Worst quality of BBQ we’ve had in long time. Ordered brisket salad and a kids Mac n chz trying to quick turn our meal and get the kids home and in bed. 30 min later we got our salads and the brisket on top of salad was super cold, as in, never was heated or possibly leftovers from yesterday. The server apologized and then told us that the brisket could have gotten cold bc it was waiting on the Kraft Mac n chz, but even if that«theory» was right the salad beneath the brisket would have been slightly warm or wilted… instead ours was cold. The server brought out new brisket which was appropriately warm. The meat was ok. We get this place isn’t known for salads but the fact that on a slow Monday night such an easy meal could be done incorrectly is ridiculous. We won’t be visiting this establishment again.

Famous Dave’s are you kidding me? Never heard of him. BBQ? Not so fast. You should really take a look in the mirror, no wait take a look at the plate. This is extremely average BBQ. For the cost of what they are charging I should of left with that bloaty feeling. Instead I left feeling hungry and disappointed. Kinda like after going to see Zoolander 2. Do yourself a favor save some cash and take a trip to Texas or maybe puyallup for some better BBQ. Definitely Texas you will thank me.

Very very good BBQ, the atmosphere is simple, log country style, silent tv’s all over, low background music. Large tables with fairly comfortable seating. Lighting over our table was a bit bright but tolerable. We ordered the feast for one, gave us a great variety of food, it fed the two of us with left overs, we also ordered the burnt brisket ends, so so good, came with shoestring onion rings,(if you can call them rings) they were good, not too strong of a flavor. The Wilbur Beans had great flavor and seemed to be their own creation, we also ordered sides of the mac and cheese, it was hearty with good mild cheese flavor with a low spice to it, and the garlic red skin mashed potatoes, had good flavor as well but were your basic mashed potatoes. The coleslaw had some good flavor, sweet but not too sweet, I liked it. The ribs were smoked just right as well as the pulled pork served over a slice of Texas bread. Corn bread was moist sweet and warm. The corn on the cob was well done but had good flavor and came off the cob easily. The famous fries were your basic steak fries but were not bad, I really enjoyed the pickled onions and the pickles slices, which were sweet and spicy. The service was not bad, Travis our server,(BBQ guide master) did get a little busy, but another server stepped in for a moment. Our drinks were always full and you could tell they really wanted you to have a great experience. We will definitely be back traveling over 200 miles to get here unless there is a place closer to us and we will look.

Waited an hour in the bar with no food or service in sight. Server was nice, but hardly visited the table. Walked out & wont be back. #ByeFelcia

The BEST barbecue place I have ever been to! I just moved here from Georgia and my family and I wanted to try something new. They didn’t disappoint at all! We got the dinner for 2 for $ 50. Definitely worth it!

I am biased about my BBQ since I lived about 5 years in the South, so I would rather make my own at home and save a few bucks and have better food. But, if you find yourself out and looking for BBQ and there is a Famous Dave’s around you will enjoy your meal. BBQ is always pricey no matter where you go so there is no difference here. Also you can’t have decent BBQ without the sides being good and Dave’s doesn’t disappoint here either; some of my favorites are their mac and cheese and their cornbread muffins. This time we were here for lunch and they were moderately busy, but service was kind of lacking. We were met promptly and food came out pretty quick as well, but that was about the last time anyone stopped by, I ran out of water and had to ask for more. Not a big deal, but when you are eating spicy and salty food water is important. Overall not a bad place to stop and get BBQ, well unless you are in the South.

We come here ALOT. I loveeeee BBQ and their sauces and fricken awesome. However the service is so inconsistent and it’s getting old, hard to convince the husband to keep going back when you never know if it’ll take 40minutes or 3hours to eat. But if you have time to gamble then I’d say go here because the food doesn’t disappoint

used this location to cater a family lunch! It was very good and I have tons of leftovers! My husband and I have eaten at Famous Dave’s before and enjoy their food a lot. The lunch we ordered for delivery catering to our house was: Pulled Pork perfectly cooked and perfect drizzle of sauce over it in the pan Ribs — perfection(nice smoke ring on it) and perfect amount of sauce and flavor Brisket — perfect balance of fat and meat, nice smoke ring and flavor Chicken Wings — I picked BBQ flavor(had a few kids) and I knew spicy would not be the way to go. These were a hit Baked Beans — perfection homemade baked beans I can’t say enough Coleslaw — best coleslaw I’ve had, not to saucy and still super crunchy Buns — yummy buns for the pulled pork Kahlua Drizzled Brownie — very chocolatey and rich but oh so tasty! All in All, this was a great choice and I’m glad we went with it. For those interested they have 3 options for catering service. Full — they come cook, clean up, and serve. Delivery — they cook at the restaurant, deliver, and give you everything needed to serve. Pick up — they cook at the restaurant, you pick up but you still get everything needed to serve. It was a wonderful experience and I have nothing but the highest amount of praise for the staff at this location. Ms Mary and her catering team, are amazing!

If you’re coming here from the southeast and expecting good southern bbq, you will be disappointed. It wasn’t bad, just definitely not the best. They also advertise having sweet tea but we actually had to ask for sugar packets because it barely had any sugar in it. The mac and cheese is good, but it’s different… has corn and jalapeños in it. The corn muffin was by far the best of the food items.

This place is pretty expensive for small portions of subpar BBQ and okayish sides. I believe there is better out there.

I usually enjoy famous dave’s, for what Washington has to offer regarding«BBQ», however, this location was the worst experience by far. My Bloody Mary had absolutely zero alcohol & I’d know because I’m a light-weight. The burnt ends that I always get we’re all fat & was probably only given a spoonful. The waitress & bartender were never to be found & when they were they barely said a word. We watched a group of people at the bar for 15 minutes & they were never served so they left. This location made me realize I’m too nice of a person.

I called in to go order at 1105 am was told 20 minutes. Its 1220 p. m still waiting. WTF. WHAT’S the use if even calling. They are running around with their melons cut off. Food finally arrives.(out of 5 stars) The pork ribs were 3.5 stars, the brisket 3, the burnt tips 3.5, the hot links a solid 1 star. They were more like hot dogs, very mild and bland tasting. Service was horrible the order taker didn’t know the menu had me on hold 7 minutes to find out if hot links were pork or beef. Saying she just started. Have a knowledgeable person answer phones. She couldn’t give a total on phone either. Food is a solid 3. Service was a 1

Used to love this place but it has gotten steadily worse over the recent years. They used to have a great smoked salmon salad which was discontinued :( The various dishes vary a lot in quality and between visits, and depending upon what you order. But during our last visit we ordered the savory bbq salad — it should have been called gristle salad — no meat just pure nasty gristle, yuck! It took 2 tries of the server getting the wrong order before getting our gristle salad btw.

Coming in the place was warm and very outdoorsy. I love it! Being seated next to the fireplace, it was family oriented. While going out on a girls night, this was not the place we expected to be, but perfect place for our starving bellies. Starting off with perfect waiter, for our first time there he was amazing and laying out the menu and idea of the restaurant. While helping us on the menu, we ordered the family plate, and it was a great deal of food, and I never enjoyed myself to content until that moment. Great food! Especially if you like barbecue, there are so many options, and they have corn bread to die for!

This location is bigger than it looks and we’ve never had to wait very long to be seated. The hospitality is great! The staff is really friendly and the management always makes sure you enjoy your visit. They don’t have a problem comping a few items if the service is slow and they’ll bend over backwards to make sure your happy with your order. The food is your typical bbq fare and although I’ve had better, I still keep coming back to Dave’s. The sauces are the celebrities of this restaurant and you’ll definitely want to try them all. We always bring a few home with us too because they bottle it and all it. If you’re long for some good grub at a good value in the Tacoma area then visit Famous Dave’s.

After a crazy day hiking the Skyline Trail on Mt. Rainier, we finally came down the mountain, it got dark and then it was time for dinner. Where did the time go, I wonder… We opted here because although it was located in a strip plaza just like everything else in the area and had unfortunately had reminded us of Brandon FL — home of the chain restaurants — I had eaten at the original Famous Dave’s in MN, my husband was never at one before and well, I had a good experience at the one, we needed to eat and don’t have one of these back home, might as well give it a go. And, we were not disappointed. We were there still in time for $ 5 large draft happy hour and ordered the burnt tips and onion rings as an app. They were really good. I had the boneless wings with the sweet pineapple chili sauce with corn, cornbread, wild rice and chicken soup… SOMUCHFOOD!(Took more than half as leftovers!) My husband had the ribs and pork combo and he enjoyed it too. Details on my meal: The boneless wings were large, not overly breaded and the sauce was not terribly overpowering. It had good flavor. The wild rice and chicken soup was creamy, not a broth. It was pretty good too. And, the cornbread was really good — moist, tasty, mmmmm good! Our waiter, Mike, was very friendly as well. Chatty and interesting. Interested, even, in our adventurous day! I would recommend it to anyone in the area.

Loved the décor in this place! Wonder if all the Famous Dave’s are done the same? our wait person was«Famous Mike» and he was great — busy but very attentive. I ordered the ribs which came with two sides and a corn muffin. I chose favorites — Mac and Cheese and coleslaw. When Mike asked about our food, I told him I didn’t realize the Mac and cheese had jalapeño peppers. He immediately offered a different side — the steamed broccoli he brought me was perfect. The coleslaw wasn’t terrific either it had way too much creamy dressing. The ribs though we’re tender, tasty, meaty and sauced perfectly. My husband was disappointed with his brisket dinner. The meat was tender, but pretty blah. It didn’t have the smoky flavor we expected, nor the crusty outer bark we enjoy. Maybe it would have benefited from a good saucing at the table. He did enjoy his fries.

This place isn’t bad. I did find it a bit pricy for what you are getting. The service was awesome but the food was ok. Had the platter and there are not that much meat. Lots of fries, corn etc to make it look like you are getting a lot. The fries was really good. As well, I love the coleslaw. The coleslaw was really fresh. It comes up to around $ 25 per person. The beef was a bit dry but the other things are ok or good. This is a chain restaurant. But one thing that interested me was their décor. I love their décor. Every bit of the wall has something interesting. I will come back again.

Ate here with a couple of friends for a late dinner around 6:45pm. The restaurant was busier than expected, so we sat in the bar area. Let’s just say we sat down at 6:50 and didn’t get our food until 7:45pm. :/the waitress didn’t ignore us though, she kept apologizing for the long wait and informed us that their cooks were short staff. I ordered the sweet water catfish with Mac n cheese and Wilbur beans. The catfish was delicious. A nice batter that wasn’t too salty and had a nice crispy crunch with each bite. The side dishes were just okay, nothing too special. Not my first choice for BBQ food, but it wasn’t bad. I don’t blame the waitress for the long wait – stuff happens. I was starving though around 7:30pm.
