NEVERAGAIN. ordered a simple sandwich and soda and I’VEBEENWAITINGFORTWOHOURSNOW. I cannot believe the inadequacy of this place. When I called to see if it was on its way they said the driver had left thirty minutes earlier to deliver it and I live five minutes from pita pit. Never ordering from here again.

The food took 1 hour and 50 minutes to arrive, and it was cold. They didn’t even include the right drink. Really disappointed.

I love this place! Affordable, quick, and fresh. I hit up this place each time I visit when I want something fast and it never fails to hit the spot!

Got food poisoning here almost immediately after finishing my pita. No more gyros for me! T_T. Alas.

You’re up the hill and craving something fast and healthy… pita pit to the rescue! For $ 7 – 8, you can score yourself a chicken souvlaki pita(wheat) stuffed with unlimited veggies(spinach, alfalfa sprouts, peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, olives, and more) PLUS a side of pickles. be strong… resist the temptation of varsity and chipotle… and enjoy your tasty, hearty and(heart-)healthy meal!

Pretty decent for a quick lunch or meal on the way to a game. The prime rib pita was pretty good with as many veggies as you could want. They have a large selection of different sauces to mix it up as you see fit.

Barely made 3.0 Stars in my book. Located on Marshall St, next to Jimmy Johns and a now closed Crêpe boulevard, it has remained a constant staple for the many students from SU and Upstate. It offers the choice between white or wheat pita with your choice of meat and toppings; leading to a fairly large meal. The price is decently cheap($ 7.5−8.5/pita) but it is nothing amazing; only relatively fast. I’m not sure about the experiences of others; but I felt my experience with this restaurant was subpar compared to the other options available in Syracuse and off Marshall St. Recommendations: Go to King David’s close by if you want Mediterranean food and have time.

The food seems like it’s rather healthy. They give many vegetarian options, and they are also open late for the college students out late at night. The food is okay though. Not bad. Not the best. The prices are okay. The staff are generally very nice and the portions are pretty good.

Pita pit is conveniently located near SU, Upstate medical U. and Crouse Hospital. It’s good for a quick bite, but it isn’t anything special. They have some pretty okay sauces that you can spice up your sandwich. Overall, it’s a cheap, quick, no frills sandwich shop for someone who wants a sandwich but, doesn’t feel like eating a sub.

The portions are huge and the veggies always taste very fresh! The staff and service, however, always seem to be on the sour side.

I have worked near this restaurant for over ten years. I never really had a great experience other than the speed of the service, which if not done right, causes the product to lack its potential. BUT, recently(2013) I have been there twice in the past 6 months. The service was quick but not rushed, and the Pitas, both times, were very good! This is, in my opinion, one of the few places in the area that tastes good, and doesn’t make you sick.

The Pita Pit’s an alright place with friendly staff and cheap pitas. I love how you can choose and customize what you want in your pita as it goes along the assembly line. You can have it be completely your own even before you receieve it. The portions are huge and very nice on your wallet. Sadly enough, there’s not really anything else that makes The Pita Pit’s food stand out from other establishments other than their large portions and value.

This place is great for a quick, inexpensive, healthy meal. I’ve been in town for a project the last several months and it’s walking distance from the hotel. Staff here is always great and they are really generous with the fillings.

Pita Pit is ok but I miss Pita el Saha! This place has some good sauces though. Never really had any issues. Very quick service

Located near Syracuse university, Pita Pit is another great quick stop for a quick bite. Choose between a white or wheat pita, choose your own meat, choose your veggies, and choose your sauce to personalize your own pita wrap. I ordered the pita wrapped with gyro meat. You’re also allowed to ask to grill some of your veggies together with your meat. Came here during the winter, so a hot pita was the perfect snack to warm our bodies up! Great place for college students for a fast, tasty, and cheap meal to keep you from hanging the next day!

I absolutely love the Pita Pit. In all seriousness, some of the best food you can get on Marshall Street. I always order online with GrubHub(previously CampusFood), and you can choose all of your own ingredients. The ingredients are always fresh, and they don’t skimp either — I’ve never received a pita that was NOT the size of my face. Besides the bomb food, my only complaint is that delivery is not always as fast as I would hope(typically an hour), but I’m pretty sure that I’m just always hungry and picky. Hands down, my favorite place to order food from. For the quantity, quality, and filling-up-my-belly factor, it’s also the least expensive. Boom.

I don’t know if it’s just the 3 people that happened to be working that day but: 1. the cashier charged me $ 1 more for my order than she should have(probably confusing my order with the Chicken Crave since that’s a dollar more) 2. I ordered two Chicken Souvlaki Pitas and one of them hardly had any chicken. There was probably more lettuce in one pita than there was chicken in both pitas combined. I usually go to Pita El Saha just down the street and I’ll continue going there. Pita Pit is overpriced and it’s pitas just don’t taste as good.

So after many festive nights in college that culminated in early morning meals along Marshall St, I have to give Pita Pit its due. The flavor is pretty darn amazing, the texture and consistency of the ingredients contrast well and are always fresh. Whether you go for falafel, gyros, or the traditional pita, you always get to choose your favorite combination of vegetables, cheese, and sauces/condiments. Oh yeah, and their cookies are pretty good, too. My only complaint has been that there is no seating in the joint, a problem which is currently being remedied by renovation. We’ll see how that turns out!
