If your in Armory Square for a quick visit stop here for a bite to eat! THEYHAVEREALMAPLESYRUP! Walking in the door you get the smell, view, and feel of a nice little hometown bakery, which is always nice. The smell of the fresh pastry’s and you can see the fresh baked bread on the counter. You will also see there is diner style booths and a few tables to sit at. This allows you to sit and have breakfast or lunch comfortably. –The service was simple and fast. –The good was hot and tasty(i had 2 eggs, home fries, pumpernickel toast, and sausage. hard to mess that up… although one of my over medium eggs was broken. not a big deal for me though) –The coffee was average like every other diner. I will definitely be back to try some pastry’s and maybe the french toast. They have free wifi also!

Never realized that Provisions serves lunch(and thus never stopped in). I’ll certainly return. They’ve got a couple soups and small pizza options, along with a rotating list of sandwiches on excellent bread. And I don’t think anything’s higher than $ 7. And the baked goods are varied(everything up to peanut butter pretzel cookies and back down to old standbys like bear claws and danish) and very inexpensive. Atmosphere is nice, not artificial or hip. Just a small lunch joint with table service that seems to support some sort of charitable cause(what that is, I’m not sure, since Provisions doesn’t have a web presence). The hours are limited, but it’s a good lunch spot.

I have been going to Provisions since 1999. It is one of my favourite places in the world. The chocolate chip cookies are to die for. Grilled cheese with bacon sandwich is also a classic. I live in London now, so do not get there as much as I like, but I always ensure I pay a visit to Provisions when I am back in Syracuse. The quality has remained top notch over all these years

Stopped in for a peanut-butter cup cookie; it was big and excellent. Looking forward to trying a few more baked goods. Lunch, too.

Excellent bread, cookies, and other baked goods. It is run by Transitional Living Services, so you can feel good about supporting the good work that they do!
