The service is absolutely horrible. I ordered a slice of Molten chocolate lava cake to go and it’s been 30min. The cake is $ 6 I gave her $ 10 she asked if I wanted change… When I opened up my cake back in my room it was a iced cold chocolate cake! Where is the«molten lava» that’s supposed to be oozing out?!

The food honestly takes FOREVER to come out. We waited one hour for appetizers. Typically if a restaurant takes that long, the place is slam packed with people… there were only 3 other tables of people maybe 15 people total in the entire restaurant. The waitstaff was kind and kept apologizing for the tremendously long wait stating that the kitchen is very backed up. Our entire order took 3 hours. However, after waiting so long, the food was mediocre at best. Will never come back.

Omfg, is my food ever coming!!! Do yourself a favor and stay away. Service is crap. I am seriously considering punching our waiter in the neck. Baby Jesus hates this place.

While nothing will blow you away here, Redfield’s has been adequate for me during some snowy winter days where I didn’t want to venture out anywhere else. There is a nice bar area as you walk in on the left and await your hostess to seat you. The restaurant may be maxed out at about 15 tables total with a hidden room on the right hand side that slides open to reveal the breakfast options. I was more disappointed by the breakfast buffet than I was lunch. The buffet itself was sloppily put together. Signs didn’t match what was in the warmers and I had to ask for more bowls to be put out. For $ 14.95, it’s also pricey for what you get. Many IHG brands offer a continental breakfast but don’t expect that at this Crowne Plaza. For lunch, I can actually keep it below the breakfast cost with a nice sandwich or salad. My spinach salad was fresh, well constructed and had just the right amount of dressing without drowning. Service has been adequate even though the woman I had for breakfast seemed a bit overwhelmed taking care of 5+ tables all alone, probably why it felt so disorganized. I don’t see too many in the Syracuse area making the restaurant a destination but that is rarely what hotel eateries are, anyway. Be prepared to open your wallet and hopefully you are here on a business expense account. Lunch is an excellent value. Dinner? Not so much.

Over priced for portion u receive. Had better food and greater portion at an Applebee’s. Staff and servers were pleasant and helpful though.

Located in the Crowne Plaza hotel, Redfield’s is a typical hotel restaurant. Interior décor is pleasant. Service is friendly, not hovering, though perhaps at time inattentive. Food-wise I can only review the breakfast buffet. Hotel restaurant breakfast buffets are often trouble spots because the incentive is to create vast quantities of food at the expense of quality. Redfield’s buffet falls into that trap. Bacon was overdone, sausage links were underdone, homefries were tasteless,(as in «without taste,» not in the sense of tacky or gauche). The gravy for the biscuits was a nice surprise: at first glance, it looked awful: sort of a greenish color I had never seen in sausage gravy before. But I decided to try it, and it was actually rather good. Not all-time great, mind you, but serviceable. I would be curious to see how the quality of the food shapes up from the a’la carte side of the kitchen; I’ll update this review if that happens. Rounded up a star for friendly service.
