We drove the scenic byway in North Carolina. Chose this place o n a whim. Best best best pork chop slider. Great fried green tomatoes. Fabulous, caring and concerned service. This place needs more reviews… we are from Las Vegas. As good as any on the strip! review helps others learn about great local businesses. Good solid four and a half. Great new addition to the old Jarrett House hotel which has been recently renovated. Strong menu and tres decent wine list. Food is fresh and diverse. Tapas style appetizers are wonderful, with choices like spinach artichoke dip and sliders that are better than any burger in the region(and just about as big). Main course features are a portabella mushroom tower that really pleases the eye and palette, shrimp n’ grits that are credible spicy southern, and trout that was in the stream a few hours ago. Rumor has it that Owner’s mama, a Greek culinary master, personally designed the dishes and personally taught the chef to make them right. Entertainment can be spotty but the new, local, young piano player is a great enhancement… bringing a wide variety and good keyboard skills to make dining a pleasure. Staff is pleasant, available yet unobtrusive, and well-trained. Blake is especially on the money. Can’t wait for al fresco dining patio to be completed… coming soon so don’t miss out!

The Bistro is a casual dining place with a full bar. They are opening outdoor seating soon and wow the food… amazing. I had the saucy meatballs and they were absolutely divine! I love the décor with all black and white pictures of local towns people. How cool is that!
