My wife went to guru for a facial recent and the glow on her face when she returned spoke volumes. She is insisting on my going there soon to see for myself. I plan to take her up on it.

As a fellow body worker, surfer and CrossFitter, I am very particular about who works on me.
Varinda (sp?) has excellent hands capable of targeting and prioritizing the areas needing the most attention. So you don’t really need to guide or offer her much instruction.
Her clinic is clean and professional and in a convenient location.
I would feel comfortable sending family there.

This is the first time I have ever written a review on anything ever. All I have to say is if u want to experience heaven and love through someone’s magical hands all human beings need to see Varinda at guru! I can’t even believe it is possible to have a massage like this every other massage I have had in my life was a waste of time! She is unbelievable. I have not ventured to the other massage therapists but if they work with her I am sure her magic has blessed them ! I love her and thank her and will go back every week!

My roommate suggested we (me and my other roommate) to come in for massages/​facials. Guru is incredible, I say this after visiting some of the best (and overpriced) spas in New York City, so that says alot! I personally did not have a facial, but the massage I got was simply out of this world! Not only do they give you an outstanding massage, they also incorporate balancing your chakras which is a very important part of really relaxing and enjoying the experience (not just the experience, because when I left and even into the next day — I felt good as well as centered). I walked out of this spa feeling better than I had in a long while, and my massage therapist gave me a huge hug afterward — sweet and lovely woman I am ashamed to say I never asked her name. I will definitely be back, with or without my roommates! They deserve all these wonderful reviews, and rest assured they are all true! My roommate got a facial and loved it very much, although my friends did have some issues with the lady that did the facials, in terms of scheduling. Overall — wonderful, I would recommend this place to anyone!

Been back to Guru several times so I thought I would update. Aside from the amazing and relaxing massages the staff is so accommodating and just overall nice. Guru has a relaxing and serene atmosphere. I can’t say enough about them. I have given several GC’s to friends/​family as gifts and can’t wait for their feedback.

One of the best massages I’ve ever had!!! Ask for Varinder! She was my masseuse and she is incredible. She did both cupping and hot stones, neither of which I’ve had before, and I am hooked thanks to her. I highly recommend to anyone who is ever in the Woodbury Long Island area.

My friend and I spontaneously decided we wanted to get a facial today… after consulting Unilocal,we called Guru and they were able to accommodate both of us right away. Upon entering, I was pleased to see they use Eminence products, a reputable brand.
Laurie gave me the most thorough and informative facial. She spent over an hour with me, explaining each product she used and what she was doing as she worked. She also recommended new ways for me to take care of my skin.
My friend also had a positive facial experience — hers was very relaxing with massages. She left feeling very relaxed.
We both highly recommend Guru for facials. We made sure to grab the loyalty card for future visits, as we definitely plan to return.

I desperately needed to relax and get a facial. However, i was searching for a place that would care about my health and wellbeing and not just the simple service and bottom line. I came across the reviews and website for Guru — I called this morning and they fit me in for the last appointment. I had a facial with Laurie that was the most informative I’ve ever received, she gave me great advice to correct my troublesome skin problems and a fabulous facial with immediate results, I then had a body scrub and wrap with Varinda and all of my stress has melted away… and my body feels amazing! I normally don’t write reviews but the quality and care they showed in the services, not to mention the fact that they also stayed open an hour longer just to ensure I got the most out of my experience made me feel compelled to express my gratitude… check it out, you will not be disappointed!

Went today to get Swedish massage. Very relaxing experience and Vrinda did a great job. Will definitely go there again. Felt rejuvenated.

Guru offers an excellent massage. I have tried all of the spas nearby to hand and stone and massage envy and Guru is leagues above them. The therapists at Guru use deep tissue and hot stones (in a regular massage) to really attack the deep pain points plus they often go over the alloted time which is UNHEARD of as whenever I walk into a Massage Envy or Hand and Stone, I feel they try to finish the massage as soon as possible. 5 Stars for sure!

Varinda has created an environment that is spotless, attentive to the needs of the client and suited to the individual. Most spas are over priced, over rated and offer «one size fits all» massages. Having gone for massages twice a month for years an hour from home, I found Varinda and her staff 10 minutes away! My masseuse is certified, knowledgeable and knows the bones in MY body. I’m having a body scrub next, a facial after that and I’m hooked!
