Laface Salon

The salon is very beautiful and spacious. The restroom is clean and nicely decorated. And they have fresh coffee for their costumers!
This is a review specifically for one of their stylists, Katie Lane.
I saw a photo of gorgeous black hair that Katie had colored and posted a pic to her professional page on Facebook (with the customer’s permission of course!) and the results were so pretty i immediately contacted her to see if coloring my very dark black asian hair was possible.
Katie was super helpful in recommending what would work best on my hair type, while keeping my wants in mind. She asked me to come in about ten days before my appointment so she could do a strand test (she discretely snipped a small lock of hair from the middle back of my head to test how it would take to coloring) and when I arrived for my appointment she showed me all the different dyes she had tested on the strand and walked me through what she was going to do.
The process took a very long time (which Katie warned me about beforehand) because I had asked her to cut my hair beforehand, then she had to place all the foils and then it had to dry and she had to rinse and then blowdry and style it. All in all I was there for about 6 hours. Katie kept me comfortable the entire time, and it actually flew by (having 6 hours to be pampered away from my 2 year old twins is a luxury for this mama!). She offered me water and fresh brewed coffee. The restroom in the salon is very cozy and clean. Katie supplied magazines and was excellent company!
I am soooo happy with both my cut and color! my appointment was the tuesday before thanksgiving, and over the holiday I received so many compliments from family members at thanksgiving gatherings! I love love loved my experience with Katie and am so glad to have found a permanent stylist!

I got a wax with the groupon and I love the work they did and had a really great and friendly experience overall. I’m going to continue to get waxes from this salon once or every other month from now on.

I decided to try Laface Salon because they offered a groupon deal for waxing. I was completely disappointed by my experience and will not bother returning to redeem the other portion of my groupon deal. I felt the room was not clean or very private (I was told to undress, but the door to the waxing room opens directly to the main room of the salon, and was not given anything to cover up with). The wax would not set correctly, so it was extremely painful. It was a mess, too. I felt the woman waxing was not professional with how she handled the situation as she kept apologizing and I felt uncomfortable with the whole experience. I would not recommend this salon for waxing.

I highly recommend Katie. She is a colorist/​chemist who specializes in corrective color. She saved my hair and I’ve been going to her ever since. Best cut and highlights I’ve ever gotten. She has a keen intuition and will let you know what will look and work best for your hair. Amazing results!
