Took the family here and the food is delicious and the service is excellent! Nothing negative to say about this place. Everything is fresh and the portions are big. I definitely recommend eating here!

There is not a bad word I can say about this place, the food is amazing the service is top notch. Had the grilled octopus it was cooked to perfection, melted in your mouth. The baked clams seasoned perfect and the sauce perfect for dipping the bread into. The house made Cannoli was unreal. If you try this place but the chef a drink cause he earned it with the amazing food they put out.

Wonderful service. Got the extra bread when asked. House wine is really tasty. For the appt grilled octopus is great. Pork was slightly overcooked Veal is heavily breaded Tomato is delicious but too much n over powers the meat Family portion is huge. Definitely one family dish can serve 10 ppl easily Veggies are ok. I think the pan was not hot enough before the oil was put in Good for family gatherings

This place is the best in town! We are from Portland and we are visiting the area for the first time. We have tried 4 different local Italian restaurants this week and this is by far the best. When I thought«maybe I’ve had enough Italian» I’m glad I went for more. The waiter was professional and friendly. The drinks and appetizers were top notch. My family just finished a long hard day and they literally saved our day. When the food arrived it was phenomenal. Try the other places for decent food, but come here for a great family experience. First time eating here & will not return, definetely not worth the price. The menu had hardly any variety, dishes I could get at my local pizzeria, served sinlge order or family style. and everything is ala carte. We started with the baked clams, they looked delicious but they were so bland and didn’t taste like anything. Dinner was the filet of sole francese, family style with a side of pasta marinara and spinach. The fish was fresh and looked delicious but had no flavor, bland and underseasoned. The pasta was ok but the sauce was watery, suprizingly the spinach was very good. Had the tiramisu for dessert which was excellent. The waiter started off strong but faded as soon as his regulars arrived, surprised they have regulars, just saying.

We have eaten here a few times and it was never anything super great but after this meal it is obvious they have given up even trying. There was not one course that had any taste. Bland is being nice. Even the menu is boring. A one pager in plastic with no descriptions to tell you what their house dish’s are. The waiter was ok but always in a big rush never took the time to tell us what the specials of the day were. For what they charge it is definitely not worth the time. $ 11 for a HOUSE Red!!! If you like real Italian food this is not the place.

Came here with my family(group of 13) after my college graduation. Every single aspect of this dining experience was fantastic and memorable — it was the cherry on top of a perfect day. Our table was ready when we arrived and we were seated right away even though the entire group didn’t arrive at the same time. We were also in a room somewhat secluded from the rest of the restaurant which was nice. The white wine was immaculate(see photo). Appetizers and entrées are all huge portions and served family style. Everything we tried was 5 star quality: — fried mozzarella — baked clams — stuffed eggplant — fried calamari — chicken cacciatore — shrimp scampi — penne alla vodka — tiramisu — cheesecake — canoli The service was impeccable. Everyone was very friendly and courteous, and not once did we feel rushed. The manager made sure to say hello to my dad and shake his hand. The cheesecake was divine. This is NOT normal, dense cheesecake that you would expect. It’s made with ricotta and very light and airy. If you like regular cheesecake then you may be disappointed because this tastes very different but I absolutely loved it. Even the leftovers were delicious. We overestimated the amount of pasta that we’d be able to finish and ended up bringing home an order of penne alla vodka. It was surprisingly VERY good the next day. Generally, pasta is not good when it’s reheated but this is a major exception. On our way out, everyone working there said goodbye/congratulations and I felt like I had just been in a family member’s house. I hope I find myself here again.

I like this place. It’s a quaint little place, snugly placed in a strip mall just north of the Syosset train station and its one of the better Italian restaurants on the Island. The food here is very delicious at a fair price. The service was a little inattentive, considering it was pretty slow at the time. I’d recommend coming here with a big group, because the half plates are way to small for me.

Great food and service in a classy comfortable setting. Steve, Rocco, and the team make you feel at home. I appreciate the little things that turn good to great, starting with a basket of warm crisp bread with a bottle of extra virgin olive oil, a Caesar Salad with fresh anchovies; and then, tender octopus in a light garlic sauce or fried calamari served with a classic southern italian red sauce. brought to your table in the saucepan. Their freshly prepared fish entrées are excellent. My favorite is Steve’s Veal Chop but I’m overdue for the Lobster Fra Diavolo — both are too good! A fresh biscotti with a tartufo tops off the meal perfectly. A must go for a relaxing enjoyable meal.

Awful service. They got our take out order wrong and they would not rectify it. We will not go here again.

Recently went here for a work event. The mixed green salad was bland, the penne ala vodka was decent, I just wish the sauce was thicker, veal marsala was good, tiramisu was great, as was the cappuccino. Service was attentive and excellent. Overall a great event and everyone enjoyed the food.

Great staff Great food Must Orders… — Baked Clams — absolutely delicious, will blow any other clams you’ve ever had out of the water(pun intended) — Linguine with Clams — fresh, plenty of delicious sauce, leaves you wanting MORENOODS — Chicken Scarpariello — a flavor explosion of lemon white wine and garlic — a holy combination bathing lots of moist small pieces of chicken on the bone(i think they do off the bone too) Great for large family events or work functions. Been going here since they opened, much better than any of the other Piccola Bussola restaurants, the chef is better and therefore the food trumps the rest. Rocco and Rico are also the best ;)

I have been here a few times– the food is OK. The pastas are nothing special, really, you feel that the pasta was sitting around cooked, then put back in boiled water and covered with sauce. But the fish and chicken were very good!(They will cook it as you like it.) They also have a nice appetizer selection– we had the hot appetizers most of the time(eggplant great) and the bread basket has about three kinds of bread choices. Nice. The cons are the wine and the service. The house wine tasted like vinegar and the waiters try to take your plate away as soon as they can, even to reach over another diner in mid– bite. Some people are slow eaters! Nobody likes a rush job. If they can fix these things, well, they will be golden.

The maitre d’ was absolutely rude. He did not acknowledge my party as we waited for a table for four. One of the waiters sat us. The food was excellent, unfortunately when the bill was delivered they attempted to overcharge me by $ 100! If you decide to eat here, ensure your bill is calculated correctly. I will never return here or there other chains on LI again. Beware…

When is three stars a «good» review? I’d say here. We came here for a birthday party recently and the restaurant did a very nice job with the setup. The food came at the appropriate times(and all together) for nearly 30 people, and the staff was prompt and courteous. As for the food? It was just ok. The salad was fine. The pasta with marinara sauce was unoffensive. And the chicken parmesan was, well, ok. Not too chewy and tasty enough. They had some nice kids courses too with pasta and chicken fingers. It satisfied everyone. Yet, I still feel a bit underwhelmed by this place. I suppose it’s the perfect place for the 8 – 80 year old. Decent prices, good service, standard Italian fare food. Would I come back? Probably not. But this would make a perfect place to host a family affair or take those grandparents out to dinner.

I’m going to go 4 stars here. We had Christmas Eve dinner and it was lovely. The staff weas attentive and entertaining. Meals are served family style so you tend to over order. The stuffed mushrooms appetizer were fantastic, but the mozzerella and calamari apps were just greasy fried food. I wouldn’t usually order mozzerella, but the kids wanted — and it was a huge artery blocking blob. I do have to compliemnt the marinara sauce served with them, in a small sauté pan — cute, delicious — I would buy it by the quart to-go. We ordered three enrtrees, chicken francese — delicious although the lemon should have stood out more, The cutlets themselves were nice and thick, sometimes in a family style setting they beat the chicken sdo thin… We had Filet of sole oreganata — VERYGOOD, excellent flavor. The last was the steak«Romana» maybe — I am forgetting the name — it came to the table crusted in a garlicky buttery bread-crumby crust and oh boy was that good. We had ordered it medium — and only the very center of each piece(2 steaks on the platter) were medium — very tasty — next time I will know to order medium rare. Most of the steak came home becasue for 6 people 3 apps, 1 pasta and 3 entrees were too much ! We dined on a gigftcard received from a friend — what a great gift !

I went with my wife & family to steves ll. It wa disappointing to say the least. We were Rushed to order, rushed to eat. No body came to the table to see if everything was OK. To top it off! After dinner we were told if we are finished there r other people waiting for tables. A total rush job. I won’t be going back there I would not recommend it to anyone else.
