GNC

I popped into this store to pick up some 5-​HTP. If I go to GNC, it’s usually one of the ones housed inside a Riteaid Pharmacy. This one was a stand-​alone. When I asked the kid who worked there where his 5-​HTP was, he asked, «Is this for monopause?» I said no and why would you ask that? He said that he’s required to. What??? I told him that people who are not experiencing menopause take the supplement as well. He said not really because it’s for mood. WTF??? If only women who are experiencing menopause have mood problems then why are so many MEN and WOMEN on anti-​depressants? To add insult to injury, they only had one brand and one very high price. He hovered for awhile asking if I needed anything else. «Yes, something to knock the ignorance out of you.» Geesh. I’m going to stick with Vitamin Shoppe.
