First time at Kismet and had high hopes as I had heard great things and they also have gluten free bread. I however was entirely disappointed. The staff was not friendly and was complaining how they just wanted to leave and get off work. The Reuben sandwich i got on gluten free bread was terrible and overpriced. I’m well aware gluten free bread is more expensive and smaller but this sandwich was extremely small. It was made on the panini but the bread was soggy and falling apart. It was absolutely disgusting and not even edible. Wish it had been better I go by it daily but I won’t go back.

This place is a favorite of mine. The coffee used is all local(and delicious), the staff are friendly, and the setting gives a homey & warm feeling. The café latte had a free granola bar attached too! I only wish the hours were extended a bit so I could do some more studying. Overall, a great place to come read, relax, study, or whatever you please.

Had a wonderful meal this morning. They were pretty busy and the food came out quickly and looked picture perfect. I got the smoked salmon and it was fantastic. My Cappuccino was really good with lots of foam. Everyone working was really friendly and as before I really enjoy the vibe here. I could easily cozy up and read a book while enjoying a coffee drink.

Yum! Went here on a snow day to get some schoolwork done and got a hot chocolate and a tuna melt. They sat me at a table by an outlet for charging my laptop and my tuna melt was astonishing!!! Soooo fresh!!!

Kismet is the old Zi Pani which had a fair share of issues. I’m a bit of a bagel snob and always thought the Bagel Café(may Habib rest in peace) had the best bagels around. Kismet’s bagels have gotten to be as good as Habib’s — not too chewy, good amount of toppings and fresh. Kismet is so much better organized than Zi Pani and order flow works pretty well. I always like a toasted ET with salmon spread, lettuce, tomato and swiss, open face. That’s usually overwhelming for most bagel shops but Kismet has got my order. My daughters like the egg, cheddar and ham croissants — always with a side of cream cheese so they can«schmear.» On the occasions I’ve ordered soup, I’ve found them to be good. The owner and staff provide great customer service and the atmosphere is fairly cozy. The price is average and worth the consistency in quality and service. And if someone in your group isn’t in the mood for bagels, they can run next door and get pizza or Five Guys and meet you back in the café!

I’m a New Yorker. Because I’m a New Yorker I automatically have a chip on my shoulder about things like bagels. I’m not only a New Yorker but a Jewish New Yorker so that chip on my shoulder is extra big. Know what? Kismet bagels are absolutely fine by me. Good variety, good taste, good texture. It’s all good! The cream cheese selection is good… the quality isn’t quite New Yorker status but it’s good. I’ve had a couple of their afternoon lunch sandwiches on different types of breads and they’re good too but the bagels are the star of the show. They evidently make some sort of vegetable fruit drinks to order and have a huge juicer just to make the point. I’ll stick with the brew, which, by the way, is Zeke’s local which is great. Bottom line-great bagels, good cream cheese, great coffee, great customer service, and a decent overall atmosphere that seems to get a little nicer and more homey each time I visit. As long as they’re baking the bagels I’m eating them! Give them a try and you’ll be hooked!

I’ve been here a couple of times and have been very pleased both times but I have to say I’m a bit of a one trick pony. Since I keep getting the same thing which is the salmon on a bagel. Which is awesome.

Sadly, this place has totally gone downhill since it changed hands. The staff doesn’t seem to know how to make the sandwiches on their menu — I order the same thing and get a completely different sandwich every time. And it takes twice as long to get your food. Don’t bother.

Cute place! I was really excited to find it when I moved here from Ellicott City, but each time I come I have been disappointed. The bagels are not fresh. Hard-to-bite tops and bottoms = day old. Each visit, the wait for food has been long. The wifi is useless and the music is classic rock. I don’t want a Sunday morning side of Jimi Hendrix. It’s always been crowded but my bet is that there are no other alternatives. Looks like the tables are full of people just waiting for their orders to come up. Lastly, they sell drinks in bottles but don’t recycle. Shame. Oh well. Can’t have ‘em all. Want a good bagel? Head towards Baltimore on 26.

Love this place! It’s become a regular bagel and coffee stop for me. Employees are always friendly. Nice atmosphere. From someone who also works in the food service industry, great customer service and food.

I have been to the restaurant 5 – 6 times with hopes that they will eventually learn how to make my order. Their food is good but … Every time I order food they get my order wrong. They forget to add capers, or tomatoes, or even extra cream cheese– which I paid for. If you order a bagel with cream cheese you will get a great bagel with great cream cheese. Except the cream cheese is so thin you can barely taste it. Hence, I always order extra cream cheese. I just wish I would get extra. I just wish one time they would make my order right.

I love the coffee they brew and the bagels are very tasty. The menu may be on the short side and they appear to have a complicated or disorganized cash register which causes you to repeat your order several times. It can get a little loud on weekends.

Kismet is a gem of a café in Eldersburg. They have the best bagels in the area! And their lunch sandwiches are delicious. My favorite is the southwestern — spicy goodness! I’m not a huge juicer type but the samples I’ve had are good. Fresh ingredients, attentive employees and local owners that support the community. Great place!!!

Food is decent, but over priced. The main drawback is that the place feels like the inmates running the asylum… a whole bunch of youngsters who look like deer in headlights with a manager rarely in sight. Consequently, the service leaves a bit to be desired. I once got a BLT and they forgot the bacon… LMAO.

This used to be our go to lunch spot. Food is great but be ready to sit and wait for your food. The service has become unbearably slow. Today I waited 25 minutes for 2 sandwiches. Last week was about the same.

This is our«go to» breakfast/lunch place in Eldersburg. Bagels are fresh and sandwiches never fail. Recent ownership change hasn’t brought any obvious changes. Staff is very friendly indeed. Ask for an «Everything Everything» Bagel n the kids will make sure you get a fully loaded bagel.

I was here a LONG time ago and forgot to finish this review. I was in Sykesville recently again and forgot to stop in, but remembered this drafted review, so here goes(from my draft)… The people here are super friendly and nice. I walked into the place and got a very genuine, businesslike greeting that made me feel like they appreciated the fact that I’d chosen to stop in. The service was very fast, but not rushed. Even as I was leaving, the people were friendly, but not fake about it. The food I got was good. So was the coffee!
