ANY PLACE THAT REFUSES TO PROVIDE RECORDS OF THE SERVICE THEY HAVE PERFORMED IS HIDING SOMETHING AND IS NOT TRUSTWORTHY.
Whoever I spoke with on the phone from their team seemed to be not all there mentally. Recently bought a collector’s item car and was told this place used to service it. I called to inquire about maintenance records, to which I’m legally entitled. I did not ask for the previous owner’s information. Didn’t even mention that as the man on the phone rudely interrupted me and told me he won’t give me the customer he works for information. I asked what customer, because I’m the owner of the car now. He interrupted me again yelling and hung up the phone.
I called back. The same man answered and proceeded to berate me for wanting maintenance records that are legally mine.
I will have to go through legal authorities to get them now.
I can hear the banjos playing…

Dan was rude and inconsiderate. I have no idea how many times I have had to rent a car from Enterprise when he promised me my Audi would be done. It’s one excuse to another. The car rentals were out of pocket. Almost at $ 800 for rental fees I was already irritated. Finally he said it was done. When I drove it on the freeway towards Fife, my Audi started clanking and grinding. So I took a chance to the Audi dealership and they did a diagnostic on my car. He never fixed the timing belt and other half done work. Audi quoted my repair to $ 5000.00 due to Dan’s incompetent service. Audi dealership called him and said I can legally sue Dan.
Dan’s response was because be had outdated tools. He however paid for the repairs. Had he stayed honest it would may have been different. I just know Audi, Mercedes, Lexus any luxury foreign cars do not go there.

Let me preface this comment by stating that my opinion is not based on the quality of his work, but on a more personal level. On Saturday, Feb 14^th, 2015 my seven year old grandson and I were walking by his auto /​service/​repair /​restoration shop when the kid told me he needed to use a restroom. We walked inside and a man with his cell head phone attachment asked what we wanted. I asked if my grandson could use a bathroom and the immediate response was, «NO.» I thought he was kidding around and we all stood there for a few seconds and he repeated, «NO.»
It soon became apparent this guy was dead serious and at that point I told my grandson we should just get out of there.
My grandson’s father is a Major in the US Army JAG corp and the family lives in a beautiful apartment around the corner on Broadway.
My wife and I had just flown in from Boston on Thursday awaiting the arrival of our third grandson which will be any day now, but what an experience this was!
I understand there are clowns everywhere (we have plenty in Boston) but I never figured I’d be dealing with such a jerk so soon into our trip.
He might be a great «car guy» but there should be some medication that might alleviate what appears to be a real personality disorder.
So go ahead pal and get back to your car work and take a good look in the mirror after you’ve greeted your grandkids the next time you see them.

Dan has taken care of my ’79 928 for 7 years and was always honest and accessible. His team accurately assesed the problems and forecasted what I could expect in the next year so I was never surprised. With this particular car and the facts that I am not a mechanic and I didn’t have any workspace at my house, I was completely dependent on Dan and his team. He did not let me down! His garage even stored my car for the years that I was away on deployment. Sad to say goodbye to Dan due to my move to NC. I can only hope to find somebody as honest and experienced in classic european cars.

Dan is the one of the top foreign auto mechanics in town. He is my first choice of the last five years when my car needs repair. I always get great service and a good explanation of the problem. I never leave disappointed.
My only gripe is one time my car needed new electronics and I forgot to ask Dan for his estimate before authorizing the work. I assumed that car electronics were cheap. When I saw my very large bill, I almost had a heart attack. Dan and I worked it out and I’ve been happy with his service ever since. I would much rather work with a mechanic who truly helps you rather than some questionable shop that leaves you hanging or worse.
Dan’s prices are fair to slightly high. This is because Dan never buys used or crummy parts. All parts are from reputable manufacturers and reliable vendors. While some parts can take a couple of days to order, many parts are in stock or available the same day.
I’ve really come to appreciate Dan’s quality.

I took my 2001 VW Cabrio in because the check engine light was on. The guy working there (didn’t get his name, unfortunately) hooked up a little handheld device to it and identified why it was on. Based on what the computer told him, all he had to do was tighten the gas cap, and the light went off. He didn’t charge me a dime.

I’ve used Dan on a couple of different German vehicles I’ve owned including my current VW. Always been very happy with his service. His prices are fair — especially compared to dealer — and he’s always willing to talk about what he’s doing, what he’d recommend, and what will be coming up. Dan is also a good resource on European cars if you’re thinking of something in particular and want an opinion. He also does pre-​purchase inspections if you’re looking at a used car.

Seriously short on people skills. Pressure salesman.Aggressivly overposts on Craigslist’s auto ads. Like talking to a hyperactive chihuahah that won’t listen. Can’t be bothered to tell or text VIN #‘s or milage. Wants you to COME SEE his inventory. This guy was way too shady & aggressive for me.
