my sister took her daughter & nieces, (twin girls), sweet-​16-​dress-​shopping last weekend —
upon entering this store, an obnoxious saleswoman approaches them quickly, asks if they needed help, GLANCES at the girls and says «only the one with the parent can try on»
POINT OF THE STORY …
twins lost their mom to cancer in October …
HOW AWFUL WAS THAT APPROACH ?
why would anyone want to ever go there?

Disappointed.
I purchased a dress for my daughter which was in stock. It was slightly large on her and I was told they could order the smaller size, but it would be just as simple if they altered it.
Ok, right? But — and this was definitely my bad — I made the appointment for alterations without asking how much it would cost. Somewhere in my mind I thought alterations were covered because of the way the salesperson suggested doing it that way. I had an appointment and they called telling me they couldn’t do it at that time. (Something about a bad situation in the store during business hours which I believe someone else reviewed about.) While on the phone with them, I asked if the alterations were included. The response I got was, «Alterations are not included unless it’s written on the receipt.»
So, I guess you have to make a deal when you purchase for them to cover alterations on a dress they’ve clearly acknowledged is too big but steer you towards. It doesn’t benefit them to order it in the correct size… that would leave them with excess merchandise. They apparently want to move their stock rather than get what the customer needs. And then they want to charge you again so it will fit.
I took the dress to a seamstress today. If I’m going to have to pay for the dress to fit her properly, I’d prefer to give that money to someone else.

Total SCAM ARTIST!!! How is she still in business,?? Sent emails out for Black Friday Sales and when I went said the sale was at the discretion of the owner. Poor Salespeople were mortified to be working for this establishment. Run. Dresses are not up to date. Selling old styles at inflated prices. This is SIMPLY NOT FOR ANYONE

They had NO interest in making a sale!
Wouldn’t give them a dime. After they asked me what color I was interested in, they told me they had nothing that color. Really, royal blue! We weren’t committed to that color but they did nothing to show us anything else or attempt to make a sale. She wanted to see pictures of what we’d seen in that color because she couldn’t believe they were out there. Give me a break –they are all ordered and come in a variety of colors.
Isn’t it there goal to make a sale? Guess not! And definitely not from us!

I usually live by the rule «if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all» so I will not elaborate on my issues but… I will never shop here again… I wish I had looked at the reviews before I ordered the dresses.

I would give this 0 stars if I could. The women who work there are pushy and annoying and convinced me to buy a dress that I didn’t want to. They all explained to me how they would alter it to look perfect and to trust them. Well my first mistake was trusting these mom-​wanna-​be-​business-​ladies because they have no idea what they’re talking about. On three occasions they told me to come back after alterations had been made and each time I went back NOTHING WAS DIFFERENT. Mind you, I was coming from New Jersey so it was quite a commitment. After the last visit, there were still things that needed to be done and they assured me it would be finished and they would send it to me in the mail. Wouldn’t you know it that when I got the dress in the mail, the alterations were STILL wrong and they also left a PIN in the «finished» product. I am livid for falling into their trap from the beginning. DO NOT FALL FOR IT unless you want months of headaches.

I have been meaning to write this review for some time. Please do not support this business, there are so many other wonderful dress boutiques on Long Island with a fantastic selection of dresses for young girls. (Try Omnibus, Outrageous, Nikki’s or Pzaz.)
Unfortunately for me, I had two negative experiences at this store, and the first time the dress we bought was $ 800, good thing we left and did not support this business for a second time! The problem starts with the owner, she is a toxic women and clearly does not appreciate the customers that are keeping her business open. I get better service at Macy’s when I’m looking for a sweater on the sale rack than at this store where I’m spending well over $ 500 on 1 dress!!! Please keep your young girls away from here, as if the attitude, rudeness and sour faces were not enough, I finally drew the line when I overheard an employee say something negative about a young girl trying on a dress. Teen girls are young, self conscious and a negative comment from a stranger makes everything harder for them! How could someone who is in the business of making young girls feel special be so sour and cruel? Please, not even as a last resort don’t support a small business who will not appreciate your business and will give you poor customer service, at best.

HORRIBLE. I wish I could give it 0 stars. I was looking for a specific dress and their website said they had it. I called and the owner told me they had one in stock and I could come and try it on. I drove about an hour to get there and when I asked to see the dress she told me it was a size 0 and it would never fit me, she then continued to show me other, more expensive dresses. She wouldn’t even take the dress that I went there for down from the rack to show me! Never come to this store, the owner is rude and a liar.

I was looking for a review of this store and found what I thought was only 2 on Unilocal but just now when I scrolled to the bottom of the page I found 21 more !!
I should have found them before I wasted my time going to this horrible store. My daughter wanted a certain prom dress and the only place close to my home was this store. I called and the women said YES we do have the dress. We drove over an hour to get there and we asked to see the dress. She took us in the back and pointed to a dress hung way up high on a rack near the ceiling and told us that was the dress but it was already ordered by some one else. She would not even take it down for us to look at. She than started showing us dresses that my daughter was not interested in and tried to push her to try them on. I explained that we came all this way for the dress she told us that she had and she would be able to try on. We finally left and found the dress someplace else and much less expensive.
Don’t go to this store they LIE and are rude and unprofessional!

DISGUSTING! I recently went along with a friend in her what seems like and endless search for her daughter’s prom dress our kids are friends and fellow grad class of 2014, yes I will say I’m glad I have a son lol. Never the less my friend is such a devoted mom when many of our fellow ‘senior class” mom’s limited their daughters prom dress selection on a budget and a few neighborhood stores this mom even ventured to this store as well live in Northern New Jersey and their is no limit on her daughter’s happiness. Therefore I offered to take the ride with her being from NY. She initially went for another dress her daughter fell in love with on line in hopes that this store would have it in stock. Upon arrival we quickly noticed how they rather rush you to buy instead of taking the time to try on. It’s was also obvious they are not doing very well because their are discounted stacks of merchandise all over like Gaudy shoes and purses marked drastically down to $ 10! As my friend’s daughter was in the dressing room I spotted a rack of dresses marked down by a tacky hand written sign to $ 60,admittedly it was a nice dress I urged my friends daughter to try it on even though it was a size smaller than her size 6. Needless to say she loved it enough for it to be the «one» however nervous the sale girl ushered the seamstress over to quickly confirm that she could repair and let out the dress and quoted less than $ 200 for all. Including the $ 60 price tag obviously would be a good buy especially because we initially came for a $ 400 dress that of course they did not have in stock. My friend’s daughter said she wanted to go home and sleep on only because she would have to tell her prom date to change his vest and tie color. When we left of course these rude pushy owner told us we were making a big mistake by leaving because surly the dress would sell. Anyway we left and the next day when my friend drove all the way back their these lying unscrupulous hustlers told my friend that she could not let out the dress and repair a few tears for less than $ 350! On a $ 60 buy yeah ok… All three women ganged on my friend with statements such as «Why did you come if you can’t afford to buy?» and the worst «I am not here to Buy your daughter’s prom dress» WHO SAYS THAT TO A CUSTOMER!!! It’s Simply For You, does. AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU DON’T CARE ABOUT BEING RESPECTED AS A CUSTOMER AND HUMAN BEING TO SAY THE LEAST as well as the fact that the only nice dress worth spending money in this «Boutique» was our $ 60 find!

I agree with the previous reviews. The customer service was subpar, and we didn’t really feel welcome. She wasn’t rude but she didn’t really take the time to listen to what we want, which is important if you are trying to sell someone a product, you might want to listen before running off, or pretend to listen at least. But anyway, didn’t find anything here, the prices are really expensive. We did our homework before coming here, and many of these dresses can be found online for much cheaper. Not sure why it’s so marked up.

Absolutely HORRIBLE. If you’re looking for quality customer service, avoid this place at all costs. Could not stand to be here for more than 10 minutes. The salesperson was rude and extremely unhelpful. Any question I had went unanswered, with you guessed it, an attitude. We called beforehand about a specific dress and were told that they carried it. When we got there not only was it embroidered for someone else, we weren’t allowed to touch it. Glad I only wasted 10 minutes of my life here, never again.
