame on the person who owns this amazing establishment that could be top notch! It’s a great building and property!

This pace has really gone downhill.
I used to frequent this establishment, when I worked nearby in the late 90s. Back then it had a great beer selection, great food, great service and all at a decent price. I went again last year and noticed they were a little «off» but figured they were just having a bad day. I went there yesterday and I was appalled, to put it mildly.
My daughter ordered a raspberry iced tea, but we sent it back immediately. It had so much sugar that it literally tasted like raspberry syrup. Then, we asked for lemonade, easy right? Sorry, we are out of lemonade, the waitress said. We finally settled on water.
I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, again an easy order. Sorry, the waitress says. We don’t have the ciabatta bread for that sandwich. By this time I was thinking that maybe I should have went to the grocery store for them before I came in.
They seated us in the sun-​room area of the restaurant, and it was a hot day outside. We were effectively in the hottest room of the building (with about 20 other people) while the rest of the air-​conditioned areas of the restaurant were completely vacant. Thanks, guys. I just love to eat lunch in a hot, crowded room with sweat pouring off of my forehead and onto the food.
So, I get up to use the rest room. The men’s room has one toilet and naturally it is plugged up and has feces floating in it. There goes my appetite for the day. I wonder if anyone has fixed the plumbing yet. As an aside, why would a busy restaurant have only ONE toilet?
The sun room was setting up for a poker tournament just before we left, so the room got even more crowded. It doesn’t matter because we were leaving anyway, and NEVER going back. To anyone in this area looking for a place with good beer and good food I offer these two words: BARLEY CREEK.

Ugh, where do I begin? I tried using the restroom, but it was far to disgusting for any mammal to use. We waited for a very long time to get food, and even longer for the check, service was disappointing. And also the restaurant name claims that they are a brewing company, but when we asked for a craft beer, they said that they «Don’t brew beers anymore», and I ordered three beers, which were on the menu to which they replied to me that they had none of the three, and that all they had was cours lite (which every bar has). The food was VERY average and if you want a medium well burger, you’re getting medium rare, and not what you ordered. The atmosphere seemed like they weren’t even trying, it looked very unsanitary and they a sonic the hedgehog basketball machine, I mean, seriously?
But the lemonade was good, though.

No they do not brew their own beers. The food is subpar and the beers are overpriced. We pulled into the restaurant
because of its curb appeal. Do not make the same mistake we did. You will leave unhappy with a lot less money in your pocket.

Despite the name, they brew no beer, & server was disgusted with us that we thought that by the name «brewing company» that they would make their own beer.
Salad was fresh & menu had a large selection.
It could have been cleaner.
Many tv’s but they weren’t turned on.

I hosted a surprise party for my mom this past weekend in their semi-​private space, the Loft. The event organizer Chastity was very attentive during the planning stages, and the event itself. Especially to help put my mom at ease when she was reluctant to come inside! She obliged any request I asked for, including helping me sing a song to my mom over the sound system. All our guests raved at how delicious the food was (we had the Home Cooking Buffet)
The only thing missing was music (asked for background music to be played over the house system) and handicapped access to the loft on the 2^nd floor– my elderly aunts had a bit of trouble with the stairs. Also drink service was a bit slow since we did not do the open bar option, our server had to go downstairs to the main bar each time we ordered a drink.
But overall great staff and food!
