This is an awesome local spot! Best Blackened Trout ever! Make sure to check it out.

My wife, young daughter, and I were in the area for a short vacation. As we typically do, we got on Unilocal to look for recommendations for lunch. Creekside Oyster House & Grill had the top reviews when we searched from Cherokee. We didn’t realize how far from where we were it really was, but the drive was worth it. I got the fish and shrimp, catfish, blackened. My wife got the steak, well done. Our daughter got chicken fingers. We also got fried pickles. The pickles were okay, a bit too salty though. The chicken fingers were good. The rest was absolutely amazing! I typically don’t like steak well done, and get mine medium. However that was the best well done steak I’ve tried! It was done perfectly inside, but still juicy and tender. It was about an inch thick too. The fish and shrimp were wonderful! My wife typically doesn’t like seafood very much, especially fish, but she absolutely loved it, and ended up eating quite a bit of mine! If we find ourselves back in the area we’ll definitely be stopping in here again.

All you can eat fish and shrimp. Ordered shrimp grilled and fish blackened. Shrimp was tiny — size of bay shrimp. Fish had blackened seasoning but wasn’t seared. Sides — okra and salad — were good. Side note: bartender makes a good martini! And piped in bluesy old timey R&B was great!

What a joke. 30 minutes waiting for dinner for mediocre fried oysters and a cold baked potato. Apparently you have to request butter for the potato and cocktail sauce for the oysters. 2 stars given for the crab cakes, which my GF said were good. If not for that… zero stars. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Amazing food, great drinks, awesome prices!!! This is our favorite place in town to go now that the ownership has changed! The new owner is very active with the guests and seems to be helpful towards the service.

The food is hands down AMAZING! ok so the place looks like a dive. First impressions are not all that great. The only thing that keeps them from earning my 5 star rating is the service can be slow. I mean like painfully slow. They rarely seem to have more than 2 servers on at night. Every time they have a large party they are ill prepared for it and the rest of the restaurant suffers. AYCE crab night is a definite must do. Go ahead and order your first refill right away if you are hungry. If its really busy you might not see your server for 20 – 30 minutes. Slow service aside the food is DELICIOUS. Their grilled mahi mahi is some of the best I have had. Their lobster dip is nice but a little pricey for the portion, real lobster or not.

I agree with all the four star ratings. My family and I all ordered cheeseburgers(that’s just what we were in the mood for). The patties are hand made, with a hoagie type bun. French fries good as well. Like the setting; right next to a creek.

Walked in to this place looking forward to oysters and lobster. No one acknowledged us as we came in to let us know if we need to be seated or to sit anywhere, so we picked a table and sat down. We watched three waitresses come in and out and never acknowledge us. After waiting at the table with menus open for 12 minutes we got up and walked out. I’m sure the food is good but we won’t be coming back here again.

Found this restaurant on Unilocal thought the family and I would give it a try on our vacation. We loved it. The owner met us at the door and sat us. We talked with him awhile and he made you feel right at home. All our steaks were tender and juicy. Lobster tail was huge and cooked to perfection. Best crab cakes I have ever tasted. We all thought the prices were every reasonable. We had an awesome waitress that met our every need who acted like she actually liked her job. Our party of 8 including a 9 year old and 2 year old had a great time and left with full stomachs! I would recommend this place to everyone.

I read about this place on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. My husband and I were impressed! When we drove up I wasn’t sure. Not what I expected. Once we got to outside open patio, it was perfect. Nothing fancy at all, but a great little place on the creek. There was a guy playing saxophone out there. Great ambience! First we ordered Lobster Dip! Great! I got the special which was Lobster Bisque, shrimp, snow crab claws, red rice, and steamed veggies! Oh my! The best! Could not even eat rice and veggies. Too full. My husband ordered Trout. He loved it! We will be back soon!!! Our waitress was on the ball! Very attentive, but not so much that it was annoying. Definitely recommending this place to friends!

We have heard so many good things about this place. My mom was dying to try it so we stopped one day. Our server was fabulous! Probably one of best servers I have ever had. She was super helpful, attentive, and kind. You can also watch the cooks make your food in the kitchen, which is always nice. My mom and I just shared a bunch of different appetizers(fried mushrooms, buffalo shrimp, fried oysters, and crab cakes). The fried mushrooms were just your typical frozen mushrooms and fried. Nothing special, but they weren’t bad by any means and plus it is a seafood place. The crab cakes were fantastic! I would suggest getting it with their housemate tiki sauce. The shrimp were fine as well. Not hand breaded or anything, but it was just an appetizer. I am not a huge oyster fan, but I tried them and they were pretty good! They had a great surf n’ turf special that night which included 2 lobster tails, 8oz filet, and 2 sides for $ 16.90. We weren’t that hungry, but you really can’t beat that! All in all I would definitely go back here. My only complaint would be that it isn’t the fanciest/cleanest place. It looks like a bit of a «hole-in-the-wall» type of joint, but being able to watch your food prepared certainly is a plus. It probably is the best FRESH seafood you will get around these parts!

Drove forever based on the website saying they were open — to find out they were closed. Not sure if they have gone out of business, but we were disappointed.

My bf and I went there once on memorial day when it was the only restaurant open. We wanted to have a nice meal with veggies. Basically anything other then fast food. I ordered a crab cake, which wasn’t that bad but you could tell that the corn on the cobb was frozen and tasteless. My bf ordered a lobster club which ended up having a slab of ham on it and cheddar cheese. Weird. The vegetables with it held so much water from being frozen that he squeezed out a bowls worth. Obviously microwaved. Fresh sides are so easy to do with a meal… I hate that I have to drive by this place daily. Its seems like a good place to booze but think again about eating there. You may feel like crap the whole next day.

Great off the beaten path place for afternoon cocktails creekside & authentic, homemade moonshine. If you’re in the area, you should take the time to drop by & stay for lunch or dinner. The owner, Dewayne, was extremely gracious & we will definitely be back the next time we’re in town.

Finally some FRESH and tasty seafood in WNC! This new restaurant offers all of the traditional seafood dishes you’d find at any other restaurant of its type, but the difference is that their dishes are QUALITY! I had the crab cakes with loaded potato skins and red rice. The cakes were hand made, the potatoes were great and the red rice will be a side I will always get for future visits. My roommate got the fried catfish and it was fresh and hand breaded. Our waiter, Josh, was very friendly and passionate about working there. If you’re looking for a great fish camp for a good price, be sure to make this a stop!
