Brassfields Salon and Day Spa

I had been going to this salon since I was 16 (now 21). The only reason I no longer go here is because I moved up north and don’t want to fight traffic to get there :(Heidi is my girl! She does me, my mom’s, and my sister’s hair. She really does a FANTASTIC job with understanding what you want and meshing that with what she feels would look the best on you. If she thinks the color or cut you want won’t work she’s honest with you and works to find the best fit. Great cuts, Great color, Great service. The only reason I do not put 5 stars up is because in the past the front desk staff has been extremely off putting in their attitudes and also because they have mis-​booked several of my appointments. I will also state that the past few months, they re-​hired a whole new front staff that is MUCH better. Way friendlier and accommodating. I would highly recommend this place (: Love you guys!

I had a great experience here for a massage and a cut and color, however my gel spa manicure chipped after 3 days. I am going out of town for the weekend and they would not accommodate me to fix my nails before I left. Salon is open until 9 pm but the latest they said they could accommodate me was 4:30pm. I recommend the hair services and the massage, but go elsewhere for nails (Lotus is great!)

I highly recommend Joelle, great stylist! As a new client, Joelle took her time to listen to me regarding my likes and dislikes. I have really thick, textured hair without curl. It has been difficult to find a stylist who understands (or cared to) how to work with my hair, and I’ve finally found one! Thanks Joelle!

Sarah did a balayage on my hair yesterday and I turned out amazing, if you need a balayag a done suggest you go to her. Everything about my experience was great. Never been pleased with how my hair turned out in the passed until I went to her.

I have done quite a few different hairstyles since the summer. I went from a blonde with highlights to pastel pink. Joelle was so knowledgeable and would not stop until she got it right. She has since helped me to tone down the bleach blonde hair that’s left over from the pink to a more subtle natural hairstyle that will look good when growing out. I have finally found a hairstylist and salon I trust and will keep going back.

Probably the most chic salon I’ve ever stepped foot in. My stylist Alyssa was so sweet and very detailed about what she wanted to do with my hair and It turned out great. Prices are a tad bit high but for the experience it is worth it. There is beautiful art all over the walls done by the owner himself (how cool!) and they have an upstairs and downstairs. Literally the only complaint I have is the front desk workers were distant.
Noteworthy — the lemon infused water was extremely delicious.
Also noteworthy– Alyssa specializes in curly hair.

One word… AMANDA. I followed her here from another salon because she is the best! I go to her for my eyebrows and they have never looked so good. She is so meticulous, caring, sweet, extremely talented and I just love her. I get so many complements now and feel amazing. She will transform your face and your life! Go see Amanda for all your beauty needs, she does it all!

Omg! I absolutely love the salon. Jaz is amazing. She’s super friendly and completely corrected my color. I will definitely be going back!

Got a sunless/​spray tan from Amanda last week, and everyone keeps telling me I look great and well-​rested. She does am amazing job and keeps me on point! It was a perfect way to look and feel better as we head into cold and rainy times!

I hadn’t been to Brassfields in many years until last week. I saw Amanda for waxing and MJ for a haircut. They both did an amazing job. Amanda is extremely professional and knows her stuff about waxing. I have been her client for a few years now and I can’t imagine going to anyone else. I had never had MJ cut my hair before and I am so happy I was put in her seat that day! She did exactly what I wanted to have done and actually made it much better and made my confusing words and pictures of celebrities turn into reality. Can’t wait to go back in November. The salon has been totally re-​vamped and is gorgeous inside.

Just had my hair professionally done for the first time in about 5 years. I was scared but Shay did an amazing job. She cut it exactly how I wanted and was super nice and personable. Everyone there was helpful and knowledgable on their products. I highly recommend this salon!

Love this salon! It was my first time going there on Friday and I absolutely felt very welcomed. I got my lashes done by Karly and she did amazing, I’m very happy with them! She took such good care of my lashes and took the time, if you want your lashes done definitely come to her! Thank you Karly

Gina has been styling me and my mother’s hair for about two years. She really cares about making the client happy. The overall experience is great, but the part I always look forward to the most is the hair washing, it is so relaxing. I always get compliments on my hair and I am happy to give credit to Gina and Brassfields. The salon is very clean and I love the modern/​tranquil spa colors. The July 2015 redesign is really nice too.

Shay Brown has been doing my hair for years and is the best there is!!! I am always so amazed at the work she creates. I will continue to use her for years to come for my hair. She is brilliant at what she does! Thank you Shay for always making me feel so beautiful.

Shay is a miracle worker! I was lucky enough to find her while searching for a new hair stylist. She listens to what you want and nails it every time! My hair can be a challenge because it is so thick and long, but Shay did such a great job with it I won’t go anywhere else I highly recommend her. The salon is also very nice and well maintained with a friendly staff.

Got a great cut by Priya Harmon here. Fast, good conversation and many compliments on my new style. I have a business meeting with all the national reps next week and will go in confident with a clean look. Thanks Priya and Brassfields. My wife also got a haircut and it looks great! She went short and it nice. With the warm weather coming up she is ready for summer styles.

I’ve loved this place in the past, and recently discovered they advertise for a «dry style.»
From what their site says, and what’s been explained to me by stylists, you come in with clean hair, and they either curl or straighten it for you. Fab. And it’s only $ 22! Heck yes I’ll pay that to have my hair styled on the days I don’t feel like doing it myself.
Except, the last time it went, I was charged $ 55 instead! That’s literally more than double what I was quoted. The reasoning? It took 45 minutes instead of a half hour. My hair is just past should length and if average thickness. I’m too nice to argue, so I paid, tipped and left. But I just feel robbed!
The last time I came here I was quoted $ 50 for makeup, ended up being $ 85 and I was not happy with the outcome.
They also have little «customer notes» that I am sure I wasn’t supposed to see, and mine had a note about me using a gift card to tip & to make sure I was never allowed to do that again. I felt extremely offended as it was a gift card to their store, and I’ve always been an excellent tipper — I just didn’t have cash on me. I could have not tipped.
I won’t be back. I tried to love you again Brassfields, I really did.

I had a mishap when I first came here which left a really bad taste in my mouth. I booked an appointment about a month in advance and when I walked in, they didn’t have me on the schedule. The front desk person who booked my appointment booked it on a different date than what we discussed on the phone. I was a bit peeved about that but I rescheduled my appointment as I was referred to Nikki for a lash perm by a good friend so I wanted to give her a chance. I’m so glad I did! I’ve been going to Nikki for lash perms and skin care for about 2 years now and I wont trust anyone else. She is very informative, helpful, friendly and I love my time with her. She is amazing at lash perms! My first facial peel was with her and as such, I was super nervous about it but Nikki made me feel at ease and walked me through the process and after the treatment, I felt great about my peel. She also recommended some products that I still use to this day.
The lobby of the salon is very nice. The spa room/​lounge in the back is very relaxing, smells great and makes you want to take a nap.
The only down side I’ve experienced is the front desk — I’ve never really felt a warm and friendly greeting but maybe that is just me expecting a lot, I’m not sure. Obviously, that doesn’t stop me from visiting.
But if anyone is looking for a lash perm or facial care, Nikki is your go-​to gal!

I recommended this place to a family friend after my other friend told me she got her ‘wet waves’ look done here.
Not only did the owner not do the finger wave look she asked for, they did PIN CURLS. They asked if they could trim her hair so it would look better. She said yes. An hour and a half later, not only did she NOT get what she wanted, she was charged for it! Mind you, it was her wedding day and she left in TEARS. they charged roughly 50 – 70 for styling and $ 70 for the ‘trim’!
