I went here for breakfast with my daughter when I was pregnant with my younger daughter. I had a host of food aversions while pregnant. I found the staff to be beautifully accommodating to my needs & had a breakfast porridge that was out of this world, a smoothie, & some«home fries» type potatoes. The porridge was filling because it was loaded with protein sources, like seeds & grains, that I could actually eat(Meat & eggs were on my aversion list; I had to treat them like allergies.). My daughter had eggs & was quite content to scarf them down. During that pregnancy, I was always fighting to get enough protein & was rarely satisfied at meal time. I left LoFo full & happy! The prices are a bit higher than what I like to spend on a breakfast, but the quality of the food & the top notch service we received were worth every penny.

this is like a vegan persons wet dream. It’s your typical hipster joint, right down the mason jars they use as water glasses and the dude with an acoustic guitar for sunday brunch. It was the only place open on a sunday when my father came to visit, so it was all we had to choose. I didn’t love it, certainly creative choices, but it felt weird being there without being a hipster type person myself. I was not their target audience for sure.

YoLO LOFO… For realsies. One of my most favorite spots in town! So darn innovative, fresh, local, seasonal… and amazingly delicious! You can motorboat down an amazing burger… or you can get crispy fried rabbit atop a waffle. Who would have thought. Abigail Henson’s dedication to serving an allergy sensitive menu appeals to a wide range of dietary needs, so everyone goes away feeling represented… and full! I can’t wait until LOFO comes back from hiatus, for brunch and so much more!

Love Food, Local Food. The attention to food from source to presentation that Syracuse deserves. Diverse menu. Great service. Local food. Vegan options. Upscale preparation and presentation. Bistro style locavore with a variety of ingredients and flavors. I am especially taken by their vision and mission. Watch for the upcoming shifts in LoFo’s local presence. Great for brunch and dinner. Juice, vegan ice cream, kallettes appetizers, loved the cauliwings and groat risotto. Keep up the good work.

One in a million is what i’m calling this review. I am usually very satisfied with the food and service here. So much that i was disappointed today when the brunch menu was the same as i’ve tried most of the menu offerings. We wanted something other than breakfast at 2:30pm so we asked for other options and we were told the beunch menu was it until 5pm for dinner. We asked about soups and was told about the vegan chili. We ordered that, cauliwings and the rabbit and carrot cake waffle. The vegan chili was tasty, the cauliwings were awesome but the rabbit was disappointing. I’ve had this dish before and the waffle is usually on the sweeter side(like chicken and waffles) and the rabbit was so undercooked the it was hard to bite the meat off. In fact, the center was so bloody and red that we had more oat crusting than meat. Additionally, the service was terrible! We waited 20+ minutes before our drinks arrived after asking twice for them. We also asked for water refills in which only one of us got it. The cauliwings were served first and then the other dishes. Once we were eating there were no more refills, no more waiter service. If the waiter came over to see how we were i would have showed him my overcooked and under flavored waffle and raw rabbit pieces. Other patrons waited as well and looked just as annoyed as we were. I cannot stress enough that this is not typical of Lofo, perhaps it was a née cook, someone called out… I don’t know but today’s experience really was disappointing.

I LOVE this place! Wow! Syracuse has so many gems!!! My friend and I split the make your own burger and the chicken/pear sandwich… damn! both were incredible. To top it off, we ordered the burger rare… specifically asking to make it as rare as they can make it… and what can I say– they did! It was fabulous. I love good meat and a rare burger. LOFO is a wonderful establishment and addition to Armory Sq. area.

What a treasure to find here in Syracuse! I am staying here for work and wanted to grab brunch today, so I did some research. Alas, I found LoFo! The staff is incredibly friendly and the service is quick without feeling rushed. The food is EXCELLENT. Fresh and local ingredients. I had the special which was an egg white omelette with sautéed veggies — broccoli, onions and mushrooms. I added smoked Gouda to it too.

One of the best meals I’ve ever had was last night at Lofo… smoked duck neck appetizer, fresh scallops shucked just before service, homemade ice cream & desserts, $ 4 beers… you can’t lose.

The quality of the food here can be really on point but the service often leaves something to be desired. I have experienced slow service and complications with paying the check in groups. Sat in an unbearably hot window table today and waitress refused to ask another waitress to let us move to her table. We had to ask ourselves. The table next to us had the same issue. A uv blocking shade would be an easy fix. Found a twist tie in my pickled veggies. Waitress seemed unphased when I informed her but she did give me a $ 2 discount without me asking. Overall staff is courteous and would go back for the food but I usually leave there feeling like the service could be better.

First time here… I am not vegan or do I live by only gluten free products. That being said… This place was amazing! We had the fig potatoes… Taste like bacon and butter, how you get that from figs… I don’t know. Peach and Cream French Toast… So good my mouth is watering now. The toast is made from stretch bread… Looked like sour dough… But it was soft and flavorful! Lastly, we tried the brunch special and it was the most heavenly sandwich! I will not miss out on eating here again when I am in Syracuse.

Was a quiet night there at 7:15pm. Water was flavored with lemon and cucumber but it did not taste like either, possibly refilled a few times. The water glasses were small jelly canning jars that had to be filled often, more often than the waitress was there to fill them. Ordered the caliwings with the mild non-BBQ sauce but waitress brought ½ and ½. «Oh well, you ate them.» The egg appetizer was excellent, great mix of savory flavors. Had the chicken main course which was served with gnocci that were cooked perfectly. The chicken looked good but the flavor was bland and it was a bit dry. The tomato salad with chicken came with the chicken in a bowl of broth, and looked interesting, but was definitely NOT worth $ 16. Our guest from LA was underwhelmed and it was our first time there, and likely our last.

Small town vegan food is exactly what people who hate vegan food expect vegan food to be: slow and bland

If you haven’t had the beet burger, you don’t know what you’re missing! LoFo is so great. As Vegan’s we’re always looking for whole, delicious, fresh foods that we can eat with our omnivore friends. If you want fresh food, made in house, that’s also delicious go to LoFo. You’ll feel good about what you had to eat.

Holy delicious beverage program. Fresh juices were on point, smoothy was decadent(and healthy) but the cold brew coffee with coffee ice cubes sealed the deal. #coffeeisforclosers Food was a great value and full of tasty fresh veggies, smart dressings and punchy sauces were a plus. Casual service was really hospitable and welcoming, if I lived near here I would be a regular for sure.

Went here for a quick bite while shopping. The food was quite good — not mind blowing, but good. My mother ordered a salad with«dragon sauce»(their yummy tahini-based dressing) and a scratch-made biscuit with maple butter(also delicious). I ordered the coconut three bean soup with gluten free bread on the side. It provided a nice bite to tie us over from a late breakfast to dinner. For what we ordered, it was a little bit pricey(for Syracuse) but not too awful. Would probably come back if I was in Armory Square looking for a quick bite!

We had a wonderful, fun, friendly, happy dinner! Right across from urban outfitters. Check out Pepe’s new outfit. We had fresh juice to die for, luscious bean soup, out of this world burger, beet salad and pickled veggies. And a lovely rose water and cardamom pudding to boot. Yum.

Lofo is a cool spot in downtown Syracuse that offers vegetarian and vegan food options. The menu is full of greens, veggies, and grains to suit any healthy eater and everything I’ve gotten at Lofo is really good. I definitely recommend the Buddha bowl and the avocado havarti. While there is a lot of variety within the menu, if you’re looking for a more happening atmosphere(or a good burger), you may want to skip on Lofo. It may also seem a little pricy for the food that you’re getting with the average meal costing anywhere between $ 10-$ 20.

Dropped buy this spot around brunch time this past weekend. I had a bowl with rice, veggies and added chicken. The man at the counter was very pleasant, and the atmosphere of the place is inviting. The bowl was certainly healthy, which I wanted, but tasted pretty basic. The veggies seemed a bit overcooked, and the bowl just didn’t have much of a flavor punch. I wanted a healthy juice, but my pet peeve is if a place doesn’t seem very busy, and they’re charging $ 6.50 for a juice, I don’t want it pre-made. I want it made fresh while I wait. Otherwise, why not just go to the grocery store and buy the juice there? I don’t go to a restaurant for pre-made product. Anyway. If I lived in the Cuse I might give them another shot, as there’s not much like it in the area. They just need to ramp up the flavor profile a bit. And make juice to order – or charge less for it.

really wanted to eat here but the baby was not having it. Grabbed a tea to go, great suggestion by the lady behind the counter. bummer was that the people working seemed so quiet and not into anything. No conversation no nothing… Odd.
