Stopped by for the stretch Italian bread and a container of their hot tomato oil. Huge loaf of bread is $ 3.50 and $ 6.99 for the tomato oil — which a little goes a long way. The bread is great warmed up with a little butter, their tomato oil or some dipping olive oil. We also love it grilled with some garlic olive oil. We got a super thick, tasty chocolate chip cookie which was lovely heated up slightly and a chocolate caramel macaroon with slightly crispy outer texture — it was lovely. This bakery location is directly across the street from Pastabilities, their restaurant — where you must go. Easily able to park at parking garage just down street. This location also has some great flavored focaccias, pastas, their homemade pasta sauces and other bread varieties daily.

Ate an excellent Thai beef salad with rice noodles. Fast and friendly service. Glad to see gluten-free alternatives in an restaurant that specializes in bread and pasta. I went during lunch. When I tried to return for dinner it was quite crowded.

You should go here for the aroma! It is amazing. Fresh bread, spices, sweet baked goods and such nice people!

This my go-to breadshop! As I live in downtown, I literally go every weekend early in the morning to pickup something. They have their well-known stretch breads which are crispy on the outside and have a good dense chew on the inside. I love having this hot with either butter or straight out of the bag. They also have a range of Foccacias which I literally have tried everyone. My favorite is the Asiago which has cheese on top and inside! Toast for a few minutes before eating… and wow! Their raisin pecan rolls are also great for snacking.

Made ourselves a little picnic from the fresh baked bread and spicy oil tomato sauce. The spicy oil tomato sauce is a major win. Haven’t been able to re-create it myself, but worth buying a jar and dipping just about anything savory into it. Recommend.

This is a little bread shop located in downtown syracuse New York. They bake there own bread right in front of you in this shop. It is a local owned business. I tried the Gorgonzola onion bread. It was amazing I toasted it put a little butter on it. Between the cheese and butter on the crusty tasty bread it was like a little piece of heaven. I also had the stretch bread which we dipped into there signature hot oil sauce. The signature hot oil sauce is a mixture of garlic oil and spicy tomato sauce… It is delicious. A glass of wine and a couple pieces if this bread with the hot oil sauce makes me very happy! You have to try this little gem!

Good bread. Tomato oil is good. A little expensive.

So I finally did get a loaf of their stretch bread to go with the hot tomato oil. Delicious. Crispy on the outside. Soft and airy in the middle. Great for dipping.

Absolutely worth a trip. The stretch bread is great, as are their various types of focaccia, but what you really need to get are the cheddar oregano rolls. Not the cheddar oregano bread(although that’s pretty good too) — the rolls. They will change your life.

This is the kind of bakery I would own. Its a very small space across the street from Pastabilities on Franklin half a block south of W Fayette. They don’t have a huge variety of bread to choose from, but the italian stretch bread that is the staple of their selection, is quality. Its a little pricey, about $ 1.50 more than you’d pay for a basic italian loaf at Wegmans but the nice thing about Pasta’s stretch bread is that it doesn’t get stale as quickly as Wegmans.(You can also get the Pasta’s Daily Bread at the Syracuse Real Food Co-op if you live in Westcott or University Neighborhood.)
